Thanks so much - this worked great! The only thing I would add is that the 6 case screws are 3 different sizes so you'll want to remember which ones go in which hole. The top corners are the same, the bottom corners are the same and the middle 2 are the same. This video saved me a bunch of money.

@@ItsBinhRepaired Sure, I will subscribe too.
I wanted to share a small incident that occurred while I was doing it. Despite shutting Mac down, it kept turning on while I was moving the screen.
While trying to open the laptop, I accidentally touched a metal piece that turned out to be the touchbar (realized later).
It was quite hot and even gave me a slight shock ended up burning my finger a little (Mac was not connected to any power source)
I decided to unplug the battery cable and then worked without interruption.
Afterward, I realized that the touchbar was damaged (it was good before).
I plan to replace it myself, as it is not too expensive.
I am not sure if you mentioned this in your video, forgive me if you already did, but it would be good to remind people to switch off the battery cable before working on their Mac to avoid similar incidents.
I liked your video, you explained everything in detail. Thank you for that.

@marikupatadze1947 yup, starting at 2:15. Very important to disconnect the battery and hold the power button to drain power before messing with the screen. If you disconnected the screen without disconnecting the battery, you would have fried the screen and motherboard connection as well. D:

@@jubranhafeez576 the keyboard backlight uses a light sensor in the screen. If it's not working properly the light won't come on. Apple is stupid and made component dependencies that make a bunch of stuff not work when one component isn't working right...Usually people build in redundancies as a failsafe. Apple builds in dependencies to make everything break when one thing breaks...assholes

Amazon you want the precision screwdriver set. I made my own set, but that should have what you need.

I bought a precision tool kit for laptops from Amazon. It has the pentalobe 0.8 1.2 and 1.5. And none of them fit. It appears I need a 1.0. But I can’t find it anywhere. What is the proper size pentalobe for the bottom screws?
