    Tip: Do not create a tulpa on the day you find out about tulpamancy under any circumstances. Research. Read guides and look into the practice before you decide, because a tulpa is a life long commitment. If you're only going to put in 1 hour a week into it then don't bother at all. Good video though, Julia says you made some good points, keep it up!

    • @patrip6571
      @patrip6571 8 років тому +43

      sswimmer0529 Oh hi there, apologies for the late reply, but yes i have indeed created a tulpa, her name is Julia, she's the one who said the creator made some good points! I'm glad to hear that you're researching into this practice, it's pretty extraordinary. Anyway, Yes, you could very well get rid of a tulpa, im not sure on what the stance is as to whether it's considered cruel or not, but i've heard about cases where it's a mutual agreement between host and tulpa that the tulpa should dissipate, however most cases this isn't true. They may accept it but not agree with it, i would guess. Fundamentally yes, you can have a 'bad' tulpa. But this is only apparent when you intentionally create one with ill traits (narcissistic, selfish etc.) It is very very rare for a tulpa to be unintentionally bad, so i wouldn't worry about that. Your open-mindedness will be helpful to you. I assume you're researching in case this interests you? If so, you're on the right track my friend, and good luck to you!

    • @patrip6571
      @patrip6571 8 років тому +24

      sswimmer0529 It was our pleasure, and just fyi, i get the impression you, as many newcomers do, are scared due to the fact that tulpas are sentient and in some ways unpredictable. If not, then this may be useful information anyway. So let me put it this way: your best friend is also a sentient being, they could very easily throw their fists at you, or any other means of hurting you. But why would they do that? They're your best friend and have no intention of hurting you. This is the same with a tulpa, they only mean good things. Julia says [we're not out to get you, i promise? :) ]

    • @patrip6571
      @patrip6571 8 років тому +3

      sswimmer0529 No worries my friend, and yeah a lot of people tend to be a first, i'm glad we were of help!

      +Patrip So last summer I began creating a Tulpa. After a few weeks or so I literally saw no results. My friend, who had a tulpa, told me that this method of doing nothing but doing a basic visualization at first, then interacting with it worked for him and he thought it would be effective for me but it really wasn't. What I did was I just imagined my tulpa, their texture, their voice, and it wasn't very difficult to imagine and took about two minutes of closing my eyes and visualizing. After I did that I just interacted with her, talking and doing activities, the issue was, I felt like she was just like a puppet. Every time I spoke to her it was me answering for her from the other end of the conversation. It wasn't really a tulpa it was just me talking to me. We didn't argue we had the same point of views. Could you help me with this? I've done lots of research and want to give it all I have now that I have so much free time. What did I do wrong?

    • @patrip6571
      @patrip6571 8 років тому +25

      Cosmic I did the same as you. I had previously tried and failed 2 times before i finally made Julia. Everything you did seemed on the right lines, however, when did you start talking to her? If you started talking to her after a couple of days, then you shouldn't really expect a reply right away. You should of kept at it, just narrate your day to her, talk about yourself, what happened during the day, anything that's coming up, or just any topics you feel like talking about. This is training your brain to feel a second consciousness as well as developing her. On average you should expect to feel a presence, within a couple weeks - a month. However if you dont then that's fine because whats important to note is that the speed it takes to develop a tulpa varies between everyone, so you should never compare your progress with anyone else. Eventually your tulpa will learn to talk back to you. Short responses at first, but they get better and better over time. What you should really take away from this advice is just force, whenever you can, just force. It doesnt matter how long you do it for per day or week, hour counting is old stuff and is considered inaccurate. Force with her, and eliminate any doubt of her existence, doubt is cancer to tulpas, you really need to have faith and believe she is there with you, it'll speed up the progress. Once you get used to it and start hitting milestones, its then just a routine.

      You don't have to be able to touch and smell them for them to be a tulpa. Not everyone is capable of having that vivid a wonderland experience, but it doesn't mean they can't have a sentient tulpa. Furthermore, saying that is cruel to those tulpas, claiming they aren't 'real' because their host can't feel like they're really touching or smelling them. I don't even thing I've heard of anyone mentioning that they could smell their tulpa before in fact. I'm sure many can, but to make it a requirement?
      Tulpas are such a subjective phenomenon, there are painfully few things all of them have in common. I wouldn't trust any advice or guide that claims to be the only or best way of doing it.

