This was an interesting documentary I have not seen before. But there are many documentaries about this murder and all seams reasonable and come to different conclusions. The more you learn about the murder the less you know. The whole investigation, murder and all the different types of leads are just a big mess and so totally different. From the theory of a lone gunman to PKK, the police, the Israel secret service and so on.
There is just too much information available and the truth is hidden somewhere in all the leads gathered.
It's interesting to listen to all the theories but I don't think it will ever be solved, even if it will be solved people will still not believe it and the conspiracy is just going to continue. If remember correctly this is the second biggest crime investigation in the world after the JFK assassination, so whatever you want to believe about the murder you could probably find prof of your theory.
Edit: The Police officially solved the murder of Olof Palme year 2020, according to the Police it was Stig Engström "Skandiamannen (Skandia man)" Skandia was an insurance company he worked for at the same street Palme was shoot and he was for a long time just a witness to the killing. Really a nobody that has never been of any bigger interest to the Police. But in 2020 the Police said he did it and unfortunately, he had died and could not defend himself in court or anything like that. Police just said it was him.
I really don't think many people believe he did it, because it really came from nowhere. It more looked like the police did not want to investigate this murder forever and forever so it was easy to blame a dead person.
I have not seen it but there seems to be a miniseries on Netflix about the Skandia man. "The Unlikely Murderer"
There is also a series called "We Got This" about an American trying to solve a murder. It's a comedy crime/ mystery series.
There are a lot of articles, documentaries and all kinds of stuff made based on the murder and the different theories.

26:00 If a politician was caught doing something in that direction they are out in the cold ,
and that applies in all parties .
But in most parties they are kicked out because they do not go together with the values of our democratic society .
In others because they can't keep quiet about what they think .

Okay so that would be the case for a politician, that makes far more sense.

Wait... Are they saying Ingvar Carlsson stepped down as Prime Minister? He governed between 86 to 91 didn't he?

The docu is from I believe 2002 or around there so that probably concerns 1996.

Yeah it threw me for a loop. I assumed it was all right after.

The narrator made a huge error regarding SÄPO, the Swedish Security police. He claimed that it was formed during World War Two in Denmark, during the nazi occupation. This is of course incorrect. The danish security police is SIPO and it has nothing to do with Swedish SÄPO. The fact checks in this documentary is unfortunately not the best.

Crazy, but sad, well, so many hated him, so we will never know the truth. In sweden its tabu to be a racist or have a connection to a nazi or so, but at that time many polices had extreme right wing ideology, as a opposite towards the socialistic international winds societie inheritaded from 60:s and 70:s.

24:50 no . . . . on a smaller scale it exists , but not as obvious to the public .
But when a certain party became bigger , certain crimes became worse .

30:50 Ingvar Carlsson was prime minister 1986-1991 and 1994-1996 .
But after the death of Olof Palme he was thrown in as a prime minister .
This have to be from 1996 so 10 years after the murder when Göran Persson got the prime minister post 1996 after Ingvar Carlsson .
So this is just a ¨good¨ editing from the producer of this documentary .
The 2 guys on the roof is true but i don't know of the date of this .

Yeah it definitely came across as if this was immediately after the assassination. I didn’t realize until afterwards that wasn’t the case.
