I definitely enjoyed this video the Christmas tree and decorations are simple and obviously very thoughtful, It should be a reminder to people around the world that it's not always necessary to go out and spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to create something beautiful and memorable. Thank you.🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄⛄
First of all, David's expression (his smile) in the car right after your Christmas tree was in the car...his expression was like a little boy all smiling after picking out a tree and ready to take it home:) Dessy I love your Christmas sweater. It sparkles in the videos:). Also, I love David's idea of using the large tree slab to set your tree on and all the lovely gift wrapping you both did with your gifts! It looks so awesome in your home. Very festive and cozy. Can't wait to see the decorations:). I like your Advent idea with the gifts, too, opening one of them each day before Christmas. This year I bought a potted Norfolk Island Pine tree for our Christmas tree in our home. We have had both artificial trees and cut live trees other years. However, I am getting older and love simple decorating. Getting a potted tree allows me to have it as a potted tree and let it continue to grow. I have so many decorations that I no longer use. There are homemade ones, ones that my children made when they were in elementary school growing up and many that were given to me as gifts when I was teaching faith formation in our parish. Under our tree I set up a Nativity set which is very important to my Catholic faith. The manger bed where baby Jesus lays remains empty until Christmas Eve. Then the baby Jesus figurine is placed his manger bed on his day of his birth. All of our decorations stay up until the Feast of the Three Kings in January of the New Year. You and David will have to sing a favorite Christmas carol in one of your upcoming videos! Blessings to you both and all your farm animals this Advent season!
I love the way you have wrap your gifts. I have so many bags from the market, so I'm going to use them to wrap my gifts, decorating them as I wrap them. What a great idea, recycling made beautiful. Thank you!
I love this little tree..its beautiful. And I love the idea of planting it on your property after Christmas. You two did a great job and the presentation is gorgeous 😍
We buy ball root trees too. Water it with snow daily and plant it about Valentine's Day for the plant to succeed in transplanting. We now have 38 of them total, from each year. Love you guys, Merry Christmas. 😊
The year I gave birth to my first son I bought a cute little potted Christmas tree for my dining table. It was only about 1.5 feet tall. I decorated it with earrings and necklaces because it was so small. After Christmas my Dad helped me plant it in his backyard. Today it is so BIG. (49 years later.) Two people together can't reach their arms around it. We can't even cut it down because it would fall on one of the near by houses. When you plant your Christmas Tree, plant it far, far away from any buildings. 🎄🎅🎄
Our family would dig our trees instead of cut tree from the tree lot on a local farm. It was quite a chore for my dad. Several of them survived and made the transplant into our yard.
I don't cut trees to, I have one made of plastic, and it as many years! I just plant trees, I live in Lisboa and I have one Medronheiro, one Clementina tree and a Lima tree.... I don't know there name's in ingles.... Kisses from Portugal 🇵🇹😍
The shepherds finished their business listening to the angels announcing the birth of the Christ-child - then they turnred their attention to a couple with boundlless energy in Latvia.
We have an artificial tree as my husband is severely allergic! We would love to have a real tree. I used to work with a woman who bought a potted tree every year then planted it on her family's farm. Such a lovely idea. :D
That young & tender tree is a great reflection of you! It will speak of your love for life & nature years to come! God's blessings on you both, family & (of course), your precious fur & feathered friends!🐐 🐰🐹🐓🦆🌲🎄
Yes, we have done the pot tree years ago and it is a lovely idea and yours looks beatiful! As we became older we switched to a little artificial tree. Now we, at age 74 and no family near we just put out our little musical toys.
You guys put a lot of thought into everything you do. I really like your wrappings for the presents. As a kid, I had a Christmas tree in a flower pot. It was just right. Now as I live solo, I just have a Charlie Brown tree.
Like your sweater, Deivid. You can plant it next Spring. Plus you can smell that wonderful pine smell. I have pine scented pot pouri to offset the fact that I don't use a real tree. I do approve of the potted tree though and I may do that at some point. Thanks, guys. I'm glad you got a Christmas tree.
I had live trees for years. We would have the same tree for 4 years then plant it. We saw photos of our old house and there is a forest of trees now. We had stories for each tree. My family continues with live trees and has a book with the story of each christmas with each tree. 30 years of live trees is 5 to 10 trees. It does make a difference, in more ways than you may think.
