    "Hunting is Bad" ... This is the most common response by people that live in countries with no animals and no education on the subject. America has many many animals because their population is studied and maintained by wildlife biologists, paid for by the sale of hunting and fishing products and licenses. If other countries adopted these same practices, they too would have great animal populations. If you would like further education on the subject I recommend you google search the Pittman Robertson Act. By assigning a value to the animals, we can then pay biologists and conservationists to regulate the proper amount of animals to take from the population each year in relation to the animals being born. When the population is too high, animals are highly susceptible to disease, and that is mother natures way of thinning the population. Without implementing game laws, its a free-for-all and animal populations are quickly depleted. There is a proper balance that is needed and in order to pay for that intensive study, we have large taxes on hunting and fishing gear as well as licenses sold to the public. The Pitmann-Robertson act has been in place for over 100 years in America and this system has brought the whitetail deer, elk, turkey, and bison back from near extinction in the early 1900s. The R&P Act also has paid for MILLIONS of acres of natural habitat to be permanently protected from human development, and other counties cannot boast that ....so by jumping on the anti-hunting bandwagon, You are actually the cause of depleted animal populations. I also cannot emphasize enough how little I care about "how much you think you are right". Science, facts, and statistics are greater than your emotionally driven opinions.

      @Khaak Rak That's absolutely correct, and that is the same exact thing that has happened to animals in other countries. That is completely unregulated hunting. The systems now in place (listed above) have brought back these animals, including bison from near extinction to now about 500,000 in current population. The current threat to bison is no longer hunting, but rather the farm and cattle industry. In fact, hunters are the only reason these animals are at the high numbers there are.

    • @huntprimitive9918
      @huntprimitive9918  4 роки тому

      @Khaak Rak Yes, being in America and a very active contributor to the Robertson Pittman Excise taxes, I am quite studied on the system and good work that is has done. That is of course all well after the great bison massacres. Usually folks in other countries are raised under the teaching of hunting is bad or only for the very rich. I only wish other countries would put the same systems in place that America has.

      Khaak Rak lol. Where I live the deer have no predators except the occasional bear, wolf, or puma, and they are overpopulated, to the point where they are spilling out into the roads and getting hurt. That might explain why there aren’t many animals near you, because there is a balanced ecosystem, and they don’t have to go out into your area.

    By far the most respectful and real way to provide your own meat. To take that animal's life you have to actually train: Making the bow, the arrow, training your shot, luring the animal and your ability to remain undetected, hunting down the creature, and of course preparing it's meat. You have to be worthy to take that animals life, unlike paying McDonalds a dollar to do the job for you in industrialised killing houses...

    Great video. I have a bow that was made out of a Osage Orange tree off my own land. I had hoped to use it this year to hunt with, but alas, I fell out of a tree last October and destroyed my left shoulder. I had reverse shoulder replacement and I still cannot pull a bow back well enough to hunt. I have been hunting for 40 years and this is the first time I have fallen. I did not have a safety belt on because I was coming down. I cringed when I saw you climb that tree and not put on a safety belt. Take it from someone who has learned the hard way, use a safety belt when you are in a tree. Thanks for the video.

      Steve Matherson Are you actually stupid. Maybe research on hunting before you write something. Hunters the proper ones always try to make a shot in heart so that the animal dies as quick as possible. And also, hunting is neccecary on animals that overpopulate forests and surpress other animals. For example when Wolves get overpopulated deer population will decrease because of obvious reasons, and in time the wolves also will vanish since no food for them. To keep the balance hunters kill wolves before they overpopulate to keep the balance at all times. Because there always is a chance that lets say wolfs could eat all the deer and no more would be born since all ded

      @Steve Matherson my good man, while other people in favour of hunting talking to you seem to be angry, I am going to try and explain to you why it is okay. So, if I understood correctly, nature should be left alone? In that case, a wolf killing a deer is okay. But we are also part of nature, we are simply using better techniques, as opposed to biting the throat, we build weapons and use them. It is not unfair, or bad, and only by not hunting would we be messing with nature. We are predators, and as such, we should hunt and eat, that is simply how things are. To do anything different would be to "mess with nature and it's beautiful creatures"

      Zack, I don't want to take over this channel's thread with a discussion of my bow but I will tell you there are a couple of videos on my channel about my bow and watching me shoot is a bit in practice. It's a 50 pound pull Bear Kodiak Magnum bow, being 52 inches tall. Very maneuverable and an extremely solid, smooth shooting but powerful bow. It was a bow Fred Bear created for his own hunts.
      Maintenance on the bow is minimal. The secret to long life is treating the bow with care and not abusing it. I always clean off the bow after every hunt and do a full inspection before every hunt. The bow is always stored laying flat and unstrung. This prevents limb warping which is the main reason for bow failure.
      Got any questions, just ask them on my channel and I will be happy to respond more.
