  • We tour around Transylvania, Romania, visiting the village of Biertan with its UNESCO World Heritage site fortified church, and the hilltop medieval town of Sighisoara (also UNESCO site) with its multiple historic structures, cobblestone streets, and walled fortifications.
What awesome places, still largely undiscovered by American tourists.

At Biertan was found a 4th century Christian Roman 'Donarium', one of the earliest Christian objects north of Danube, in the form of a cross with the message "Ego Zeno vius Vot um Posuit" - I, Zenovius, offered this gift.

Well, in my view there could be another metaphorical interpretation. Zeno is the God of the Sky, while Vius / Viu means Alive, in Latin and Romanian. So the 'alive God of the sky' could be Jesus and the message of the craftsman was - I Jesus Christ, gifting this cross (Christianity) to mankind.
