Happy Happy Birthday Dear Miss Hinton. I love your book. I think you wrote the best book about teenagers because you were one yourself and understood. I love your book! I also love the 1983 film, which I think is a perfect film and hope they never never remake it. Thanks again for your book.
This is my favorite movie but I just wish that people didn't just like the movie because of the good looking actors, i mean ya they are attractive but i like it because it's a good story, background, and movie overall. the book is awesome too
supercool_ me I don’t think that’s the only reason they like the movie, the movie by itself is amazing so either way everyone would like the cute boys are more of like an addition to the amazing storyline
I am planning on seeing the movie after I finish the book. I did look up the differences between the movie and the book, and I am kind of sad that not all of the characters fit the appearance as they were in the book.
I think its great she got a D in writing lol They say Einstein hated math too. For those who don't know, the nurse scolding Matt Dillon(Dallas) for losing his hospital gown in the movie was a cameo appearance by S.E. Hinton : )
We school & young adult librarians owe Suzanne A LOT for making our job to get reluctant reader type kids to WANT TO READ! easier! Truly she was the ignite of the Young adult novel. Never read the book, but had a copy. It was everywhere and everyone had a copy. They wanted us to read it at school. Most never read it. I did not see the film either. Heard it was good. No one I know saw the film either. It's one of those books that was always lying around in libraries, on tables, in classrooms, lunch rooms. I probably did not read just because it was ubiquitous...like refusing to buy a product just because there were too many commercials and it annoyed me. Only found out the author was a woman now. Seems like a wonderful lady.
This book made me the way I am today especially the habit of reading. Thank you Suzan Hinton.
That answer was so good. What is in your future?
S. E. Hinton 'Bedrest"

I also hope people who love the movie so much read the book.

SHE FORGOT TO SAY C. THOMAS HOWELL
That's true but they are still close. They both appeared and gave a short speech at the inauguration of the Curtis House Museum in Tulsa.
best novel.
Fun fact: you either came here on your own to understand your work better
Or your teacher forced you to watch this
