To correct the guy here. Nachos were created in Mexico in the 1940s. And are named after the creator who's name was Ignacio Anaya. So yes. Nachos are a wholly Mexican creation.

While you are correct by origin. As someone born in Mexico and raised there he is colloquially correct. We don’t eat them nearly as much as Americans do.

My favorite parts of these videos are when the person starts describing the cooks personality based on the dish. You can really tell a lot about someone in the way they cook and present their food.

Mexico is a big country and there are a lot of regional differences of the same foods. Nachos originated in Northern Mexico so yes it is Mexican.
just to clarify here in the states they called them nachos or chips but in Mexico its called Totopos!!! because they made of tortilla
