I don't think that's the correct title. I know many people who aren't rich, they don't go for refurb iPhones because that's a risk, you might potentially trash 200 dollars on a second hand phone. They go for cheaper android phones, usually by Chinese manufacturers like the ones under BBK electronics. The only ones who go for these refurb iPhones are people who care too much about the social status even though they themselves do not fall in that social class who can afford them, so it absolutely makes sense why Lew is so intrigued by the fact that such a market exists.

Yeah, I agree. That phone is in good condition, and it's a fine phone. You're not going to do better getting a new phone for $200, and it's also a great phone for a kid.
It’s actually amazing man, I got a 11 PM in 99.8% physical condition, 96% battery and everything works flawlessly, All that for 711$ which is amazing for back in 2020

I don't know one person that buys Used or renewed phones. Most people just get the new phone on a plan so they don't have to pay all at once or they just go for a cheaper phone. In Australia even minimum wage workers can afford the newest iPhones since the wage is so high. If you're talking about a third world country on the other hand then you cant really compare.

@@raffayasif7326 3utools is 90% good enough, other things you might want to check is display touch sensitivity(fake display is not sensitive), True Tone feature, check if it’s water damaged by looking into the sim tray for red indication, use gps, camera, buttons and switches, Touch ID n Face ID, make a phone call to check mic, speaker quality and connection...I’ve bought and return 3 Xs Max last month due to various problems and finally just decide to save up and buy a new phone...I normally request for 100% battery life and sometimes they have it.

Update 3 months later, I got the XS, iPhone 6 was on its last legs. The phone is still very new looking never been dropped but it just became slow af lol, switching apps causes Spotify to glitch and the music stops a little it’s like using a computer with 2 GB RAM. Yeah...No. Most normal people use a prepaid plan to pay for a $1000 phone. Also $200 dollars is really cheap for a phone even by android standards. I remember buying a renewed iphone 10 which was riddled with scratches, dents and dust. NEVER AGAIN!
If you're wondering what the B stands for in the pink label, that's the rating of the condition of the phone.
A - Perfect (no scratches, no dents, etc.)
B - Good (little scratches, maybe 1 small dent, etc.)
C - Ok (multiple scratches, multiple dents, etc.)

The phone is great, simple as that. Looks like he received a fantastic unit that would be fine for anyone to use. It is madness to spend a thousand bucks for a phone.

The price is relative to the hardware, quality, release and engineering that goes into the device. The iPhone 13 Pro Max cost $1100 because its basically the top of the line smartphone right now. 10 hour screen on time and 3 great 4k cameras. Of course its expensive but its not mad unless it wasn't worth the price. Same goes for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

It could be worth the price if I was the real owner of the thing! They will brick it within a 5-6y life span with their software tricks. Always pretending that the device can't keep up with today's technology. The fact is that they intentionally downgrade the previous generation in every iteration of iOS and then argue it's not reliable and they stop supporting it to sell you a brand new device. And here we are, fools, buying a brand new device every other year to satisfy our own emptiness 😑

Like a new phone for $400 is better in many ways than a used like s10 for like $400, better battery, larger screen, longer support time etc, why go old and uncertain when you can go new and certain? But i did have a iphone 4s for like 7 years, so im kinda done with old phones and are willing to spend some to uphold that, i guess.

I do think tech reviewers get de-sensitised to reviewing products on a regular basis, especially high end expensive stuff. They don't bat an eyelid to it. They become almost snobs to us mere mortals who have a limited budget to buy stuff with.
When they do a review like above, they're shocked and surprised that - yes - you can indeed buy a perfectly good refurbished device at an affordable price, and it works!
I've bought numerous laptops, phones and desktop PCs over the years that were refurbs, and the specs are super at a discounted price. My machines have always looked pristine bar some microscopic scratches that you'd never notice, but otherwise works like a brand new machine. I've never been happier with them.
But I do think there's an essence of snobbery from tech reviewers who are so used to reviewing Megabucks tech, that they forget that cheaper or older models are just as acceptable for the average person out there.
Don't be like Lew. Be yourself and stick within your budget xx 🙂

So I bought this exact phone from a seller through Walmart for about the same price and my reasoning was this: I didn’t have dslr camera money and honestly spending money on just a webcam seemed absurd. So for 200 bucks my stream got a lot better and with EpocCam and fast internet I’m completely wireless and I have added functionality. For me this was a smart move!
What’s name “renewed” for? That’s straight forward 2nd hand item!
Even worse, probs had a hardware issue fixed like a broken screen or a battery.
Lmao when the phone turned off when he was setting up his sim he tapped the screen to turn it on 😂

A iPhone for 179$ people still prefer over android.. 😂 that’s why it’s best seller. There’s really no reason the wonder why Apple is #1.
iPhones last longer than Androids. All of the Androids I've owned have fallen drastically after a year of use and don't even get any software support after 2 or 3 years. I jumped ship last year and got a refurbished iPhone 7 (almost 5 years old now) and i was genuinely shocked at how good it was, even after all that use.
@@FlyingPigChannel in Android World one must choose wisely. OnePlus device software update last 3+ years while most brand will only support for 1 year only which is sad.
@@yowaimo6196 I own a 7t and yet to receive Android 11. I don't care tho, everything works just fine and I'd rather have that than a rushed update full of bugs and instability. I think more likely than not my next device will be an iPhone (never owned one), since OnePlus is now in the shitty phones business, while Pixels are not flagship-focused anymore.
Although I'll hopefully use my 7t for 3 more years.

this dude really acting bad and bougie.. 😂, I guess for him the higher up he's gotten monetarily wise , he really lost touch.. the phone is literally just 4yrs old.. he's acting as if it's a fucking dinosaur fossil he's holding or somthing.
The issue with this video is, a lot of these phones are great when you first get them. But after a few months of use they slow down or start acting up.
I bought my first iPhone 7 in about September last year. It was refurbished and it literally ran like brand new. My experience with used phones are pretty good.
