Oh my ... How many tries did it take for the music to line up perfectly at 4:00 with Ori escaping the Ginso Tree?? I've tried many times but it was hard... Absolutely amazing!
+HesitantTaco - haha, you can have a degree of control with the amount of time it takes to get to the top with how long you spend holding down the 'Bash' button. As long as you have a close to perfect run before you get to the last 3 lanterns, you can time the ending with Bash there. I've also played the game a lot :D
+Gareth Coker Ah yes, I suppose that makes sense! And I can tell you've played a lot, with the perfect run and timing with the Ginso Tree, and don't think I didn't miss that triple jump at 3:06 XD (But who am I to talk, I've probably replayed this game more than 8 times by now). Though some people would argue that this game does not have much replay value after completing everything, I still find myself never tiring playing it. Might I add that the music plays a huge factor in that. This soundtrack made me more attached to a game than I ever was before. I've officially fallen in love with this game, thanks to you. (where has my life gone?) So well done, Gareth Coker. Well done.
Just realized that soundtrack in "Ori and the Will of the Wisps" will most likely be even better, can't even imagine... I should keep some money both for the game and the music.
I just realized that the music playing when Naru embraces Ori in front of Kuro...is the same start to the 2017 E3 teaser trailer. VERY nice way to bring back those feelings. The part when Kuro sees the same feelings as the loss of her 3 children in Naru. Tears always hit me.
I played Ori on end December 2015 until March of 2016 (Time to clear the game for the first time) As I played along for many hours, different soundtrack pieces are so precise at each moment what you're playing at. Example: Racing lava at Mount Horu, climbing that magical Ginso tree, a huge and amazing valley of wind. All the soundtracks line up perfectly and I hail to you! I look forward to another video game you'll compose because you're truly a master!
I'm just here to tank you for making such a wonderful and magical soundtrack for this game, ori without all it's ambiance would just be a simple platform game but the world design and the soundtrack are just majestic so thank you :D
Since 2021 already played three times in both parts and will still play til the elderly...you have got incredible sense of matching the proper sounds and atmosphere to the actual visuals happened on the screen. I am the player for 25 years and Ori's games are the only ones where I was following all the credits with the end of the game - just because of the music and emotions made by it. I would like to just say - thank you.
Looks like someone liked the Music so much that they turned around their screen and liked it again :3 Edit: 7:00 GOTDAMMIT, Ive seen this scene for about 15 Times now and it gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME ;-;
Gareth, this whole soundtrack of the sequel is a masterpiece. Game OST is often way more emotional and breath taking to me than those of movies, because it reminds me of the very first time playing the game, visiting all the lovely designed locations and instantly trigger the intended mood of „ok, let‘s play it again“. Yesterday, I realized the epic music once you got the Charge Jump - same epicness as in The Will of the Wisps when the music awakes in Baurs Reach.
I love this game (especially its soundtrack) so much. No game I've played in recent memory evoked emotions the way this game and its sequel did for me. I hope Will of the Wisps isn't the last adventure we have with Ori.
To be fair, the Ginsu Tree seems to be a dividing part of the game - either it's easy or you die 200 times trying to get it. I got it on my first attempt [and still loved every second of it, btw], my dad quit the game because he couldn't get it but wouldn't let me finish it so he could continue [he got very close a couple times but didn't want to keep trying],
A beautiful soundtrack. My favourite soundtrack. This game i so precious and the music is INCREDIBLE. I did find the game difficult at times! Incredible job. I would love to be able to compose music once I start my music degree.... I need a portfolio though. Anyway, amazing work!
In september 2017 i was on holiday in indonesia. I m making a movie and there in music van Ori and the blind forest... The Sacrifice is 1 of my favorite and i must always crying.. soo beautiful 😍 thank you Gareth Coker
The game is awesome, but the music is what really makes it come alive. I often get asked what this music is from. Please keep making more epic music! I cannot wait for Will of the Wisps!
I am not sure if this is my absolute favourite soundtrack ever, but it has simply put left me speechless - as has the rest of the game. Many kudos for your - and everyone else's work on this game. Masterful work.
I was expecting the whole Soundtrack, cause for me all of it was a highlight
I've played many games in my life, but this one definitely has the best soundtrack I've ever heard.
True
First music I bought in my life. Nuff said.
I like God Of War 4 soundtrack for the old Norse and Greek feel.
It was orchestra recorded you should see the video of the making. insane
Yeah men

Doesn't it feel kind of weird, playing through the game and listening to the very music you spent hours and hours to make? :D

Dear Gareth Coker, your role on this AMAZING game is unquestionable. Without you, this game could be a bad one. Thanks for these awesome soundtracks!
Cry my eyes out everytime I hear your music plus this gameplay. An emotional masterpiece right there. Salute your work!

Dude... You're just so gifted! I admire your work so much ._.
If only my music was half as good as yours...
You really outdid yourself on this one, man.
Looks like someone liked the Music so much that they turned around their screen and liked it again :3

2:55 This scene is the highlight of the game. You dont want to know how many times I repeated it though lol.
You can feel the awesomeness of the music when its opening gives you an emotional vibe of its amazing story 👌 💗
Thank you for the creators having told a story with depth, wisdom, and alot of love
You did a great job with this game, I loved every song in it :)
Cool to see some gameplay footage from Gareth Coker!
Oh my gosh you composed this music as well? This is actually amazing. My two favorite games are Ark Survival Evolved, and Ori and the Blind Forest.
I love the water escape music so much.

you just did an amazing job!!
Dang it Gareth you make me cry every time I see the opening
Your username.... I can relate XD

So sad that I can't play this!!! I'm on PS4....
wow wow w w
Kuro must go to prison because she is a murderer
Are your songs copyright free? Or we need to get permission from the gamedeveloper company/you to use them ? :)
Peter Stewart I'm certain it's copyrighted
Ori and the Blind Forest has the best soundtrack but trivial story
Bravo at the Ginsu Tree footage. I dread to think of the amount of practice you needed to put in to hit everything right.

I just love Ori´s Soundtrack - thank you for that gorgeous, touching music!
increíble trabajo!!!
The combination of the music and facial movements in the characters make the story a masterpiece
great work and congrats with the award :)
The game is awesome, but the music is what really makes it come alive. I often get asked what this music is from. Please keep making more epic music! I cannot wait for Will of the Wisps!
A true work of art. An unparalelled, unprecedented masterpiece.
You paved the road for the classical music of tomorrow!
My grand grand grand son will definitely see your name in his classical music history book.
I am not sure if this is my absolute favourite soundtrack ever, but it has simply put left me speechless - as has the rest of the game. Many kudos for your - and everyone else's work on this game. Masterful work.
I am Not crying there something in my eye 😭
