Oh my fucking god. I beat this whole fricken game borderlining 100% only lacking a few 3star fish i'll eventually gather.... and today is the day i learned you can melee the tendrils to make them go down. I used the stupid flashlight the whole game 😑
I did try to melee it early on but it didn't work, it seems you have to level up your knife and by the time you have level up your knife you already have a charm that makes tendrils go down.

IMO for beginners, the Death Sniper Rifle is the best, around 105 dmg with the Octopus charm, and super long range. One salvo of 6 shots (when upgraded to lvl 2 before fight) is sufficient to take down even the hardest boss (Great White Shark Klaus) from a totally safe faraway distance. The random instant kill on non-boss saves time and ammo, while it pierces for extra fish that is caught in the line of fire. 3-star fish is just more ingredients yield than a 2-star and then to a 1-star fish, yes you will build a better fish farm in the long run, but for beginners that wants a more relaxing game, I recommend the Death Sniper Rifle. Note: The seaweed biome at 9:45 is a rare spawn, took me many dives to find it.
the tranq gas bomb launcher works on stingrays also. It's just that you have to keep a certain distance between you and the fish, the gas from the launcher has to be properly clouding the fish.
Yes, this is why they are my top 2. Death Rifle is on the list because it is the best (in my opinion) Bossing weapon. Tranq gas launcher is only on the list as it is one of the standard tranq weapons which can be unlocked and used earlier than the Modified Hush Dart. Once a player unlocks the Modified Hush Dart there is no need for this weapon.
Is there a reason why you'd want to us a gun that kills the fish/sharks vs. using the net gun/tranq options? My first upgrade was to the Tranq sniper. I like it but man it seems like the small tranq gun has more ammo and basically does the same thing based on what you just showed.
A gun that kills fish/sharks is only really useful against boss fights in my opinion. A lot of them you won't know when they are coming, however the ones at night with vortexes are a good time to bring the damage gun. The Hush dart only gets good in the late game when you unlock the final set of weapon upgrades, until that point the Tranq sniper is definitely better as the hush dart can't tranq sharks until it's fully upgraded.
Ohh ok that is good to know. Do you know when about you get the unlock for the final upgrades as my net gun, hush dart, sniper and my normal combat rifle are all max level. TY@@Randomturtle001
@@darthartagnan4737 I do not remember exactly, I know it's very late on in the game, around the glacial area, and you also need to do a few side quests for the blacksmith in the village so they will be willing to sell materials to you.

you can melee the tendrils only if you have a level 3 dive-knife

Hi! How do I unlock weapon (Underwater Rifle III)? I have underwater rifle II but can’t upgrade further despite no padlock icon on it
I'm unsure, if you can see it in the menu, as long as you have the materials listed it should be able to craft. I have no idea why it wouldn't.