I ❤ your tree, I am energetic to Christmas trees, they bring me out in a rash, I have an artificial one, but I know what you mean about cutting the trees down for a short time, such a brillian idea, to get one in a pot, so you can plant it on your land, but not to close to your home, they grow very big, wishing you both a wonderful Christmas & a happy new year ❄🌲🎁🐑🐐🎁💌🌟❄🌲🐐🐑💗
just think ,when you are both old and enjoying your sunset years you can point and say, That tree there, is our first Christmas tree we ever brought at our new home
Living trees are a popular option in Canada. Often the people who purchase a living tree repot it and put it outside after the holiday season and bring it back in for the next season. Once the pot is too small it is planted on the property permanently. Most of Canada enjoys a true winter with minus temperatures and lots of snow much like Latvia. Good luck and Happy Holidays.
Beautiful tree an I love the tree stand grate idea !!! Hope y'all have a wonderful day God bless stay safe an health from Harlan Kentucky USA! As you say see you next video!!!🌲👨👧
Love the idea for alive Christmas tree after the holiday you can plant it . I hate cute trees it's a waste. That's what the United State should do so you can plant the tree after Christmas. Love the size of your tree it will be beautiful after you put everything on it . After you plant your tree you could decorate it to for the outside that's what the American people do for outside decorations. It's very pretty ! Merry Christmas and God you two . Till I see you on your next video.
I love this eco friendly couple you both are so fun to watch in how you are trying not harm a tree. This such a cute video to watch how Dessey is making her presents up in wrappings!
I use to love the cut trees. The smell of pine. Sigh, But I am now allergic to pine trees. So we have an artificial tree. I am getting ours up late this year. My Mom says that you have to have an owl and a birds nest in your tree. So I have ornaments of those. And I have 90% of the ornaments my boys made for me over the years. I love the floating table under your tree. Very relieved that your tree is not near your rocket fireplace. Smart! Very smart. Continue enjoying 🎄
I love the fact, that you got a tree 🌲 in a pot, that you can plant outside. Also I'm amazed you've got all your presents 🎁, even if some are for advent. The tree looks nice and I'm sure you'll do some great decorations. I've got a cut tree, because I prefer a real tree. It is from a local plant and it will be planted up again.
Excellent idea to buy a living potted Christmas tree for planting after the holidays. If I had the land, I would do it too. We buy a cut tree, but it comes from a tree farm. So new trees are planted after they are cut.
My parents emigrated from Germany so we went with their traditions. When we were little the decorated tree would magically appear on Christmas Eve along with the presents. We are put to bed and then woken "after Santa had come". Of course the milk and cookies we had left for him were gone. Presents were opened on Christmas Eve and we had many, many homebaked cookies to eat while opening presents. When we grew older, we girls would set up the tree a few weeks earlier and decorate it, but presents were always opened on Christmas Eve.
In the states where I live the tree is reused different ways. One of the uses is to put it in a pond or lake where fish use it as cover. I do like the potted tree if you have land to replant. Here in the states we have more trees than 100 years ago.The harvesting of trees does not keep up with growth.
I love the idea of a potted tree that you can replant. It will always remind you of your first tree in your home together. Can’t wait to see it decorated.
Dessy- I agree with you a pot tree is so much better. If you take care of it outside you could probably use it indoors for another 2-3 years (maybe more years if it grows slowly). Then to plant it on your property is not only a happy reminder of Christmases past but also very good environmentally. The Timber slab to stand the tree on and the burlap sack around the pot make it look so beautiful and unique.
What a warm feeling. Merry Christmas to you both and all your beautiful pets and animals. GOD BLESS YOU ALL 🙏 Take care be safe lots and lots of love from South Africa
How awesome to Put the first tree in your Yard for years of remembrance.. To let your children know and the world to know. Merry Happy Christmas to you both and POO POO's and all animals !
I grew up with cut trees . I now use my moms piral grape vines hangs from my ceiling with small white lights i decorate it as fits my moods and season. Yes it hangs year round
Wishing you a great Christmas. After all the work you have done you so deserve it. Love the content of your videos. There are poetic artistic images combined with the choice of music that make your videos a journey of peace and love. Have a good 2022 coming to you. I am basically envious of the natural beauty that surrounds you. Love from Ireland.
