The school on the very top is only grades 9-12. Lower grades are in the downward part of the citadel (grades 1-4 next to the clock tower and grades 5-8 next to the big square). Imagine running up those stairs every morning while being late for classes :))) that was me!

Hi my wife and I are really enjoying your videos we’ve traveled a lot in Romanian I’ve been pretty much everywhere you’ve been so far with the Romanian friend who acted as our guide who now lives in Portland. If you go more towards Transylvania there is a old Saxon Village called Viscri which has an amazing church. When we visited we were instructed to knock on the ladies door and she would come out and bring the key for us to get into the church to tour. We were the only people there and it was a memorable event. Check it out if you happen to be up that way. I also have good friends in Oradea . If you’re heading up that way let me know and I’ll break my nose social media rule and go on Facebook or Instagram and give you their contact information.
Hi, Randy! Thank you for the suggestions and possible contact information. We are on our last days here in Romania but expect to be back someday soon. Thank you again for reaching out to us!! Cheers!!!🍻
Not to often, fortunately 😊. We do use Google maps which does help quite a bit. We also love to wander so even if we take the long round about way somewhere we do tend to eventually stumble across it. Cheers 🍻
We are thinking maybe people just aren't traveling as much as pre-pandemic? In Brasov, the weekends were really crowded but the weekdays were unusually quiet.
Since you are both frugal, I think you will be a great resource to ask the following: what do you think of using credit cards? Do you use them to get airline points? Do you utilize any other hacks? I don't use any credit card benefits, except some cash back on my capital one card. I am a cash/debit card girl, but use Credit Cards for bigger purchases such as flights.
We use Capital One as well but other than that we don't really have any money-saving travel hacks. Eventually, we will have enough points to use on airline tickets. We did a Q & A video a few months back that may answer any other questions you may have. Thank you for watching! Cheers!!🍻 ua-cam.com/video/Cig7kaN386Y/v-deo.html

Cheers!!!🍻
How often do you get lost when walking around a new place?
Not to often, fortunately 😊. We do use Google maps which does help quite a bit. We also love to wander so even if we take the long round about way somewhere we do tend to eventually stumble across it. Cheers 🍻
Surprising there aren’t many people outside…
We are thinking maybe people just aren't traveling as much as pre-pandemic? In Brasov, the weekends were really crowded but the weekdays were unusually quiet.
Morning
Are you going to do France?
Hi, Vicky. We will not be going to France this time around. Thank you for watching!
Cheers!!!🍻
Since you are both frugal, I think you will be a great resource to ask the following: what do you think of using credit cards? Do you use them to get airline points? Do you utilize any other hacks? I don't use any credit card benefits, except some cash back on my capital one card. I am a cash/debit card girl, but use Credit Cards for bigger purchases such as flights.
We use Capital One as well but other than that we don't really have any money-saving travel hacks. Eventually, we will have enough points to use on airline tickets. We did a Q & A video a few months back that may answer any other questions you may have. Thank you for watching!

@@BrianandCarrie Thanks so much for your reply. Again, since you are frugal, you may consider showing your meal prep. Just a thought. I love you guys!! Keep the great content coming.
FYI , you can get visa extension in Portugal, easy , $100 , for an extra 90 days , have to just stay in Portugal
Yes, you are correct! We may utilize that in the next couple of years. Thank you for watching our channel!!!
Cheers 🍻
That is the high-school.

Thank you for the info, Dan!

@@BrianandCarrie this school was built in 1522 ,translation : "To the sons of the fatherland, whom dedicated themselves to virtue and science - a sacred place"
Very cool!! Love the history of Romania!! Thank you, Dan!!
Noroc!!🍻
@man city By Romanians, the Hungarians were aristocracy, they didn't work anything, just consumed what other produced.
@man city didn't ask+you're wrong+don't care.
Regarding 7:30, as you could probably tell by now, Romania has a big graffiti problem, especially in Bucharest. The city if simply uglyfied by all that graffiti everywhere you turn your head. I hate it, lucky for me I don't live in Bucharest :) Anyways it's done by "cool" teens who think they are "against the system" if they spray everything they see... I hope the trend will fade away.. wishful thinking :)
It does seem to be more common. We have seen it everywhere we have been, Seattle has a problem as well. 🍻
Yanks playing the M's recently has been like a torture chamber !! Stay cool and use sunscreen ! Cheers !!
Let's just wait and see what happens!! I'm not one to get ahead of myself!! 🙂 I have been waiting for you to message, however...😆
Cheers!!!🍻
@@BrianandCarrie 4 1/2 months to go for me !! can't wait.
It will go by so fast!!! So exciting!!!
i wish people would stop doing "graffiti" all over the places , or at least make something nice if u still do it
Agreed, it is everywhere!! It is getting bad in parts of Seattle as well.😔
Great Channel. We just subscribed. Sent you a PM in Instagram as well.
Thank you! We will reach out on Instagram.
Cheers!!!🍻
