Some bad whiffs but really good AI overall. Sub-5:30 soon I feel, from either me or Chamayo.
Getting the full rushing charge ➡ strong charge ➡ strong wide slash on the double fireball ➡ fire wall combo from a fresh stagger is pretty tight, timing on the rushing charge has to be very good, helps to position to have his head push you a little as it's coming back too.

Thanks! I could make a set with this one that is basically the same as the Garuga one, but with a bit of extra dragon, so I thought I might as well use it. Plus I just really like this GS.

OMG, amazing run, I could never get the hang of GS honestly, I'm not good at positioning or timing but you did everything pretty much perfectly, congrats, I'm still not able to solo the fatty yet. I was also wondering what transmog you have, it looks cool and I'm always on the hunt for fashion sets!

imo Strong charge is how Brave GS should have been made, none of the free focus draw attacks, and kept Stricker as the Crit Draw Styles, and Guil as a Hybrid of the 2

I need to ask, why did you not exploit it's fire weakness?
Or is it equally as weak to dragon as it is to fire? Personally I don't think I've noticed a difference, but maybe that is just me.
Because if so, maybe running something like the Rathalos' GS, or even dread king's. May have been a smarter idea.
Regardless , the run was amazing. And the build is certainly good.

The head takes a lot more from dragon: 30 compared to 15 fire.
The goal of this set was to have 100% affinity for the whole fight, so the base affinity was important. The most common set for that is the same skills as this one but sharpness+1 instead of +2, and with the Garuga GS. The Garuga GS set is very easy to make with common charms, but I have access to one that lets me make it with this GS instead to take advantage of the bit of dragon.
Element is usually the last consideration for GS anyway, it just so happened to be free with the options I had and what I wanted.
The best set for this fight is the standard unsheathed Ahtal-Ka set: Weakness exploit, critical boost, critical eye+3, challenger+2, focus. I had just gotten mad when using it and having a lot of hits not crit due to it only having 80% affinity when unenraged and 95% when enraged so I made this one. It has higher overall effective raw though.
