- Follow us on this hunt in october for roedeer. We have been waiting for a weather change, and this morning offered drop in wind, and wind from the right direction. The buck need´s to wait untill next summer, and the big ole doe´s is still nursing the fawns. So in the beginning of the season we are hunting for the doe fawn´s.
Shot´s fired at: 04:05
Bow is Bodnik Mohawk Recurve 55@28 and the arrow is Grizzlystik Momentum Black 450, with a Zwickey Delta 4 blade. Arrow weight is about 600 grain

Yearlings are easier to drag out too. :) Four blade Delta makes a hole and wins the day. Looked like liver shot. Two sets of eyes are better the one for tracking. Better to share part of the hunt with a friend as well. Thanks for sharing.

Do you notice any more bleeding with the 4 blade zwickeys compared to the 2 blade? I've always used 2 blade green fred bear heads without the auxiliary blade and switched up to wensel woodsmans.
Clay we need minimum 3 blades acording to our law, to hunt roedeer. Thats why I’m using the 4 blade.

This is an Asbell Pathfinder. It’s very comfortable as the outer layer, but it can’t stand alone. I use several layers inside. Thanks for watching

Yes I have! But we don’t have any public land to hunt here, so I know most of my trees and have the time to prepare. Saddle’s are nice, though

I hunt a roedeer from approach, lately never use a heavy poundage bow, only 50 lbn uukha limbs, work greate with a n d arrow 500grn, german jaeger point or similar. a roe deer is weak on wound, usually shot chest area dies in 100meters
Roedeer can be hunted with almost every poundage and every limb. No problem with a 40 pounds either. I have killed several with around 40 pounds my self. We also aiming for the internal vitals, so if it´s standing broadside it´s behind the front leg, and if quartering away, its a little far back, and from a treestand a little high and so on. We are obligated by law to use minimum 3 bladed broadheads.
