- Salutes to our #RhythmRoulette fam. We’re giving you a taste of what’s to come.
We pulled up to the one and only Amoeba Music with Y2K to dig through the crates and link up his partner in beats Zetra; their arsenal of records includes music by Elvis Presley, The Chocolate Watchband, and Doris Day.
Ari “Y2K” David Starace is no newcomer to the game. Hailing from Arizona and his family-owned record store to collaborate with artists bbno$, The Kid Laroi, JoJo, and Liam “Zetra'' Magrini (cooked up flames for Ericdoa, SoFaygo, and midwxst, to name a few).
We have an all-new season currently marinating. Keep it locked. #HipHop #DrumandBass

Song: Rhythm Roulette: Y2K ft. Zetra | Mass Appeal
Artist: Mass Appeal
I've never heard anyone say this Elvis Presley about to go crazy 😂😂😂... that's different lol
😂😅 then they couldn’t find anything worth sampling 😂
we need breakbeat n jungle producers to be on this show more often
Yeah! I'd be up for that! Mass Appeal give me a shout!! ;)
Passing up that flute was unexpected. I dig the dark vibe of the results 👍
Every time someone adds an "s" to vinyl, a kitten dies.
Well, that was refreshing!
Reminds me of some old Prodigy with the drums and sound effects.

That was actually hard af. Didn't expect that from Y2K ✊🏾🤣
Rhythm Roulette is my favorite segment on this channel
they keep saying "thats sick when it is indeed not sick
Very cool to also see abstract and out of the box sound on here 😎👍🏼
Facts!
this just sounds like hacking music from the 90s - sounds not that original
Yeah lowkey got a Nate Donmoyer sound
FL gang! Soundgoodizer for life!
Bro now I wanna hear the whole beat
Goldeneye 007 Type Beat. Different though nice one.
The first song they listened to was sampled by The Alchemist on Mac 10 Wounds.
sounded like some prodigy
Love this - one of my favourites for sure! Thanks heaps boys - you smashed it out of the park 🔥🔥🔥
I need this in a Wipeout game now. Also I need a new Wipeout game.
Sony shut the developer down, probably never gonna happen :(
Sounds like an old El-P beat. Which means I love it. Wish I could hear more.
As soon as I hear that Amen break I knew this was going to be dope 😆😆
...lol
DOPE Trap/Rock 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
that was dope sounds like some mike shinoda linking park ish
Paul Dano and Lenny Kara itz going crazy
Clean!! Ableton for the win
I was waiting for the 'vinyls' 😉
L for elvis praise but shout out to mass appeal
Zetra knows about the FL sauce
what is the fl sauce
@@vinniesauce7084 Soft clipper on the master
@@Jajeweet please no
@@drinkinouttacups2665 go watch some of t-minus' twitch streams and tell me no again
Love the series!
Still hoping we get separate logic and 6ix episodes!
I enjoyed this one.
Make a full version! This is very cool!
The fact that they expect Elvis to have great samples tells me they’re not really crate diggers. Outside of a couple single drum hits I wouldn’t expect any gold from that record.
Please bring back some actual crate diggers on the show
Cry me a river. They fuc**d most of your "crate diggers" beats with that one.
keep practicing. you will be able to flip any record if you keep practicing.
@@johne.reptile6305 you don't understand what dude is talking about.
Meh..
what is the fl sauce?
That opening song is trash. I got a feeling in gonna regret watching this
Crazy beat!! 🔥
They didn't play enough of the beat at the end smh. I wanted to hear that switch up in the final version.
that first sample is MAC 10 WOUNDS
A cool series to see after genuis deconstructed. I wanted something like this.
Sounds like something that would be in a Bourne movie!
hella abstract n heavy, wheres the projekt like this?
SOUNDCLOUD TAKING OVER
Everyone does Rhythm Roulette in this studio.
Wow, this was one of my favourites thus far. Super interesting and dope! 🔥🔥
Naw
Hard af
hey this is hype
Would love a daily bread episode
That was amazing.
I LOVE ZETRA!!!!
We need Vanderslice on the next rhythm roulette 🔥🔥🔥🤫😴🤯🤯🤯
Dayymmnn I wanna do one
Me 2 dude!!
@@lassorb4752 yeah me too !!!
This sound like some golden 👁️ 007 Nintendo 64 vibr
Y2KKKKKKKKK 🗣
“Elvis is hard.” Ehh. Indeed, I guess.
💎
they made an industrial song lol
First time I've heard soundgoodizer mentioned on one of these.
I feel seen. 😶
Nope.
Were these filmed in 2020 or are they still making people wear masks in LA?!
nice👍🏻
Shout out to Steve Harrington.
Funny bc Hi Tek said Elivs gets no love when he was on RR.😂
i love zetra
So his mother owned a record store and he still calls them 'vinyls'? Expected heat from Elvis? Looks and sounds like a nerd but nerds are supposed to be smart.
I call them vinyls too. What is your point?
@@HowardKarpfendale My point is you're dumb.
@@ericright4689 You are such a sweet kid.
Yo anybody know what kinda monitors he's usin? They sound so nice!
There are two pairs of monitors there. The bigger ones are ATC and the smaller ones are pro ac
@@1337murk You are Neo (the one) for this! Thanks person!
HOW WOULD YOU KNOW HOW THEY SOUND???
@@drinkinouttacups2665 Ironically, he wouldn't through a phone mic/speaker, or out of his headphones etc lol. BUT... ATC make incredible monitors, and so do pro ac. So they actually will sound incredible in person (and are so accurate to mix on), as long as its not a bad room they're set up in ofc.
I mean really it's just two bass notes a break beat and a riser
Pleasantly surprised with the Amen flip this was a dope episode, pretty tuff beat in the end! Nice work
There were other breaks that were workable. To each his own though…💯
FL4Life
Boouboo!
✌🏿😎
Um this was tough.
Hey
Unfortunately these new producers never did their homework and studied the legends in sampling is highly evident in this 🤷🏽♂️ not knocking their attempt but they need to study more imo
why? they can still make a beat with a sample without knowing the artist. it's about the music
First time I have heard mouse clicks on one of these videos different & I'm not mad about it. Just missing some soul in the process it's more mathematics than feel. Dope but
Yeah, clicking a button on a MPC has more soul. You believe yourself?
@@HowardKarpfendale prolly considering I believe em
well something different
Elvis is not tight lol I’m sorry but mass appeal is fckng dope ❤
from the intro beat i thought this was going to be wack but this ended up fire.. i wish they would play more again mixed beat at the end again but ya'll be stealing 😠
Sounds like the score from a Guy Ritchie film dope
Not my favorite but okay. Preciate the artistry though.
Beats for mumble rap.
Are you guys lovers?
These guys is very artisy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
* Cringes at “vinyls” but likes the beat.
And you call yrself a dj? Lol
What ever happened to calling them 'records'?
i aint hating bro but idk what is going on here.
we want boom bap
zetra the goat
Man, mass appeal y'all gotta do better. This ain't it
Not for me … no ableton no point lol
mid
terrible! Just sounds like noise
and the mouse goes click, click, click ....fruity loops...copy and paste producers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It is not fruity loops. And your machine beats would be even wack in 1987 dude.
🥱
🔥 🧯 🔥 🧯 🔥 🧯
Like, the sound quality is great and I respect the craft but...this isn't hip-hop. This like some high-tier soundtrack score, but it ain't hip-hop. Sorry, Mass Appeal. It's a miss.
...stems now makes everything sampleable
