Testing the limits of the New 47in Heavy Duty Snowblower on a 2017 John Deere 1025R. After a long day full of snow removal my neighbor stopped in to ask me to do his driveway. This was some wet heavy snow that set all day and froze to some nice hard pack. I was having a bit of fun trying to see how much snow the blower could handle, and how much the 1025R could. I've been using the 54" HD snowblower on my 2025R for the past 3 seasons, and it's made clearing my 700' driveway a breeze. So easy to use that I was able to sell off my SuperDuty with a plow attachment and rely solely on this setup.

Modifying your snowblower so the chute rotate 260° instead of the default 180° would really facilitate your runs. Really easy to do, just need to replace the original 2 middle sheaves on the snowblower chute rotation mechanism with double-grooved ones and rerouting the cables. I designed and 3D printed the sheaves on mine and it is still holding up after 3 winters of rigorous uses. I have shared everything on the description in the link of the video below, including the link to download the 3D files. Believe me, you won't know what your are missing until you see it in action. ua-cam.com/video/dP4hjh7xvh8/v-deo.html Cheers from Canada ❄❄❄❄🚜 ...

You just made my day!!!!!!! You actually sent me this last year and a 3D printed a set but after thinking about it, I really wanted them to be metal. I'm sure the 3D printed set would work but in the middle of a snowstorm I just don't have time for brake downs. So I wanted to have a fab shop machine a set out of aluminum this fall but couldn't find the STL files on my computer and couldn't find what video you commented on. So this is awesome! I even spent a few hours searching thingiverse but there search isn't that great. I bookmarked the link already. Monday ill give them a call and send the the STL and have the CNC me a set or two.

@ofeverything6468You will love it, the ability to throw snow backward, is just awesome. You may have to adjust the diameter of the center holes on the sheaves so you could maybe use brass bushings instead of the copper pipe couplers, that way, they will last for ever. Cheers

So I never had a NG tube, with my gastroparesis we knew I needed something long-term. Did a lot of talking with the surgeon and we decided to do a J-Tube. It is a little bit more involved surgery but with a J-Tube it cant flip. A G/J the "J" part can commonly end up working its way out of the intestines and back into the stomach. So, my surgery experience take with a grain of salt, I was severely malnourished. The surgery went well but the next 3 week it felt like I had a broken rib. I was very sore and it was hard to use your muscles on that side. It goes away in a few week and now I dont even notice the tube.

There are a few tricks I learnt over time. I'm just using the standard 1/4-20 grade 5 bolts, exactly what JD sells. The tricks are to make sure the nut is on the inside, this keeps the shank of the bolt on the shear line. The next one I don't know why it works and helps, but don't over tight the bolt. The nut is a lock nut, so no need to fully tight it, I can literally still spin the bolt. My city's DPW has the same blower and I was talking to one of the guys and they where having the same problem, I showed him who loss I keep the shear bolt and they gave it a try. I talk to the same guy the other day and the haven't broke any since.
