This is my second time replacing my screen. I followed your instructions the first time and it went great. Unfortunately I got a bad screen which, just broke. Waiting till Sunday to get my new screen. Lol u legit saved me 700 dollars 👍🏾 thank you!

Please i do have a problem with my Macbook Pro M1 CHip , Screen broken and when try to replace with a new screen the laptop keep rebooting, now the technician said i need to reload the MacBook book but i don't want to lost my files. any solution i can try ?

Great video, Thank you so much I dropped my laptop two days ago and got scared that I will have to pay Apple $500+ for screen repair. Now I just ordered a screen from Amazon for $170 and fixed it within two days. Repair only took me about 45 minutes and another 10-20 minutes to clean the fan/other parts. This video saved me a couple hundred dollars thank you so much.

@@ItsBinhRepaired i disconnected the battery, reset pram and SMC and still have no luck. the error picture i get is dead battery and dead battery, i have seen pics where is shows a charger too. not sure if that means the charger port is dead but i dont think it is because when its plugged in i can get the error vs when its not plugged in i get nothing at all.

You might have gotten an incompatible screen. I keep hearing people have these issues, but I've never experienced it myself. I have a feeling people are ordering the wrong model number or year screen.

I ordered by the model number and EMC number of the laptop, but I imagine the seller could have sent me an incompatible one or their supplier sent them one. Anyways thanks for your help. Can I just loose the 6 hinge screws to realign without disconnecting the cables? Or it's fine with the misalignment?

Ever have a system no longer boot after the screen swap? I am hopeful it’s just a charge that’s needed, though I did see you use the AC adapter in your tutorial. Triple checked the battery cable, its pristine. I was sure to hold power button down extra time before the procedure to discharge the battery fully. Prior to the swap, power on, bad video, smashed screen. Now great looking screen but not power up.
Will update once I obtain the clients power adapter.

Hey so my 2020 MacBook Pro. Flickers with verticals lines when ever I open the screen. Is this the type of screen repair I would need to do? Also where would I get the parts? How would I know if it’s a display cable? I would so appreciate your help. Apple wants to charge me $700 to tighten a loose cable.
Replacing the screen will fix it. You'll need the model number, year, and color of your MacBook.

i notice that the touch bar does not light up in the end- is there something you had to do to make it light up and work after replacing the screen?
You have to sign into the account. The touch bar doesn't light up unless an account is logged in.
How do you handle stripped screws? This is my first time opening up, but one of the ribbon cable plate covers has 2 stripped screws.
I usually use this amzn.to/44fTMjx but if you use a good screwdriver set, you shouldn't be stripping the screws.
Hey man awesome tutorial I just did it and the computer works but do you know why when the computer fully turns on the brightness is really low even tho the brightness bar is all the way up?
Sounds like the light sensor in yours is faulty. You can disable auto brightness to fix it, but better to exchange

Hi, thanks for the video. I have a 2020 Macbook Pro Retina and I have just purchased a new screen for it, but the fitting shop I spoke to have said that after fitting this new screen the camera and backlight won't work and can only be successfully replaced by an apple repair centre. Is this true?

However the shop I spoke with can't replace it, as they say only Apple can replace it as serial numbers from the old screen need inputed to the mac once new screen is fitted. They won't replace it as they cannot do that, and state only apple can do this, to ensure the camera and backlight will work. So was interested to see if your camera and backlight works lol.
Because it's pointless doing a DIY screen replacement if I cannot get my camera and backlight to work.

Hi. Thanks for the video. I managed to replace the screen. Now I'm facing a bizarre issue. The screen turns on, then shows the display but while loading up it freezes and restarts. Later it showed me a pink screen before restarting.

Very good Video However...Loctite threadlockers are primarily designed to prevent fasteners from leaking or loosening from vibration. The difference between red and blue threadlocker is a matter of strength and removability. Loctite threadlocker blue is designed to easily be replaceable with common tools, whereas red is a more permanent fix.
There are multiple types of red loctite threadlocker. I've never had an issue removing it.
I felt so confident doing this with your great instructions. I had success the first time and the screen looked and worked great. However, there was a clicking sound when I would open the screen so I took the back off again and followed the whole process and realized the antenna board didn't click into place properly. I clicked it in, put everything back in like before and now it won't turn on and the trackpad doesn't click. You mentioned this in the video but I'm not sure what I did wrong or how to fix it. Any ideas?
Did you do the whole battery power drain part when disassembling the second time? That's very important.