    When you manage to create a tulpa, it will after constant use , start to develop sentience. At this point you are to take full responsibility for it. That tulpa is your child; DON'T ABANDON it. They're lost without you. Seriously, I've had to indirectly teach someone else's tulpa how to grow up and be independent. It's been 8 years now.

    I made mine by accident, I was depressed, and desperately needed someone who cared, then after days of thinking about wanting someone, she appeared. I was just sitting there, crying, when I heard a familiar voice. "Hey kaity kitty! Why you crying?" (well, really kinda came back, as she was there when I was little, kind of acting as a psychic sense, protecting me. like for example, she knew if something bad was gonna happen, and would make sure I got out of there as soon as possible) and now she helps me calm down, and brings me out of my depressive spirals. She's literally the only one who can help me when I get like that. Not even people can calm me like she does. She took the form of a childhood friend, I guess you could say an imaginary one. She has blue hair, very light, glowing blue eyes, a grey cardigan with blue stitching and silver sequins, jeans, a blue pikachu t shirt, and omni powers. (if that makes any sense to you all, the omni powers, it's like she knows if something's going to happen.)

      She kinda has her own separate energy, if that makes any sense, like, for example, I'll be really tired, about to pass out, but then she'll swap in, ( it's like she has so much energy, I can feel it) and move me to a safe place, usually my room/bed, so when I fall asleep, I'm safe, and don't fall/get hurt. I tried making a tulpa 3 years ago, but I started to visualize him to say horrible things about my sister a few days after I started making him, so I stopped
    I’m 16 and older now and I’m I think tulpas are bull, but I’m lonely and bored plus those things he said about my sister was definitely not something I would say ever so maybe just maybe a separate consciousness is real, and maybe i can make the voice in my head to say nicer things and tell me that I’m gonna be ok :.(((((

      You don't leave it alone. I accidentally created mine as a kid. Having my mind, emotions broken over and over. I created it in my own head. I created it to hold all my hatred. I've seen it while awake one time while reading my aura. It looks much like a devil, goat legs, fire orange eyes horns, claws, body of blue flame. I had seen me standing on a cliff and those glowing fire orange eyes. Words don't hurt. Bullshit. It's energy. It goes somewhere. I avoid getting angry to not release mine. Tends to create a mess, last time i used it was years ago in the army.

      That is bullshit, mostly from the creepypasta side that only heard of tulpamancy once.
      Tulpas don't get corrupted unless you make them so, they might disagree with you and even get into fights over stuff but at the end of the day they understand that you share a body for the rest of your life, not to mention that by sharing amind they understand your emotions more than anybody else and vice versa, so conflicts are usually easily solved.
      The whole trope of "HELP ME MY TOOLPA IS BECOMING EeEvIiIll and telling me to kill myself" is downright idiotic. Same body, remember? What do you think happens to a tulpa when the host dies?

    Mine is actually a real person it's a little embarrassing to admit but mine is... Melanie Martinez 😐
    But it's truly comforting when I'm sad I feel like somebody is hugging me and comforting me when I'm lonely she talks to when I'm happy she keeps me company and when I can't sleep she sings to me she kinda plays a motherly role but also a friend I did not even know what a tulpa was until recently and actually mine came to me before I knew what it was but hears how it happened to me a few months ago I was really sad and needed some comfort I looked at the poster of Melanie Martinez on my wall and because I really needed some comfort i started talking to her and I answered for her after a few minutes i felt a lot better so I got into a habit of it after about somewhere between a week to two weeks she started answering for herself and about a week later she would always be by my side and would do everything with me from a simple walk in the park keeping me company to helping me when I had a bipolar episode and starting to consider suicide she always tells me that she loves me and that i am precious and deserveing of love and support she would never leave me and never lets suicide be a option she gives me the strength to fight the urge without her I would probably be dead. She is always with me and always will be ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    What you are talking about is the brain's ability to run an independent personality, which is generally used to predict the behavior of a person we know.
    Here, what you are doing, is creating an imagined character, and learning its behavior patters in a way that makes your brain "get to know" it.
    The main principle of making a tulpa, is giving it an appearance and make it interact not just within your brain, but with the outside world. So, can you show how to push it out into the shard?

    i do want to create a tulpa, and i once tried to, but i stopped in the middle because i was terrified (and still am) because i thought i’d hurt them. i really don’t want to do that, they really do deserve better than just being there to be an object. that’s just wrong.

