With regard to Yogas by association, I have Mercury debilitated in 4th house Pisces in a Parivartan Yoga with Jupiter in 7th house Gemini. Also, Venus is Exalted in Pisces conjunct debilitated Mercury and Saturn as a Neech Bhang "Raj Yoga". Mercury is Atmakaraka while Venus is Ghatnikaraka and Saturn is Dara Karaka. During the chara Dashas/ Anatar dashars of Gemini & Virgo would it play out as a normal Neech Bhang Yoga of Mercury giving adverse results first then positive results.
So do the sun and the moon also act as neutral/impressionable lords? Or is that reserved only for the other planets? What about Rahu and Ketu? What about planets that rule both an impressionable house and another that’s not? In my chart, Saturn rules both 8th and 7th and is in the 7th. It’s in the 7th with my Yogakaraka Mars (ruling the 5th and the 10th and exalted in Capricorn) and my 2nd lord Sun. I’m assuming then that both Sun and Saturn dashas will give the result of Mars…

I find Obama’s situation very interesting… he never really knew his father. His father pretty much ignored him until death. But his father was a brilliant man, a big shot in Kenya (he was partly responsible for the formation of the Kenyan government), but then he succumbed to rampant alcoholism and eventual accidental death. Anybody know HIS dob? Anyway, Obama senior’s influence on Barack was more spiritual/mental than physical nearness. It was immensely influential though and I believe had it not been for Barack’s grandparents’ and mother’s firm (and loving) guiding hand, Barack’s life could well have been very different and we may not have gotten the first black POTUS when we did. But as evinced in Dreams From My Father, the influence of this absent father in his life was extremely formidable and formative.
