If you really think about the conflict the characters had to go through in the game, it was all a big mis-understanding. It all started out in an accident.
Someone that could explain me please (english isn't my native languaje) What i understood Is that the big tree light killed the baby Owls, thats why kuro wanted to destroy It ??
@@senorenigma2529 the tree didn’t kill the babies on purpose. That light the tree let out was too strong and it killed the babies on accident. Kuro wanted revenge and that’s why she targetted the tree and anything made from light, aka Ori
I think there has been some inspiration of Yin and Yang in Ori and the Blind Forest. Kuro and her owlets are creatures of the darkness. Kuro (黒) means black in Japanese. The Spirit Tree is like the heart of the forest, and in and of itself like a God (the booming voice in the sky). They created the forest of Nibel and all the beings within it, even the dark side in which Kuro and her owlets live in. Now, Ori is a creature of light. Ori in the Hebrew language means 'light' and Sein in german it means "to be" is the the "light and eyes" of the Forest. But the world in which Kuro and Ori live in are separated as the light from the darkness. Thus, their worlds should never meet. The night that Ori went missing, The Spirit Tree sent their light into the forest to guide Ori back, but unfortunately the owlets were caught in the midst of it and tragically died. I don't believe this was intentional though, it can also be interpreted as part of the circle of life. Kuro, angered by the death of her owlets, set herself to get vengeance, instilling havoc and misfortune into the Forest and ultimately making it blind. Creating an imbalance in the two worlds. Ori, restores the light. But it wasn't just Ori who restores the balance. If you think about it, Ori being in a Blind Forest. Ori, a creature of light, in a world of darkness. Kuro also faces the light and sacrifices herself for her last remaining egg. An end to one life, but a beginning of another. Death and life. This can be thought of as complementary (rather than opposing) forces that interact with one another in order to live. According to this philosophy, everything has both Yin and Yang aspects (for instance, darkness cannot exist without light and vice versa).
Kuro as a female dark spirit would not be the Yang side, as it is male, hot energy, and positivity. Yin is the lighter side, white, cold, female, and negative energy (they're associated like that) to be opposite. Points for using opposite things though.
weirdalfanatic2788 you need to calm down, I say Lol to a lot of things and it doesn’t mean I am laughing, I actually love this game, and I am working on a gaming music video for it, you don’t know anything about me so do not judge me and have a good day.
It was heartbreaking to see that when kuro’s chicks died, she just wanted to be a good mom. And the same for kuro’s death it was the same, from the light.
both events where not intended. Kuro's children death were not premedited because the Spirit Tree was looking for Ori and he didnt know about the owlets but he was responsable for the deaths cause he sent too much light. The final event was just a consequence of reviving the Spirit Tree therefore the cutscenes name is called The Sacrifice. Kuro did know well that she would die in restoring the spirit tree to give her egg a last chance to live. The restoring was too strong for Kuro to survive it but I repeat she knew that it would happen.
I also notice how Ori's body is small, frail, andradiant with light but is eyes are dark. Kuro on the other hand is a gigantic and intimidating owl shrouded in darkness with her glowing white eyes contrasting it. This can also be seen as part of the yin and yang as both are complementary opposites, yet share similar traits as well. While Kuro and Ori contrast one another greatly in personality, Ori being kind hearted, child-like, and forgiving while Kuro is cold, distant, and vengeful. They both care deeply for their families who suffered from circumstances beyond their control. It's that desire to protect said families that cause Kuro and Ori to clash with one another. Ori and the Blind Forest ultimately gives us a conflict in which both hero and villain fight out of a shared desire to save the people they love and avenge those lost.
13:30 That scene is amazing, not only because it is sad and shows the owl's motivation, but also because it manages to depict light and life as something haunting and dangerous~
It also depicts child loss too. But sometimes, things fall so low, that you cannot save them. And that is what happened to all of the chicks ( except Ku. )
When Naru came along and brought Ori into her arms, she realized that she is taking a child of a mother and becoming what she didn't want to be. So in order to set things right, she sacrificed herself in order for Sein to revive the forest. She also realized she still had her egg that she cared.
Also, her actions kind of backfired in the end. The remaining egg she was protecting the whole game was about to get burnt if she didn't do anything to revert the damage done It is a little ironic that she would indirectly burn the last egg just like the Light did to her children
there is an animatic from the original game with another soundtrack called Kuro attack. It shows how sad and hateful Kuro is agaisnt the spirit tree, she even destroyed part of the tree.

I played through this game a couple of years ago, and it was such a good story with beautiful artwork and music to back it up. I cried several times when I played it, but I cried even harder now when revisiting the cutscenes. They did a really good job with portraying the characters and giving you a view of both sides. Both sides are really only trying to do what's best for the ones they love. Which makes it especially painful to watch them "sabotage" each other for the sake of their own loved ones, since you can relate to both sides and their separate pains and losses.
That poor mother owl was just trying to be a good mother and protect and take care of her baby’s but the light had to kill the baby’s this mother owl was a nice owl until her baby’s died and she only had one baby left that just makes me cry she was only mean because she didn’t want the last one to die.. The light (tree) didn't kill the baby owls on purpose. He was just reaching out for ori, because he couldn't find him. The little owls were killed by accident, because they're creatures of the night and couldn't stand the bright light :(

If you see its that way then it's Naru fault too. Because she don't let Ori go back that make the tree (Ori's father) keep light up and accident kill the owlet.
Is this the definitive edition ? Because I feel either because of my pc or the version of the game, the cutscens have serious problems for example during Kuro's attack on the tree.
MarioDragon Well I'm not sure if I had the game on a previous computer or this one but, I'm very suspicious about reasons it wouldn't work properly... Like make a game that works then mess it up to resell it... I don't know. For a game like this few little things can ruin enjoyement in my taste.

MarioDragon Well there's always troubles with these things, it's complicated. I can't find the native settings of my screen which may not be adapted to the 3 years old supermarket computer I have that had Windows8.1 and had to update to 10... while steam does say it requires 7. My screen is old standard which means not large and may not fit this computer. Had it on resale for a modest price as I didnn't plan to spend millions on all the stuff I have yet so I knew as the supermarket salesman said that this computer might be limited to "just ok" to enjoy nowadays games. Had it in 2013.
Игра хорошая я и мой брат её почти прошли но на начале я росплакалась и начала игры и конец плачевни лиш по моему незнаю как остальным. Я думала что его скажем отец умер но нет в конце игры после вулкана он был жив и я обрадовалась
My theory is that the light emitted from the tree isn't just light, it's ultraviolet radiation, which is incredibly damaging. Kuro survived the first time because of her size, and possibly because the light was only powerful enough to reach a greater radius, but her offspring were too small to be able to withstand the powerful rays. She died at the end because she was directly exposed and the ultraviolet was blasted at full intensity.
Thanks, and sure, so long as I'm credited (I've no clue if I'm the first to come up with it but I haven't seen any mentions of it anywhere). To me it just makes sense, since ultraviolet is at the blue end of the spectrum and the light from the tree is always blue-hued.
Have you played the game? They are in the same order player sees them during the main story line, excluding story scenes from the Definitive Edition. It was an accident, the tree just wanted to find Ori but the light it emitted was harmful to the owlets. There's no good or bad in this story, that's why i love it.

❤💔
Ori has the best music of any game... EVER. Honestly nothing else even comes close, not even FF7.
