I wish I had watched this a few months ago when I had a tuneup done on my 2000 sienna. They told me they had to take the engine apart and that was why it cost me 700! I will never go back to that shop now and I've been there a few times. Thank you!

5:30 finally . I watched several videos where mechanics just throw spark plugs in without anti seize. I did that ones and spark plugs were bonded so badly to the block that mechanic on service station couldn't replace them later on. He had to soak spark plugs in penetrating oil for couple of hours. Since then I always use anti seize. Only I use Copper for high temperature. Thanks for video.

These spark plug locations are horribly designed. I have a 98 Sienna and have to do the same. I’ve saved most of your videos and you’re a great mechanic
I also don't like the fact that it takes so much work to do something as basic as spark plugs. :)
The wiper-motor should come off together with the lower cowl. (Don't turn those two-bolts.)
It's easy-peasy to disconnect its electrical harness if you just roll the cowl over -- a bit.
You omitted the PCV valve story. One should ALWAYS swap out your PCV valve during the spark plug R&R procedure.
They are cheap... and so easy to work on with the cowl out of the way. (The PCV valve connection line gets in the way of the spark plug swap.)
I liked your tissue paper trick -- a lot.
Steel threads into aluminum blocks => always use anti-seize goop. So, good move.
But anti-seize lubricates threads, both ways. So you need to back off your torque setting. Steel into aluminum = risk.
I would always blow clean the Mass Air Flow sensor during a plug R&R. I use the CRC stuff. It takes 60-seconds -- with the cowl removed.
Wobbles and extensions make it possible to turn most of the spark plug threads from just in front of the fire wall... per your video. Nice.

LOL I had a guy last night tell me he needed his plugs changed on his 2000 Sienna. I watched all of these terrible videos tell you to take all of this stuff off. You have enough room to get your hand and ratchet under the rear of the intake manifold to do the rear plugs. Took me 36 minutes start to finish. Charged $150 for labor 😂😂😂

Question, I see many spark plug videos, nobody mentions when to do the coils. Should change the coil packs while in there? Or not unless throwing a code etc
I am not an expert on that. Maybe someone who knows more can comment. I am not bothering with coil packs until I see a code. :)

It is not in the owners manual, but you will find it in the repair manual. Of course, I can't give advice on your vehicle, but without prejudice I can give you information about my vehicle. My spark plugs are 13 ft/lbs.
How did you get your engine room so clean?

Sorry. Can't trust your advice. From the very beginning of your video everything looks too clean, and the plastic, etc. in too good of shape for a twenty-year-old vehicle. This has got to all be fake. CGI perhaps?
All joking aside, the ignition coils on my 2001 Sienna XLE look entirely different, and I'm the original owner, and know they are the factory originals that came with the vehicle. Mine have an annoying plastic clip on the connector that all too easily breaks.

You went through all that work to put in the wrong plugs? They have to be double electrode dude.