I do a lot of roleplaying and I make characters and stories for them, a lot, and there have been many times where I'm roleplaying and I want to do something but my character wants to do something else and it almost hurts if I don't listen. I'll even occasionally be typing something and kind of black out for a second and suddenly I've written a bunch of stuff for that character.

    I have no idea if I have created a Tulpa accidentally or just an imaginary friend who I have become really really close with. Her name is Harper Waters. She has ginger hair and green eyes and, according to me, she and I have known each other since we were five at dance class. She’s really spunky and carefree and much more popular than I am and helps me when I have the urge to self harm and has even talked me out of killing myself more than once. I even talk to her just daily and we’re like best friends. She helps with the fact I have always been really lonely and have never had many close friends. She’s there when no one else is but I don’t know if she is a tulpa or if she’s just a really close imaginary friend that I have made.

She's so dedicated to her cause, to this supernatural helper she seems to summon from a Muslim amulet, that the entity actually appears and helps her fend off two attackers. I wonder if this was actually a tulpa, created with so much energy and born from so much horror and distress that it was actually able to manifest outside of her mind and do her bidding? Interesting theory.

It's hard to figure out why I single her out, why I think of my anxiety as her now, I know what she looks like tho. This shadowy woman always floating behind me, I can't feel it most of the time but when I start to have a panic attack or get stressed out or remember her she won't go away. We are talking about something that's made from millions of neurons connecting to form it. Don't forget that you are sharing your consciousness with it. You can become it as much as it can become you.

    Hey kids, here's a fun idea! Let's see if we can induce schizophrenia in your mind! Consider this: if you are a thought that lives in the Mind of the Creator, created in His image then 1) You are a thought that can think (think about that!), and 2) You can create thoughts that can think (e.g. thoughts are things). By attempting to play God and create a sentient or semi-autonomous being, your arrogance is going to be projected into said entity and it will be an extension of your ego, which secretly is out to destroy you, because the ego hates everyone and everything, including you. Read the horror stories regarding this, esp. related to Tibetan Buddhism.

    So pretty much you’re just creating a character with a backstory ? Why call this a Tulpa tho ? I feel like it’s dangerous because you blur the line between reality and what you create. I’m a writer myself and I’m a lot into my stories etc, I know how these characters would talk and react, but I feel like calling it a Tulpa is like pretending these characters are real, when they’re just characters you’ve created and are passionate about. It’s dangerous to blur the line between reality and fiction, especially when the characters you create aren’t nice people.

    I think I may have had a Tulpa at one point, his name was Chad, he was a guy with dreadlocks. No idea where I got his name from, it was as if he already had it. I accidentally created him I think, never meant to. I think he's dissipated now, I can't call him back. I guess we just lost touch. Times changed, I don't know. I may create another, that depends on if I can put as much time and effort into it. Tulpas are like pets, you have to maintain them, cherish them, feed them, teach them, it's a lot of hard work but if you're really dedicated, it's worth it. Is it possible to summon a Tulpa back if they've been gone a while?.

