Can I just say, as an Australian, I am so fucking happy that Psycroptic are getting a lot more exposure around the world. They've been around for ages and I don't feel like they ever got the renown they deserved.
They are awesome. Beneath The Massacre (also a Canadian band and friends of Archspire) are also freaking brutal and very very technical. Then there’s Ophidian I, First Fragment, Cytotoxin, I would add Rings of 🪐 but they let the singer Ian go and tried to do an instrumental thing which freaking sucks in my opinion. Albums they have done in the past like Gidim are extremely freaking brutal and Technical as fuct. Still have respect for them as musicians as they are all very talented.
@@johangericke1492especially Origin. Seen them 7 times live from 2001-2017 and they are so damn good live plus they play there material faster than the studio produced recordings which is amazing. John Longstreth there drummer is also a freaking inhuman drummer that shows absolutely no fatigue during live performances. He looks like he is bored back there playing. He has also played in Dying Fetus, Hate Eternal, Skinless, etc. One show I saw is when he was playing in Skinless then after playing there set live he then did his Origin live set which is insane. His double bass heel-toe technique is damn near flawless live with no breakups in timing like you can hear so many bands drummers do live which is understandable because no musician is perfect. Plus John is the one of the main drummers to bring singlehanded gravity snare blast beats to the tech death metal limelight.
@@yungplague5534 whitechapel ended up being pretty great anyway, they played some of their old stuff after the valley (bleh) which made up for it for me. I aint even mad
Lucky to have seen them 3 times, I live on the island next to their hometown and try to see them whenever they come through. One of the greatest Techdeath bands of all time.
Archspire are coming to Japan this October so I will see them at their Osaka show. cool!!! You have seen Psycroptic from Tasmania,Australia which I haven't seen since I saw them in Osaka,Japan,November,2013. cheers
I got to sit down with Cheney and Navene from Entheos for a good 15 mins at Gothenburg and they were awesome people! IMO one of the tighter performances of the night too, and the energy they brought for the opening act when only 1/3 of the crowd was there (the organizer fucked up on the website and people thought the shows started over an hour later!) was greeeeeeeat. Honestly a highlight for me.
@@MikaelGranqvist oh nice. from what ive seen on youtube they are pretty damn tight live. im still yet to see them in person even tho i live on the same continent as them.
They were amazing but dear god that vocalist did not sound okay when I saw them in Gothenburg. It was like a half growl, not fully distorted, with no fullness to it, at all. Now, maybe that's just cause it's late in the tour, and I don't say that to be mean, it just genuinely distracted me greatly. That being said the rest of the band were super tight and the mix was much, much better than archspire IMO.
6:18 - 'yo give it up for dean lamb' *proceeds to point to Tobi while he's taking his solo*
god i love this band.
Does the same thing with Dean after haha
We need more Oli cooking videos too.
Dean got the last laugh by fucking up the solo. Now it's Tobi's fault.
make a coffe with Ola with those guys man, all musicians in this band are something else
They are also reaally chill dudes to talk to!

So underrated!
Years ago someone gave me some burned CDs and among them, the best was Psycroptic
If metal turns into an olympic event, Archspire will probably win all the gold medals
First fragment will give them the reach around

That headstock conversation 🤣
Lmao
Psycroptic and Archspire playing together, looks like a sick show.
the show was fucking sick
I'm pissed they're with Whitechapel here in the states, would've rather had psycroptic 1000x over but ah well. I'm going to see em tomorrow

Do they come to the island ever? Only recently started listening to them and I never see big bands advertised here lol
@@CynicalSphere they used to, ive seen them at the cambie twice and the globe once, Nanaimo BC. Also ventured to Funkys in Van to see them once.
I’m so happy you like Archspire!
5:13 The Eye of Ola. May it watch over us and keep us safe.
I love that they did the intro bit for archspire on every show haha
Beer in a glass mug in a metal show in 2023? You Swedish are great xD
I love Dean’s warmups @ 4:38
Same
Archspire (and the other bands) where great! This was my first time seeing them live, and I really hope they come back to Sweden again.

The bassman’s just like, “What am i even doing here?” 😂
Poor bassist was not only ignored but also called bald! hahaha ;) Good stuff. Glad to see some canucks enjoying your hospitality.
Hi hello from France 🙋🏻♂️🇫🇷 !! Have all an amazing day !! 😁
Love behind the scenes stuff. Always interesting and cool 🤘🤘🤘
It was cool to meet you briefly. I'm glad you enjoyed the show!
That’s going to be an awesome concert!
Looked like a super fun show
That's a killer lineup.
Nothing brings it like Archspire does
Going to see them again tomorrow. I’m going (again) for entheos, but staying for the headliners.
Coffee with dean?

I will never forgive you Ola for cutting off the 'ting' at 6:50

Very awesome! I've always wondered, how did you initially learn American/English because regular English is a lot different sounding, as you know.
Going to see them in l.a. very soon! Can't wait!
Archspire + Ola = ❤
Awesome
Canadian death metal band!😎🤘🤘🇨🇦🇺🇦
