  • In line with its comprehensive emergency health intervention, IOM has conducted extensive training for community health activists across Cabo Delgado and Nampula Provinces on several topics. These trainings include Hygiene Promotion with a focus on cholera prevention, community-based nutrition screening using MUAC tapes in coordination with the nutrition cluster, and HIV Self-Testing empowering individuals to know their status and seek timely treatment. By equipping community health activists with these essential skills, IOM ensures a community-centered approach to health emergencies. These trainings are integral to IOM’s efforts to build local capacity and enhance the resilience of communities facing health crises.
