@@ZillaBlitz I know, but some people like me prefer official content. In a previous game, 18 Wheels of Steel: Convoy, there’s one mission where the player gets to drive a car, that being a red Mustang, although it’s a one-off mission with a time limit and the car can’t be bought or driven in free roam. There are also one-off missions where the player drives a school bus, a fire engine and a box van, but again, those vehicles cannot be owned by the player.
This was a really fun drive, enjoy! In case it helps, I moved the ATS and ETS2 content to a new channel, and have a video about hidden roads in Oklahoma on that channel: ua-cam.com/video/EvsORFybY8s/v-deo.html
Great episode yet again Zilla! Seeing all the amazing sceneries in ATS I think I may be buying it soon (but will wait for the next sale haha). Only done one delivery in the past week in ETS2, guess taking some time off is needed as well! Looking forward to the next
I started ATS about a year after ETS2, and I really enjoy bouncing between the two games now. They're surprising the same and surprisingly different. And they go on sale a lot. :) Always nice to get a rest, too, for sure! :)
Nice achievement there, conquering the hidden road in Montana! All that experiences hauling logging equipment in Washington and Oregon must have paid off!
Haven't driven that road yet, went to Thompson Falls though. That was interesting, not sure I'd try it with a big trailer, you are braver than I. LOL Great video, thanks for posting. Blessings.
Thanks, and yes! That thought did cross my mind... "What happens if I turn to the right here and go off the cliff?" It's kind of like the feeling I always have at the top of cliffs in real life. "I wonder what would happen if I step off?" ... Some curiosities are best left unanswered, I imagine. ;)
Zilla Love the vids man. Definitely fun watching. Im from Wisco. I actually lived in Montana not far from thompson falls so this Montana DLC has been pretty awesome. I'm an actual real life trucker and the neat part is I've been to 2 of the real life companies that are in the DLC. I've been to the one place in Sidney Montana the one that's behind the general mills and then also the the Great Fall air base. And I've actually stayed at a couple of the real life truck stops in Bonner MT and Miles city.
Welcome, Jose! It must be really interesting to drive trucks through some of the areas in the game, and just see how they compare to real life. That must make Montana really fun for you, especially having lived there! Thanks for stopping in. :)
@@ZillaBlitz yes it was have I told you that me and my friend was on the school twitter? and one of my friend sent me a concert what parts if the school did
Can you put a mods list in your description or comments please? I know you have sisls mega pack/star wars cause of c3po but what do you use for everything else, the rain is different to the one i have (realistic rain), but the rest i have no idea so a list would be great thanks!
You're right, I really should do this. A lot of people have asked for it. I'll start doing it in new videos, as the older ones I have no way of knowing anymore. By the way, if you haven't seen the new channel with the new trucking videos on it, it's here: ua-cam.com/channels/8mg6RXd1PnlSZaFEmSsPmw.html Thanks!
hey, ive just started playing ats and i struggle with this one trailer that articulated that has another articulated piece with the cargo on it and then a smaller articulated piece at the back but nothing on it, its very long any tips on how to drive with it? i keep getting the back caught
I think the general rule that helps is: Swing Wide. And with those very long ones you really have to go straight and deep into the intersection before you start turning, otherwise the back will hit stuff. Hope that helps!
Perry! How awesome! Yes - Logitech G920, just picked it up about a month ago to replace a very old wheel. Some of the episodes in the 50s talk about upgrading to the new wheel. :)
Got a question for you. As this series continues on will there ever be a point in time where you may try like the coast to coast mod or any of these other map mods that are out there or are you just going to stick to the maps that SCS software has made for the game
Sure thing! My current thinking is... ETS2: Start a new series with ProMods installed (Episode 1), keep the existing one going but concentrate more on the new one. ATS: Explore more mods going forward, maybe even the Coast to Coast mod, with the current series. Start a new series with ProMods Canada installed (but not for a while)
@@ZillaBlitz Okay that sounds exciting. The only reason i was asking was because I feel like the game should be called west coast truck simulator, and not American truck simulator lol. It would also give you more states to do trivia ep's
Yes, I've heard mixed things about Coast to Coast, that it's awesome that you can drive to the east coast, but that the scenery is lots of copy past from what's in the game, so there really isn't much that's distinct about the cities and regions. I'd like to give it a try, though. Curious to see how it works out. I imagine they are updating it now that Montana is out.
@@ZillaBlitz well if you ever do Coast to Coast mod and you find yourself in New Orleans. Swing on by because that's where I live in real life LOL you never know I may get the trivia questions right on that one
Hi Zilla, I adore your channel and sympathy but I do not understand the criteria you follow to do your videos... You started with Snowrunner and you left it alone, halfway... Starting instead videos about wargame - ish tabletop games... May you firstly finish the series you started time ago, before starting new ones?!? May you come back with videos about the hard mode campaign at Snowrunner?!?
That hidden back road in Montana everyone is talking about is a walk in the park It's so easy it's ridiculous 🤣 I've seen better in Forza horizon I'm not impressed
SCS should allow the player to own and drive cars. Those vehicles would be better-suited for scouting and exploring the map.
There are mods that do this, which can be kind of fun. :)

Another excellent episode, with snow runner expertise coming in handy on the hidden road.
