Living in Newquay Cornwall decent Carp waters are a rarity so if i need a bend in the rod often fish small holiday park venues similar to Wood Pool. I have found that pressured fish in small lakes become very nervy especially of lines through the small amount of water causing the whole lake to shut down. Seems to scream the 'Washing line Method' keeping the lines out of the water should sort those fish in my book. Tight lines fellas and allm, Brad

Absolutely mint boys only just subbed on this account I usually watch on my other but cracking nice fish was there much price difference from that lake and the other
Nice one Logan thanks for subbing mate :-) It's roughly the same tbh mate because on the bigger lake you can get 4 anglers where as on this one its only 2. Works out roughly 125 per angler...

Hey Matt, I think the lake rules are the same as the main pool. You have to use rig tubing and no zigs allowed. Leads need to drop off or be running… they’re the main ones that spring to mind. Weather looks good this weekend so you’ll probs clean up!
Hi Guys, Nice to see you on Wood pool, I fished it on the midweek session a fortnight ago on my own, had three nice fish to just over 20lb but it looks like the the one you had just under 10lb was one i had too !! it looks really similar in my pics :) Great venue and will turn into something special as it matures. Keep the you tubes coming too !!

Cracking vid as always lads. I reckon that take of Wayne's that was an odd one was, what Adam Penning calls a sitter, where the carp knows it's hooked but doesn't bolt, it just stays sat over the spot gently rocking side to side trying to dislodge the hook.

i liked the sound of rain befor but listening to it hit a bivvy makes me sad hahaha, good vid gents, looks a decent place to go give a go! i like how you have your camera set up for a live take, i do it with my go pro but end up charging it 6 times with no footage hahahaha

@@FreshFishing I put pellets in the middle hopper of Actor boat glugged in krill and used a krill wafter on one rod other rod pellets and S7 boilie with crushed/flaked S7 in hopper of Actor boat 👍 You can use a small pva bag attached to your hook also 🎣 Tight lines pal🤞

When is the next video coming boys? (no pressure!) the fishing has been very different so far this year,especially in the north east. I'm a regular at Woodlands in Thirsk as you know. The lakes are overflowing (especially Kingfisher!) due to the rainfall lately and the Carp are still yet to spawn! We have caught some really heavy smaller carp, but nowt huge. 14lb being the biggest. I'm seeing a lot of heavy fish being caught on specimen waters that dont look very big in size buy weigh massive. Do you think late spawning is resulting in record weights? Thoughts? Norm.

I'm trying to talk my mates into branching out into better waters for specimen fishing. Its my 40th in July....Las Vegas looks out of bounds so bivvy and BOTS is more realistic. Hehehe
It’s a much longer wait this specimen fishing stuff but when it happens it’s so worth it. Also, Vegas is the nuts haha went for my 30th a couple years ago!
What a session lads loved it and looked like good fun. We are going of to willow lake at the Oaks this week so hoping for a new PB.

Haha cheers Chris mate. Use a power bank with your gopro and set it to looping mode 😉 wood pool is defo an awesome option to get a few on the bank
