19:57 '39 fnkmg'. Tracks like this just further proof the unending creative genius of Aphex Twin. This is just a track on Soundcloud, not on an official release, it's now on unofficial collection, and yet this is beyond what almost any other electronic musician will ever put together. Absolutely unique sounds. The master.
If you haven't listened to it already, check out his Ambient Volume 1 and 2 compilations. some of his best and most original selected works. It goes back to his golden years of electronic music from the 90's. Some of the tracks especially from Volume 2 are pure sonic genius!!!!
The world is indeed one messed up place. People should be shouting from the rooftops about this. New Aphex Twin ambient works, and all free! Thank you, Richard.
Steven Ellis I kinda like hardcore Aphex fans staying a relatively small group of people, it feels like we have him all to ourselves. Plus you can show this shit to your friends and blow their minds.
dont you mean at last or I now understand the end or my hat needs replacing or im 90 and everyone I ever knew family, friend or foe is dead now and i can remember my dreams but n o t y ester da y
Honest to god I never even thought his Soundcloud had much stuff on it. This is amazing!! Some1 had the decency to upload this...even Vol 3/5 & 6. Great decision by Richard if i must say so
Just a friendly tip....lots of the *most* phenomenal music that one is likely to hear these days can only be found on sites such as SoundCloud, and my beloved BandCamp. These days, those are the places you go off-road to hear the really crazy shit. ;)
@36:28 (watery big ez) Imagine coming to the end of your life, you're up hovering above your funeral and the clouds part and this song comes playing down, quiet at first getting louder - level up end of life what an experience next up APHEX COLLAPSE "The simulation has ended Ms. Green, how did you like the new childbirth scenario? Simon here, has been working some new tree voxels... "
I love how in "7 Lush Slow Blips" he makes a chilled song, but seems to intentionally antagonize the listener by throwing in abrupt loud noises to disrupt the song
It takes the "its making me....." out of the swagger upon the utmost soothing sound structures. Many patterns exuberant in all aspects fruitfulness kind of a lot
Back again to exclaim that 1:13:24 'taut tense tune' is another marvel that proves RDJ is a sonic being on an entirely different level. He makes me feel inadequate as a musician! (but, also inspired to do better, try more things, discover more new sounds and melodies).
I had the strange feeling just now that I was listening already for an hour and a half or so to this immersive compil, but when I checked the magic was merely 16 minutes underway and that baffles me, and just to be clear it's not this dope or another that gives me this related known elongation of time effect.
This might be an effect of a derealisation experience, derealisation can happen under the influence of drugs, as a symptom of psychological issues for example in schizotypical personality disorder, or just when vibes are really outworldly and you feel like things around you arent real anymore :D
@@silvercramp6052 Yes, spot on (!), indeed, I do also, beside those “selfish” ones, need my meds. He sure made up for not releasing anything in SO long. His unreleased stuff destroys so much garbage music nowadays. Plus a lotta this isn't even new...just new to us. Aphex Twin is the God.
About garbage music - indeed, Bleep is full of meaningless pretentious shit. Randomly picked some releases and got sick for the rest of the day, unable to listen to anything at all. “Got modular-release on Vinyl”. Love RDJ.
I'm listening to this whilst enjoying an alcoholic beverage and engaging my best mate in a 5-year long email debate about religion, life, the universe & everything. It's a rather compelling & complimentary combination.
This fan made compilation album consisting only unreleased tracks Richard probably never thought something off sounds better than 99 percent of modern electronic music records.
Pssst...it lives on just as you remember it over on the Internet Archive. However, it you don't wanna mess with that, every file that James has ever dumped onto SoundCloud can be easily found right here on UA-cam.
Like Thomas Edison said, "Genius is 10% inspiration and 90% inspiration. If you read about RDJ's early life, obsessive nature, academic pursuits, and his working process, it basically suggests that Edison hit that nail on the head with a golden hammer. RDJ has an extraordinaly beautiful mind and he's frighteningly intelligent, but it's that nose-to-the-grindstone work ethic that allows him to use his gifts to create otherwordly, inimitable music.
Serious question. Who the heck down-votes stuff like this on youtube? Sure, anyone can say whatever they want and youtube gives us the ability to click thumbs up or thumbs down, but this really bugs me. I just stumbled across Aphex Twin and have been listing to his ambient work regularly for the past few months. If I didn't like him, I would have just listened for a bit and not tuned in anymore. I would not register a down vote. His work is here for free, if you don't like it then put on another video or pay for something you do like. Am I not understanding something? Do some of the down votes come from people who are serious enthusiasts who know much more about the music than I ever will so they feel that this is not among his better work? I don't get it. Can someone enlighten me?

Takes me back to when I first heard AFX back in 92' through the great John orange peel, still keeping it real. Rest in peace my true music friend.

Great compilation. Has more of his interesting melodic "whirly" tunes you can't help but love.
正確なリズムの把握、和声感の豊かさ。この和声の豊かさがその儘、旋律の動機とか、そのまま製作の創作意欲に繋がっているのかもしれない。作品の中で冒険、旅しているのかもしれない。

Genuine genius. Just imagine all the quality stuff he has not yet released. Literally we don't even know if he has released some of his "best" work
