I think the campaign for cold war was pretty underrated. I thought they did great in bringing back the "vintage" feel of previous black ops era games.
Black Ops Cold War has a special place in my heart. It still surprises me how amazing this game is since it was developed at home by Raven & Treyarch developers.
Plus this game released during one of the toughest times in modern American history, and I had COVID-19 and nearly died. This is one of the only games I played while sick at home. It got me through a lot.
Facts. Game gave life to Warzone with All the new weapons. It was such a Warzone era. Now it’s just a repeat for the kids

3:26:30 his name in the subtitles was meant to turn red before he shot you to show he’s an enemy. I don’t know why it didn’t for you but it’s one of my favourite things in the whole story seeing Adler officially become an enemy.

Eh, not sure about that, it's an alright COD campaign but there are so many better ones. It's like a 6/10 imo. Most people recognize it for what it is, not really underrated. Overall pretty forgettable.

@@eddiesix27 I’d absolutely argue MW19 has more memorable moments than Cold War. Clean house alone is one of the most memorable missions in recent years. The embassy mission, the sniping in the desert, etc.

The helicopters in this game remind me of my time in the military in Minot ND, they have some UH-1Ns leftover from Vietnam still in use there, and on a couple different occasions, we used those to get to the nuclear missile job sites as an alternative to be on scene for the changeover.
After hearing that black ops 6 is having an open world campaign, I've been re-playing older campaigns like yourself. What're they doing? I don't think anybody enjoyed the open world campaign the first time they tried it.

My two and only gripes I had with Cold War was that the campaign was too short and I wanted more Mason and Woods spotlight.

I want to play it before 6 comes out but for a 3 1/2 hour campaign and I don't play MP, $70 bucks isn't going to happen even if it is the best in the series. Enjoyed the playthrough though as always.

don't know if you seen it but mason and hudson are confirmed dead after the events of bo2 in bo6 so the canon ending is woods shooting his bestfriend on the head
