- Hey guys, this is just a short overview of the physical appearance and basic features of the 2021 version of the RK68. I'm fairly new to making videos like this, so please excuse myself if I made any mistakes.
I really like this keyboard and hope it will last long. Shot using the Pocophone F1

Finally a video about this! Thanks for the footage of the keyboard. I think maybe having a phone tripod for like $10 off amazon would be great for stable video. You can use an app called epoccam pro that costs ~$8, and that'll allow you to use your phone as a camera on your PC, allowing for easier video editing if that's something you'll get into.
Ah, so 2021 version yung parang pastel color? Kasi dalawa binili ko. Yung isa mas bright ang color at mas ma-pandak and black usb port.
Yung pastel like ang light, mas matangkad at puti ang USB port.

I hope they update the firmware or software for this keyboard, since it the latest yet no software can be found, certain button i can't use such as printscreen, ins, pause and etc (right side of the keyboard)

I'd say RK68 because of the extra features like 2.4g mode, USB passthrough and hotswap.

is there a way to change fn button function from multimedia keys to f1 f2 f3 buttons on my rk g68 keyboard? when i press for example alt fn 4 to toggle alt f4 it opens up calculator instead of closing the page program etc.
update the software and it will automatically do what u want it to

ask lang po kung namamatay po ba talaga yung rgb pag naka wired mode pag nag afk po kasi ako ng 5mins nawawala po yung rgb lighting naka off din naman po yung switch ng wireless mode

That is not the RK68 but the RK G68 as you correctly say in the video. Perhaps it would be nice to fix the title. By the way, the RK68 is also hot swappable in more recent batches but it only has bluetooth and not wireless 2.4GHz. The other differences are that the RK G68 shows the switches, while in the RK68 there is a bezel around the keyboard that hides the space below the keycaps.
Hello Fernando, thanks for clarifying. This device specifically is known in my country as the RK68 2021 edition. Perhaps this is called different where you're located. I am from the Philippines and I bought this directly from the official supplier in China and they use the same name as I do.

i think rk68 has 2 type, there is rk855 and rk837, each type can have more than 1 version and specs but however still have the same body design. rk g68 is rk837 and it still rk68, and the one that has bezel is rk855 which is also rk68

Does the 2.4ghz work? Usually when it comes to rk its just a design. And is the switches hot swappable with different switch besides rk switch?
Yes and yes. The Switch mounting points are universal.
Been using the 2.4G since bought and I never used it wired unless its charging. Never had an issue.

There is a red LED light under the spacebar when its charging. When fully charged, it will turn off.

ako lang ba yung di tumatagal pag 2.4ghz gamit like after less than an hour di na ganun ka responsive agad kahit 3 hours naka charge

Anyone knows how to increase or decrease volume? Pressing fn + 2/3 does not increase nor decrease volume; neither does pressing fn + 7/8 which the keycaps indicated
I had the same frustration. I recommend using AutoHotKeys, and create a modified script for key combinations, there are many videos on youtube explaining how to do it. for e.g. I use alt + 2/3 for volume up/down, alt + 1 for mute etc.

Press FN + Left Control .. your keyboard will blink to active media keys .. then FN + any media keys..

How to know if the battery is full?
There is a RED led under the spacebar. It turns off when the battery is full. It takes about 5 hours to fully charge it.

yes
Mechanical keyboard keyCAPS are almost always switchable. Only exception is for logitech's romer g switches. Otherwise, all keyboards have what most call a "cherry style stem" that looks like a plus sign.
are these gateron hotswap?
The keycaps included are RK branded, but it is gateron compatible as I have swapped the included RK browns to Gateron milky yellows

Five Keyboards purchased from RK, all 5 either failed immediately-froze or had to be reset(2) came missing parts(3) ceased working after less than 1 day(2) ceased working after less than 1 week (2). To top it off, all of them came with non functional keys due to bent pins in the switches. Do Not Buy These! Royal Kludge is a shoddy build family of boards commonly missing parts or shipped with bent pins. I’ve received multiple devices that have had multiple types of switches as well.
I've had 3 of theirs. All of which are still working as if brand new. Some I even modded and repainted. Their customer service also replies pretty fast.
@@RetroDaddyPH That’s a nice, I just disputed my credit card charges with them because they sent me garbage. I made sure to document the breakdown on multiple keyboards so that I could do a video on them after having to devote over 20 hours of my life to getting a refund for damaged or non functional equipment. I needed to document for my credit card company that the equipment was defective. I had no luck with customer service, they tried to insinuate that I must’ve damaged the boards after I received them🤣 They tried to argue that I must have bent the pins on the switches & that’s why those keys didn’t work. That is why I documented the next 3 keyboards I ordered. From receiving them from Amazon to opening and testing. Life’s tough enough when I don’t have to worry about the pandemic....forget about getting scammed with shoddy work.

Im curious what the usb ports are for? And if comparing to the rk71, which would be better?
It's for USB passthrough. If you are on wired mode, you can plug other things there like a flash drive or a wireless mouse dongle or anything that uses a USB port, basically.

@@SaurriDienara the small receiver is for the 2.4ghz connection. Much better and less delay than bluetooth
@@SaurriDienara The receiver is for 2.4G which a different connection from bluetooth. Basically, this device has 3 modes.
