Thank you! The original radio works so didn't want to replace it, the suitcase has the amplifier inside and it's connected to the car battery, so I can easily remove it without affecting originality. It really blasts, will upload a video about it later. Cheers.
It was my dream too! Until I finally found one and worked on it for years, I’d definitely go with a pre 65 since these had two tone / two fabric interior and felt more luxurious higher quality
The sunroof is a nice touch. I had a 1967 KG (here in Southern California), and the interior got pretty warm (hot!) in the summer. The body shape is very aerodynamic, so I couldn’t get much airflow into the cab; and it doesn’t have wind wings like my 1963 VW Beetle, so there’s no mechanism to circulate air in. I also had a 1964 Kombi, many years ago.
Me either! Always dreamed of having or adapting one and found this top with a sunroof in Texas probably installed by the dealership since all the mechanism is Golde, pretty rare.
Really cool ride Sergio!! I’ve got a 65 with seasand and pearlwhite top, original color, Yes the suspension is what I’m curious about, lowered methods😎also you’re headliner, original? Window rubber original?
How can you have an air conditioner without a compressor? Normally, the A/C in these VWs doesn't work very well and draws a lot of power away from the engine.
Somebody is going to rear-end your exhaust and it doesn't look right. Find something else that doesn't project out the back. I think Monza has a nice sounding system.
The OEM supplier of sunroofs for VW's is Golde. Golde's design is instantly recognisable and the design of yours doesn't match the design of theirs. There's a chance that their design has evolved and you have to remember that the bodies were built by Karmann at Osnabrook, nort VW at Wolsburg.
I want one...Sun roof..
Beautiful ghia.
Thanks !
i love how your stereo is in a period suitcase. great job on the car!

I like the way the sunroof slides up and back. Sweet looking ride.
Thanks !!
I love Ghias and especially this one! Great job!
Thank you very much
That car is my dream car along with my go to year for a Karmann Ghia.

@@sergioromero2k I have a few plans for my future Karmann Ghia (that is if I can get one but they cost a bomb in the UK)
@@sergioromero2k to be more precise, half Porsche 912, half Type 14 Karmann Ghia

You're absolutely right, the sunroof really helps with the heat
Never saw one with a sun roof (cool)! Working on my 69 ghia now!👍

hi Sergio great job! Do you still have the car?
Hi! Yes, I still have it, it's been now 10 years with me
How can you have an air conditioner without a compressor? Normally, the A/C in these VWs doesn't work very well and draws a lot of power away from the engine.
I run it with an electric compressor, draws a lot of energy so can’t really run it at night with headlights on
🚗💕 que lindoooo
nice
Thanks!!
What type of ac unit is that
it's a AC unit from the 50s, taken from a Chevy in AZ
Está chevere
Gracias !
I was not even aware that they made them with a sunroof.
They are extremely rare, there's only like 20 of them

I usually park in reverse against the wall or something and it only sticks out like 5 inches, no one would normally be that close to your car

28 Degrees (Celsius) is 82 Degrees to you and me.