My mom grew up in Europe and always had a live tree and handmade ornaments. I used to think that sounded so boring, but now it's how I want my tree to be. I love the idea of putting your tree on top of the slab of wood. I am definitely doing that next year.
Oh yay an early video, fantastic! How fabulous you're going to plant your own tree and watch it grow and become huge, lovely. 😊 BTW your Christmas jumper is so cute
Your first tree is a special one, and you did so well! How sweet💖💖 if you have the land to plant a tree, it's a great investment! We have a plastic tree that we have used for YEARS it might not be the best, but that saves cut trees every year (and $$!)
I love watching you two coming up with great ideals round the farm and in your home magnificent work the geese are so lovely they make me laugh so much when you let them out they come with ther necks sticking up and looking up to you and churpping away with ther bellys wobbling all the animals look so heathy great video my favourite 😀
That is a brilliant idea getting a live tree that you can replant, it will add to the diversity of trees on your land. Enjoy your first Christmas tree ...🎄 ❤x
When my Family was stationed in Karlsruhe Germany, we tried to do potted Growing Trees the 3 years we were there. The reason for our doing potted trees, which includes all 🇺🇸 Boy Scouts accidentally started a Forest Fire, which was quickly contained. My Dad and other Scout Leaders would have been jailed under German Laws. A compromise was reached the Government that the Scouts will buy potted Living Christmas 🎄, and after Christmas, plant the trees in the same Forest to replace those that were burnt. 100+, more than there were 🇺🇸Scouts planted trees. Several European Scouts planted trees in the same forest, to help us. This was the Christmas Season after International Scout Jamboree early 1970's. I can imagine how tall those trees are today.
I love watching your videos I like the idea you did the tree slab it gave me a tip David has so many surprises for you I love the way you wrapped the presents how fastive what a load of snow you have got that makes more xmassy the othe video I watched with David braking the ice for the geese so caring to make sure they can go in the water you two always make sure the animals are kept well in all weather's do your geese come in your house cause they are so tame when you stroke em merry Christmas to you and your animals stay warm and cosy 🎄❄️⛄🎅🤗
The potted tree is a great idea !! My parents would cut a small fir tree down from our yard and then replant it for the next year !! Wrapping presents 🎁 builds anticipation of Christmas 🎄!! Enjoy 😊
I love your tree thats the kind of tree i love.. It seems alot of people here in the srates like the big bushy trees but i like the old fashoned trees like yours..and the fact that its live is wonderful.. Many years from now you can look at it all grown up and have wonderful memories.. Love you!! 😊🎄🎅
I'm late I'm getting my tree too so no we're not too late at least now I know I'm not the only one LOL I love what you guys are doing with your videos they are awesome and you guys are an awesome couple and inspiring team for young people I wish the world had more like you
In the US we generally begin putting up our Christmas decorations the week of Thanksgiving, which is the last Thursday in November. While there are a number for f people that put up a tree that was a live tree many more have gone to using an artificial one. The positive thing about the artificial ones is you buy it once and reuse it for years. Then you can donate to the Arbor Day Foundation and help them replant trees or you can buy and plant trees at your home or property. I am sure that you will be adding trees and bushes to your property. You can add fruit trees, nut trees and bushes. You can also plant shade and decorative trees to add beauty and wind protection to your house and barns.
I love your little living tree. It’s beautiful. That looked like a really cool Christmas Tree farm you went to. Yes, here in California, we can buy living trees from a nursery and plant afterwards. So, which day do you celebrate Christmas on? You kept mentioning the 24th, so I was wondering. Can’t wait to see your homemade ornaments. I’m enjoying your daily vlogs. The ice crystals sliding down the glass was awesome. You are very good and creative with your filming. 🎄☃️
Lovely tree, and the way you wrapped each other’s presents! Just made more mince pies as Xmas will soon be over… We have yet to put our tree up… probably at the weekend, it is an artificial one, love it, as it looks realistic . Hubby puts it up …. And decorates it, does a great job! I go around the house placing decorations I have made and bought over 46 years …. I stopped buying or making decorations now. Enjoy decorating your first tree! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
You are clearly getting into the Christmas spirit and your excitement was infectious. You bring a youthful exuberance to all that you do, it is a welcome experience watching you both move your preparations forward. The personal touches you applied to everything that you do is inspiring, and especially so with your preparations for Christmas.
