i have myself MX-30 full EV car as secound family car. im really happy of it. Regarding km in the winter time that you can drive. My case in Norway in 0 celsius in full charge it shows you can drive 160-170 km . but when our daily needs are 50-60km, we have no problem . about home charging. we have 5,8kw home charging station and to charge car from 20 km to full it takes about 6h 30 min. no stress at all if you charging during night time. so far in had no problems with car. one think i should adress that for me it took some time to adept to side Mirrors. i think that one mirror brings view closer than the other and in the end I need more time to adjust to correct trajectory when im driving in revers and especially when I drive in the dark time. I am recomending this car as secound familly car. for me it is golden middle for monay and quality.
Congratulations to yours! It is good and I like the way it feels. The best thing, always, is that it suits your driving pattern. As a second car for shorter trips it surely is great. Thanks for watching 🙏
I own this specific model and now +4300km behind. I can say in real life in city/suburb area and nice weather, if you drive some how economically you can EV drive quite easily 100km, without charging or consuming gasoline. My average average consumption is now some where 15,4kWh/100 km whole time and can go low as 13kWh/100 km back and forth to the city (40-50km and speed limits 30-100km/h). I think that 85km is doable in 80-100km/h road in these conditions if driving nicely. In Finnish winter this is different story of course.
@@jussia9658 This one of these cars that I find pleasent in many ways. A little outside the Box but still inside the box, if you know what I mean. And I can imagine this numbers regarding the consumption. Thanks, and thanks for watching 🙏
I really like this car. But the engine, they've chosen as a generator seems uneconomical. Are there really no engines, better suited, power vs weight ratio?
@@carstenhansen5757 Might be a little thirsty but thats due to that it needs to work extra hard for the battery to get recharged when at low level. But the best thing is that you get the electric drive all the time, but at the same time, does a smaller engine that might play along with the battery be better? That is something that needs to be reviewed. But I still like this layout. Thanks for watching! 🙏
@@carstenhansen5757 if you have to rely on the gas engine so much that its fuel consumption matters, this is not the right car for you. It's a car for people who either drive very little long distance (and can charge at home) or have a second car for most long distances. I don't think there's much in terms of better power/weight or power/volume or power/cost. I'm driving the pure electric older brother and it's perfect for my driving profile, but wohld be a nightmare on long distance.
Greetings from Australia. Love your review you have really captured to my eyes what this car is all about. Personally I do love a car to have some character like an Alfa Romeo use to have . I love the technology and the character of this MX30. It would be the perfect car for me sadly Mazda no longer sell the MX30 and we never saw this version 😢
Thank you so much! It has character and a little different plug in solution, but works real good. Sorry to hear that. Hope you can get another charming car soon. All the best and thanks for watching 🙏
My daughter has just got one of these driving from Durham county Durham to Scotland check oil warning light came on the car has only 1400 miles on it ,it cost her £29 for 1ltr of 0/20 oil at a motorway service station how Mazda can class this as a green car I haven't a clue Saudi Arabia would have difficulty keeping this in oil 😂
@@whatcarwhattime This car is very thirsty for oil in the first year. Mazda said that the consumption will drop after the 1 year burn in period. Because of the extra oil burn Mazda gives you a spare 1L with the car and will offer free oil top ups in the first year. At 5000km I'm after my 3rd oil topup.
The design of the small 830cc Rotary Generator Powerplant includes a higher than normal use of engine oil. 1 litre of oil for over a 1400 miles is normal, considering the vehicle isn’t designed for the rotary generator to be in constant use. It’s true function is as a Range Extender - you’ll need to plug this vehicle in every day or two and run it mostly on electricity.

@@DizzerJoz That's why I said, "the engine they've chosen". Should have gone with a more reliable, more fuel efficient engine.
