I've been using the 54" HD snowblower on my 2025R for the past 3 seasons, and it's made clearing my 700' driveway a breeze. So easy to use that I was able to sell off my SuperDuty with a plow attachment and rely solely on this setup.
I have been. Been researching really hard the set up I want. Looks like your set up is close to what I am looking at. I’d like to see more reasons as to why this snowblower is better then the other? I’ll be doing a handful of driveways with my property being the main one. Is there a significant piece difference between both units? Finally would love to see some of the rear blade in action. I think you said you will be putting a camera at the rear. Look forward to it.
I've got the 1983 version of that blower. Many different versions of installation over the years. Don't see any changers at all to the blower its self (except mine is JD yellow). Like your mount better then mine set up. We live in the U.P. of Michigan (lots of snow) we have a 300 + ft of driveway plus approx. 20'x80' "parking area. Due mostly to our hill I have LOTS weight hanging off the back. The blower is a real beast. It has never let me down in the twenty + years we have owned it. Now you just need to do the 240 degree chute mod.
I have the 47" and used it to clear about 5 driveways up at the cabin. Works awesome. I and my dealership, since I am the first one they've sold, didn't know about the adjustable flow valve. Mine goes up fast and down real slow and loads up the engine. Now I can't wait to try to adjust it. Thanks for the information
No problem. Took me a few minutes to figure it out at first too but the way it was loading the pump I know it was a restriction somewhere. And when it comes to restriction in hydraulic systems they generate a lot of heat. So I just started looking for what was getting hot.
Did you ever make a video of installing & removal? I just received mine today the 54” hd for my 2025r would love to see more install and removal videos. Thanks man appreciate your info
No, I was going to make a full installation video but when I was doing the install I was super busy and I only worked on it 30-45min at a time late at night.
I have that exact same snow blower on my 322. Everyone refers to those as the refrigerator 47. They weigh about the same as one but will chew up and blow just about anything you put in it. I think you will be very happy with that setup.
this blower is the one they put on there commercial unit i think it's 1485 john deere unit. I used one at my job at a school district was a good blower
You have any issues with the wingnut on the bolt that secures the snowblower to the A Frame coming off? Happened to me 1 Day after I got it. Thinking someone forgot the cotter pin.
@@masterofeverything6468 I guess that is a heads-up thing to check. It is the only thing holding the blower to the 3 point. Probably the cotter pin wasn't installed. I was lucky and found all the parts. We had wind last night so more blowing to do today.
Is that front 3 point hitch arms fixed distance? Or do they move around like the rear? I'm wanting to put rear 3 point items on the front? Would a quick hitch fit on the front? If you can let me know that would be great. Looking to buy a 1025R but really don't want the loader but want to put just a small bucket on the front for hauling land scape rock. Like a WR-20 westendorf bucket
@@masterofeverything6468 Thank you for the reply. What was the cost of the 3 point ? I'm pricing a new 1025R now and thinking if I really want the loader or not.
Hey, thanks for this video. There's NOTHING about this blower install on the internet. Crazy. I just started putting together mine. Blower/chute/A-frame was easy, but mine came with zero instructions for the front PTO assembly and installing the 3 point system. Also, mine came with instructions for something called the "Push Brace Kit", and mine came with a bunch of misc electrical wires and stuff that doesn't seem to apply. Any chance you can get under your tractor and take some detailed shots of the 3 point / PTO setup? Or maybe we can chat somehow about it? I'd really appreciate it. Either way, this was already super helpful.
LOL, Ya. There wasn't even photos of videos online over a year ago then I put mine together. The "push bar" is only needed for the 1023E from what my dealer found. If you e-mail me at masterofeverythingwi@gmail.com I can send you the PDF my dealer found me for that.
Have the 54" HD on my 1025R which hasn't touched snow yet, I chose to install the JD electric actuator chute control myself. The instructions for it are less than clear and you will need to use the torch again on its bracket. Hate to admit i'm looking forward to the snow.
looked at the instructions yesterday for the electric actuator, seemed pretty self explanatory to me. Test fit the parts too everything looks good. Cant see where you needed a torch.
@@masterofeverything6468 I needed to take off a 1/4" x 3" piece from the connector bracket on the wiring harness. The hole alignment was close but the 3 pt hitch was in the way. I was glad you showed how to alter the brush guard bracket to fit as I prefer it back on.
Does anyone know the JD part number for the shear bolt for the 54" HD Snowblower? It appears to be a good half inch longer than the 54/47" yellow quick hitch snowblower shear bolt. I am also the first one the dealership has sold.
you mentioned that you installed your mid mount mower with this new pto hitch how so I purchased the HD 54" and not seeing how it would work and my dealer is of no support? any help would be much appreciated
You have to remove the front pto and driveshaft. You can let the 3-point arms on but make sure they are up before driving over the deck. Pulling the front pto is simple it's only 4 bolts.
@@masterofeverything6468 I understand that but my quick hitch brackets and frame that i had to remove will not hook to new frame I noticed my front bar on the mower is different than yours its also a 2021 model mower
What an awesome video. I am really interested in the front 3-point hitch. Where did you find it? About 6 months ago, I was wondering if there was such a thing for these tiny 🚜tractors🚜 of ours
@@shane1034 Yes, We did get hit by the x-mas storms. The short answer is the "Green HD" blower is no comparison to the yellow snowblower. You should check out the videos on my Instagram where I talk about this.
Hey man just found your channel since I’m in the market for a 1025r. I was wondering the total length from the front of the Hd blower to the very back of the rear three point arms. My dealer only has the quick hitch models in stock to see. Looking to purchase one for my lawn care business.
The 1025R is only 47.2 inches wide but that not why I went with a 47in snowblower. I went with a 47in because it fits down a city sidewalk without ripping up the grass.

The front 3-point is fixed and it in narrow then the rear. if you wanted to put a bucket on it you would likely have to have it fabricated.
