    I've made a lot of cakes and most of them come out great. BUT, this is THEE BEST cake I have EVAH made. I was so proud of it. It was the first cake I ever made that did NOT start with sugar and butter. Unfortunately, I made it the night before my meeting so the crunchy top got soft. It was still the best.
    After I panned this cake batter, I started the baking process in a cold oven. The crumb came out fluffy and moist, the berries were tangy but sweet. The cake rose really big. My volunteer crafts group didn't finish it all but they panicked when I told them I was taking it home to give to some neighbors. They rushed to the table to get another slice. The neighbors didn't get any this time.

    I tried this recipe yesterday and used a bundt pan in place of a deep baking tray. I had it in the oven for an hour and a half and the texture came out more bread pudding-like. Even tho the hubs enjoyed it, I think I would try using half the amount of frozen blueberries in hopes for a more cake like texture next time I make this.

      Hi there! You may need to bake it at a lower temp and for longer if you’re using a bundt pan as the batter will be much deeper in that type of pan. If it’s baked in a 13x9 though, it does have a cake texture.

    Hi Kara Jane, so i tried this recipe and found at 350 degrees, 55 min it wasn't nearly cooked. I put a an oven Thermometer in and my oven is pretty close if not right on to 350 degrees. I just kept cooking it and testing it and eventually baked. Didn't time it but it was at least 30 more minutes. What do you think happened? Glass dish by the way.

      Same… came to the comments to see if it was just me. I just put it back into the oven. Hopefully it will turn out ok. Looks good so far. :-)

    Can this recipe work if I am using a gf flour.

      I’m not totally sure it would work…I don’t bake a lot with gf flour but if you want to try it out, I’d probably try the Bobs Red Mill cup for cup gf flour or some other cup for cup flour. I’ve had pretty good luck with bobs red mill but I haven’t tried it on this specific recipe though.

    So i made this and followed the directions. Had to bake it even longer. The consistency was not cake like in some parts...more like cooked dough!!!😭 Wondering where i went wrong?...🤔

      Hmmm...I'm not sure why it didn't turn out. There are many factors that could have happened. Maybe there were some ingredients that were measured wrong, or it may have been mixed a bit too long. Sometimes mixing cake batter too long will make the cake sort of gummy. Ovens are different as well so I'm wondering if just didn't get baked all the way through? I'm just not sure.

    Did not like, dough was so hard that couldn't mix berries in, they smashed some, even they were frozen. Too sweet. Had to put back in oven after hour baking, because still looked raw. I don't believe everything in the recipe was correct.
