I guess you might feel it a bit faster because it has more power 500hp+RWD(10-15% drivetrain loss) Vs the Audi is 450hp+4WD(25-30% drivetrain loss) but when you say “ feel” it’s odd because the M5 has no torque so you don’t really “ feel” much. I drove one , that’s what I didn’t like.

The E60 M5 is unbeatable in sound and feel. The Audi non turbo motor always felt slow.
I know many cars that are slow but sound great ;)

I don't think the Audis are straight piped they would have been louder, unless it's the poor video / sound quality

Most of the Audis weren’t straight pipes and some were turbo rs6. Muted v10
