The railroad has a very modern car roster, but I noticed that few cars have reflective stripes and not many boxcars/reefers have graffiti. Does the railroad exist in a specific time period, or as a club is the year modeled somewhat indefinite? Are the cars/locos owned by the club or the members? My first viewing - impressive club, smooth operations, well done signalling and lots of detail. As the Navy would say, "Well Done".
Hi! Its a little mix of everything. The layout itself was modeled for the 50's-60's era. The club's equipment(engines and rolling stock) is entirely from that era, however, not all of our members model that era. The clubs equipment is used for our monthly ops session, but the rest of the time our members run their personal collection so yes you will see a mix. Almost all of the engines and rolling stock you see in the videos belong to a club member using his personal equipment because he's the one producing our youtube videos and he also has prior experience in video production. We tried recording an actual ops session but the time it takes to film is way too many hours to keep our members captive to do all of it. Our main video guy spends anywhere from 8 - 12 hours filming and another 6-8 hours editing it all together.