I love the Christmas trees in the snow. So beautiful. But I really love that the trees come in a pot for planting. They don’t sell them like that here in Florida. The roots are cut off. Your home is gorgeous. Love you both. ❤️🍾⭐️💕
I absolutely LOVE that you got a live tree. After Christmas you can plant it in your yard and next year you can decorate your tree outside. If you do it for a number of years you could have beautiful Christmas trees all around your home. How beautiful! I love learning about your traditions. Here in California USA we decorated an artificial Christmas tree.
I subscribed quite late to this channel were you two originally performers? The circus style styling seems to be indicating it along with your happy positivity. Love the tree! Birdy
Hi, once again a thoughtful Christmas tree. I do love living trees planting them afterwards and watching them grow. I love your present wrappings, we did one Christmas making our own cards and printing on brown paper, both my boys loved the activity. Thank-you for sharing I do love it so. Stay safe, keep warm.

I agree Dessie. As a kid, I always felt bad for the Christmas tree dying in my living room.
Yep, I hate cutting trees for just a few weeks, I believe Jesus wouldn't approve of that😩. Merry Christmas everyone👋💚
Once again, music and editing absolutely fantastic. Well done. I love it.
I love this little tree..its beautiful. And I love the idea of planting it on your property after Christmas.
You two did a great job and the presentation is gorgeous 😍
What a lovely hard working couple
I love the tree

I love the idea that you purchased a living tree! Cutting down trees is so sad. I've noticed a lot more people doing the same. What a great idea!

You can Plant them all around the Farm and watch them grow every year and Recall all the Memories from that year! Wonderful
great idea and add markers for the year and type of tree
This girl is growing on me. She is so creative...cute actually.
Merry Christmas to you and all your subscribers 🎄
You two are adorable. Like a couple that will last 50 years together. You work well together, you have the same goals, and you enjoy one another.
You two are wonderful, and magical! Wishing you both and all your animals a Merry Christmas 🎄❤️
I would love to see a decorated ship! Never heard of that, maybe your mom could show us hers if this is what she does
Love your Christmas tree and the natural way you wrap the gifts…..can’t wait to see what ornaments you make and have to hang on the tree x x 🥰🥰🇬🇧
Yes, we have done the pot tree years ago and it is a lovely idea and yours looks beatiful! As we became older we switched to a little artificial tree. Now we, at age 74 and no family near we just put out our little musical toys.
i love your videos
You guys put a lot of thought into everything you do. I really like your wrappings for the presents. As a kid, I had a Christmas tree in a flower pot. It was just right. Now as I live solo, I just have a Charlie Brown tree.
How nice for both of you. I m 70 but i remember mine
Love the idea of a potted tree; nothing like that her in Florida. Have a wonderful Christmas!!
Merry Christmas!!!! Love and hugs to your Farmily . We are enjoying tour journey.
In Southern California there are a group of people with boats, they decorate their boats and do a parade so folks on the shore can see them
Like your sweater, Deivid. You can plant it next Spring. Plus you can smell that wonderful pine smell. I have pine scented pot pouri to offset the fact that I don't use a real tree. I just the love the way you use what you have and the simple way you are living. Tree is beautiful.
It’s so beautiful! I love how you’ve wrapped your gifts!
I’m glad to see that you use what you have to celebrate the holiday.
In Canada it is called a blue spruce. Its a beautiful tree.
Ребята с наступающим вас вы так классно говорите по английски, хотя там не живёте, счастья и добра вашей молодой семье

Beautiful tree.
I love your laughter!
Beautiful tree hope you two have a Merry Christmas!❤️🎄❤️
Lovely tree, and the way you wrapped each other’s presents!
Just made more mince pies as Xmas will soon be over…
We have yet to put our tree up… probably at the weekend, it is an artificial one, love it, as it looks realistic .
Another fantastic video I look forward to them every day
I absolutely LOVE that you got a live tree.

I love the idea of replanting your xmas tree. I will definitely do that.
