Hitman912, Definitely one nice 65 Galaxie. I love the shine, the color and how the wheels compliment the paint. The classic rumble of the cherry bombs is just wicked as well. What is the name of that shade of blue?

Awesome car! The sound is perfect. Do you have anything in the exhaust aside from the cherry bombs? I built a 445-ci stroker FE using Sanderson Headers. I built my own 2.5-inch dual exhaust with H-pipe and 18-inch Cherry Bombs. I love the sound but it is on the unbearable side of loud, especially for just cruising town. Yours sounds much more tolerable, volume-wise. I wouldn’t think the 445 FE and 2.5-inch exhaust would make that much of a volume difference. I am considering welding in some resonators.
Just the cherry bombs. In another comment I said 18 inchers with 2in in/out, so 2 inch pipes. They were placed right before the pipes bent to exit out the side. The longer the bomb the quieter it gets, right? And the closer to the exhaust outlet/exit the quieter?
Gotcha. Yeah, the longer the glass pack, the quieter, but I think as the pipe diameter increases, so does volume. My 2.5-in diameter, 18-inch cherry bombs (both new) are right at the exhaust tips and I swear sound nearly as loud as straight pipes, it’s ridiculous. But I love the rumble of an FE - can’t be beat!
@@thejackstandmechanic7633 uh minor tip since you've built a 445, props to you and that FE going to need more air pushed out. Look into some 3in exhaust
Parking garage doing 80% off the work LOL! love it. Nice and clean!
Those 60's era Galaxies were pretty sweet.
And always shall be
The 60's are my dream car era, just bought a 1965 galaxie 500 coupe and its amazing. The sounds, the smells, the feel of it on the road 🥵
@@mikeashawasegai7530 You only have one dream car? I could think of at least a dozen or should I say dream/fantasize I would love to own.
That son of a bitch is nice and I absolutely admire the color because my dad owned a 65 Galaxie with a 390 but was a 4 door XL in that color.
I thought cherry bombs sounded crap
Yet again, I stand corrected
Gentleman’s hot rod

It's Guardsman Blue, a Ford color from the 60s. Kind of wish I didn't sell this!
What were your suspension and wheel/tire specs? Car sits great
Would have been stock spec springs and shocks. 15x8 wheels but I forgot tire size. Series 62 wheels I think.

gorgeous car! sounds sexy too
What cherry bombs are those ? How long are they
I think 18 inch body with 2 inch inlet/outlet.
