  • Well it can only get better from here. Thank you for indulging me as I get back into motovlogging shape! Had to work through my setup again and get things tuned for coming content. It was a great day outside so I thought why not try to do a motovlog...ehem...sort of a motovlog. Enjoy my pain :)

She sounds sporty with those aftermarket exhausts. I went back to the originals because I often come across horse riders on the road and don't wish to scare them. I also prefer the fat ass 4 exit look.

I'm torn on the whole topic a bit. On one hand, the dual exhaust is so iconic to this bike...but I just couldn't get past how cramped the make my feet and how in the way of the chain they were..not to mention limitations on rear spools etc. I really never had an issue with their sound and in fact I thought they sounded pretty good for stock exhaust. Once I went down the rabbit hole though of a full exhaust there really wasn't any turning back. Admittedly I wanted loud pipes (within reason) and I was not disappointed by the decision. I can fully appreciate your reasons though and that's cool 85waspnest.

@@rickybobby6760 I agree, it looks like having a garbage can strapped on the side. Apparently it's to satisfy Euro 5 emissions regs. The new ZH 2 is even bigger and uglier.

@@StormtrooperRides Got to agree with you about the lack of chain access which was so much easier with the stubby carbons. You're right about the lack of access to the rear spools. What I use to lift the rear end now is a paddock stand with L shaped rubber covered fittings under the rear of the swinging arm....plus great care when lifting !!! A great device for chain lubing is a wheel roller stand.
Another reason I removed them is they caused a slight on/off fuelling issue on a steady throttle at 25 - 30 mph. I didn't want to go to the expense of a re map.
I don't have a problem with being cramped even wearing UK size 11 boots. Neither do I have the same problem you once mentioned about knocking the bike into gear and lurching when putting the side stand down. This could be because I'm in the habit of switching off the engine then looking for the stand protrusion.

Kawasaki's are my favorite, I've owned a lot of them. Still own my little Ninja 400 but I had to switch over to KTM for that sweet 690 Enduro R. Anyways, welcome back to motovlogging, I'm starting out with my channel. More to record some things so when I become much older, I can look back and remember.

I got the itch to ride again after a 12 year break (I'm 47). Last bike was a cruiser but had a Ninja ZX-600 in college and wanted that thrill again. Unfortunately my insurance company wanted DOUBLE the annual premium of Suzuki's 600 supersport so I ended up with a GSX-R 600 instead. Quite happy with it but I wish it had Kawi's quickshifter and those few extra ponies. But yes man, grab a supersport while you're still able. I can go for about an hour before my butt is on fire, and have to take a short break but wrists and arms are fine.

Thanks for the info Bill. Not sure that this is a "this year" kind of thing yet but who knows :) Its curious why the Ninja insurance and the GSX-R insurance would be so far off? Wonder if its just because the Ninja brand is associated with super sport bikes regardless of whether or not they're actually a Ninja? In any case, thanks for the info and for stopping by!

Don't worry about that cracked fairing just put a sticker over it, make sure you have two to match the other side, and everything will be otay 👌👍! Come visit me I'll get that itch scratched, one ride on the H2SX lol! ZX10r is a nice bike although the 14r😁😁😁

I may take you up on that offer! They had one at the dealership I just visited...I wouldn't even let myself sit on it because I knew that'd be trouble! I'll have to post pictures of the damage I did to the one fairing...I'm not sure a sticker is going to do it...but maybe.

@@StormtrooperRides Our youngest dropped his ZX14R while trying to get it off a trailer and put a hole in the fairing so he got two huge stickers and covered the hole and put a sticker on the other side to make it look even...so see stickers work..lol!

That is so true Sudhanshu Singh! I think they totally lead the way and offer the best technology and value of anything I'm seeing out there right now. They actually lowered their prices across the board this year. Pretty smart of them in my opinion.

@@StormtrooperRides yup... A zx10r is the cheapest litre class superbike here in india... And the ninja 1000 ❤️ it can change its character totally depending on the riders input and again its extremely value for money here 💸 i really like your garage 🔥

Except for the insurance. All things being equal (age, sex, driving record, location, experience, msf class etc.) almost all the companies I looked at charged twice the premium for a Ninja 636 vs. GSX-R 600.

On your ninja 650 the Yoshimura exhaust a full system and does it backfire ?

StormtrooperNinja I have a 650 and I’m looking for an exhaust that pops and crackles any idea ?

    • @StormtrooperRides
      @StormtrooperRides  4 роки тому

@@strobegaming4981 what year? The Yoshi does do a little crackling and popping on deceleration but not much. I have a few videos of that exhaust and you should have a listen so you can tell me if you're looking for more than that...or even a higher pitch. The 650 is pretty deep sounding with a full system on it. You could probably take the baffle out and it would crackle and pop a little more with the extra air. Unless its running pretty rich already its not going to do much and in my experience with the Yoshi exhaust its pretty close on air/fuel.