My macbook pro screen just broke last week. I just got the new screen today. But the power is still on. I don't know how to turn the power off on the macbook since the touch ID button is not turning it off.
I don't want to open up the computer with the power still on. I'm trying to look up an alternate way to turn the power off since the screen is too broken to see anything. Any suggestions?

@@ItsBinhRepaired When i reset the PRAM/NVRAM memory the brightness is great but every time i log in my session the brightness is divided by half
Turn off auto brightness in the settings and then use the keyboard keys to set it higher

will cold cause the display panel to break? it's the only thing i can think of. this is the third time having to replace the display panel on my 2020 macbook pro. i had paid a guy to do it the first two times. the first time he tried to tell me there was a crack on the screen. the second time. he tried to say it was because i had it in a case and it put too much pressure.

Hi i got my macbook pro 2020 with the same model lcd replaced, and now my backlight keyboard is not working, what should I do?
Most likely the light sensor is bad. You could disable the automatic light detection so it stays on.
Where is the best place to get a new screen? Also is there a way to whip current OS and add a new one since it as no removable SSD? I have an A2289 that has a crack in the screen I got from a BestBuy auction and would like to fix it but, connected to a monitor and looks like it still has an OS on it with login. Called Apple and they said I could take it to Apple and get it repaired and Reset but gonna cost an arm and a leg. Figured I would fix and flash myself... Is this possible?
I got the screen from eBay after making sure they said it would work with my model.
The OS can only be wiped if it isn't linked to an apple id

Hi! I asked about the set to buy for screwdrivers a year ago. I’m back! I finally got the motherboard out and I only see one green spot on the BACK of the motherboard - 1633 54E. I can’t read schematics so I don’t know what it does :(. Do you have any idea another reason my screen is flickering with green lights, other than water damage to the MOTHERBOARD?

I tried forever to get the 4 little screw that hold the plastic hinge covers on back in. I couldn't get them to thread back in! I assembled it without those 4 screws and just put the clips in place before snapping on the back cover. What did I do wrong?
Some companies that sell the screens, the screw holes are too small. I think I've had that happen twice.
You can contact them and complain for a replacement, or live with it. :(

@@PaulA-ig4us they hold the plastic parts in place. I recommend removing the plastic parts so they don't shift around inside if you leave the screws out, up to you. Let the seller know though, so they know to check that in future batches.

@@ItsBinhRepaired Yeah the camera still doesn't work with the OEM screen. I have the A2159 on the A2289. I also have a A1708 and I replace with another OEM A1708 camera still doesn't work. I ran bootcamp and shows up with yellow ! for both laptop.

If you're lucky, it might be ok, but removing the battery is extremely important. There's a good chance it's dead.

Any thoughts on why a replacement screen just keeps chiming but won’t turn on? If I put the broken screen back on it works with an external monitor but the new screen only chimes repeatedly with no other activity.
You might have the wrong model information and got an incompatible screen or a faulty screen

What size bit to remove the silver color display connector ? Tried T3 and T4 both don’t work. The cover above that in black came out with a t3 perfectly
It's usually t3 or t4. Might have stripped the screws.
Doubt they are stripped. This is the first time anyone has tried to remove. But t3 is not working at all.

@@silvioiannuzzi7167 for the touch bar, you'll have to replace the whole palmrest assembly. Basically transfer the screen and everything else over to a new keyboard assembly

I changed the screen but after login the screen dims down to 1/4 of the brightness. Slider is at full light and working
Sounds like the camera sensors are bad or messed up. Might have to get a replacement. :(

@@talkwithprofessionals515 the model number and year are very important. Make sure to know the model and year of your laptop before buying the part. If you get the wrong one it can cause issues or even kill the computer.
@@ItsBinhRepaired Disaster, I messed up, battery connecter cable ( 6 pin) came out. Is it replaceable or do I have to change whole logic board.

to remove that foam heat it up just a bit