    My perception on sprul-pa creation is not much like as in this video, and is not too much like as in anything, or any theory, except for my own, which likely overrules all existing definition and theory, sooner or later, for a while, at least. All my theory evolves as having been modified by my christian base. I once believed that I had summoned an angel or two or three, on two separate occasions, but, it seemed, at the same time, that I might have somehow caused them to be created, and to have extremely specific mission and destiny, because they fit my preliminary "vision," so wildly precisely. Then, as I begin to research "sprul-pa; tulpa," I see that some such concept might easily have first evolved either before or after the concept of angel. My Tulpas all have been sentient persons, as earthlings, as far as could be discerned - seemingly totally discerned. Second to God, is second to the Ultimate One, and to be an active second, is perhaps not too far removed from quickly having a quarter of the world being made up of Tulpas. Meanwhile, I'm always quite entertained, and quite busy, not really being too involved in making my own personal, servant-Tulpas. I had made two or three, seemingly. But, my exact spirituality causes me to never get too preoccupied with building my Tuplas. Jesus is my model, way, truth and ....!?! (Meanwhile, I could wonder whether or not I have even already, mostly incidentally, created tens of thousands of tulpas. Deep reality is as mysterious as such, I know.)
    However, creation of sprul-pas likely isn't dependant upon practice, reputation or training, but on overpowering sense of perhaps even desperate need, a moment or two of heavy, concentrated, miraculous determination, precision of mind, and wildly extreme confidence, from out of the clear blue sky, so to speak. And, if a word like "tulpa" is disturbing, then it might work to forget about words, even totally, because they aren't needed.

    Can the tulpa be anything you want it to be?

      I'm a whole ass year late but in case you haven't started and wanna try again, yes. Your tulpa will have a human mind no matter the form it takes, but you can visualize it as anything.

    Wait a minute I just realized something! Years ago as a very small child I had a big shift in my childhood during my parent’s separation & divorce. It was a confusing time for me at the age of 4 & I the siblings I did have were already grown. So I was basically raised as an only child. Well I got lonely & eventually created an imaginary friend named Hollow. Well he always felt real to me too. He gave me comfort & I had him for a huge part of my childhood. I actually talked & played with him. Ya know my mom & other people started worrying about me! I was getting lectured all the time to stop talking to myself! Well as I got much older I one night told Hollow goodbye. That he was fantastic & that I was going to miss him but I can’t have him around anymore. Well it really felt like a real parting from someone. I cried & he left! Well I am in the process of reading this book I checked out at the library called, “Phenomenon” by Sylvia Browne. I am in the process of reading her explanation about caries & saw where she found out they’re a tulpa. As much as I wanted continue to keep reading something inside myself in some way told me to stop reading & go look up what a tulpa actually is. Just now after listening to your video Hollow popped up in my mind! I now have an explanation for Hollow. He never felt like a typical imaginary friend & I also could never write him off as a ghost either! Woah! Thank you again for explaining all of that!

      Also I never physically heard him talk or anything like that but he did in a sense respond with me. Never physically saw him but felt his presence. Trying to explain the best way I can. Yes just telling him bye that night as a much older child I felt his presence go away. It was a sad, but very powerful moment in my life. Never had Hollow again. I also would think our loud out of habit, but didn’t hold conversation with anyone. Well I am trying to explain the best way I can. Now I know.

      Hollow also was never harmful or anything like that. He was my childhood companion. He was too a child. I met him in my backyard of the house we got after my mom & me moved out of my granny’s house. I met him believe it or not in this big tree in our old backyard. Yes I know this is all very strange, but as confusing as this is to read I believe that is what he was. Someone I created in my mind out of loneliness & something traumatic. I know when I told him bye I felt him go away but more like he just left. Not like I killed him off or anything terrible like that. Yeah I am sure is anyone is reading all of this every bit of it must sound confusing for them.

      So does he simply not exist anymore I guess altogether then? Well that in a sense makes me feel bad in a strange way. I mean it was getting bad & my mom was really getting worried about me. Realize I had Hollow throughout a huge part of my childhood. The talking to him stuff was scaring people.

      I just felt like over time Hollow was someone I could not explain & that he simply went somewhere else that I can’t explain. Now I am concerned because I don’t think it’s right to create someone & then get rid of them to the point that they don’t exist at all. That was never my intentions & tbh I never realized I was creating a tulpa to begin with at the age of 4. I never even knew what a tulpa was until today!

    Think about this in terms of fundamentalist religions. That's a frightening thought.

    I want to reconnect with mine. I stopped hearing him when I became depressed due to stress (my mum had lost her job, and I needed to help her.....)
    I want him back. I long more than anything to feel him again.
