OMG Ains how awesome do they look! One of the rare times the black edges of laser cutting _enhance_ the look of the final piece with all the layers. I think you are onto a winner here!
Thanks James!! Super happy with the end result and worth pushing through as now I have a system for the future. Really shows the ability of the laser 😀
Totally amazing. I’ve been on the fence about getting a laser or small CNC. This has helped loads and I’m now saving for one.
Cheers
Fantastic. The lasers are so much fun and so many possbilities. Thanks for stopping by
Ains, these signs are phenomenal and much nicer than what I’ve seen at the shops. A beautiful keepsake for the kids. Love it!!!
Thank you!! Such a joy to make and see the smile on the kids faces!! 😀😀
Wow! They look awesome!!
Thank you

Hey Vipun Thank you. Constantly blown away with the possibilites.
They look amazing from colour to design selection
Thank you! Cheers!
Love these! Awesome job! Thanks for sharing your talent!
Thanks Bill 😀😀
Wow what a fantastic video and result. I don’t even have a laser (yet??) and found this super informative and inspiring. You have such a great presentation style and pace. Subscribed!
Thank you. I’m happy with the end result and it was worth the hard work 😀 glad your enjoying the content. Thanks for stopping by
Nice work once again Ainslee. Your signs look fantastic. Well done!!
Thank you Darren . Lots of fun to make once I sorted out the process
You have certainly progressed your skills , they look great.🪚
Thank you. Nice to see the improvement and gain more skills :)
You made some beautiful signs!
Thank you 😀
And you said you weren't creative... These turned out and look fantastic... well done. Love to add a laser to my collection. Look forward to more content.
😃 definitely improving. Thank you for stopping by. The laser is so much fun
Thank you.. Great work
Thanks for stopping by
Great tips Ainslee, and wow look at those results! I'm looking at this type of work in my shop as well and your videos are helping! cheers!
Glad I could help. They were a tonne of fun to make once I worked out to paint the plywood first. Pretty easy from there :)
Fantastic work. My Sculpfun is arriving Tuesday, very excited. Can I ask what the thin material you were using was please.
wooooowwwww amazing!!!!
Thank you. They were tonnes of fun to make. Glad you enjoyed the content
Love your work 👍
Thank you so much 😀
The signs look great Ainslee 👍🏻
Thanks Vic 😀
Those look great! Nice one!
Thank you :)
I think your idea of creative and mine may be different. Someone may not always have the technical skills or software or tools to design or produce some of the individual components of a project. But it still takes plenty of creativity to take those parts and put them together and make something with them, without following someone else already made pattern exactly. Well done
So true. Have to put it all together which is a challenge. So much learnt through the process and glad with the end result 😀
Great video! Really well articulated and loved all you had to say. I've got a CNC with a router, but might just look at getting the laser module for it too!
Thank you. OO yes a laser module for the CNC would be awesome. Endless options. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by
Hi Ainslee I really enjoyed this video it's really nice to see an Aussie maker, do you have a video explaining where to get your supplies from eg. wood and CA glues.
Hey Thank you. I don't have a particular video but I get my glues and the like from Hammeroo and timber I get from either facebook market place or bunnings mostly. I'm always hunting on Facebook for people getting rid of timber or good deals.
Very nice! I just got a laser and found you channel. Lots of inspiration for my projects so thanks for sharing. I did notice you were doing alignment of layers with masking tape. Wouldn’t it be easier if you just engraved the shapes and then use that for your guide?
Hi! Thank you for doing the video , it’s great and thought they turned out brilliantly! I’m a newbie to the Sculpfun . Have you cut acrylic with it yet and if you have do you have any hints and tips or settings you could share please? I’m looking to cut 3mm but only into simple shapes to start.
Thank you. I have cut acrylic a couple of times. I have only tried Black. The laser will only cut dark colour acrylics. In terms of settings I use the same as 3mm plywood and just up the number of passes.
What glasses do you use to protect your eyes
Amazing job….thanks so much for sharing….what program do you use for the designs….I’m new to using a laser I have a cricut….thanks in advance for you help😊
Thank you :) I use Lightburn to make all the designs as it also controls the laser. But you can use any software where you can make an SVG file and then import into LIghtburn to send to the laser if you perfer.
What are your setting so you don’t get burn soot on the painted pieces
Thank you! What type of glue are you using?
I use Starbond CA medium to glue all the pieces down to the timber
Cute signs! What's the max thickness you can cut?
The laser can cut up to 10mm plywood but I have the best, cleaniess and consistent results with 3mm ply
Hi,
I have just purchased a Sculpfun S10. Can you please tell me what cut settings are working well for you when cutting your, what looks like 6mm plywood?
Thanks, Adam,
I’m cutting 3mm. I use 300mm/min and 70% power and 3 passes. All material is a little different so I’m always running tests. Hopefully that helps 😀
Your machine are 10w ?
Very useful video and I love it!!!
Thank you!! Such a great machine!!
