@@anshultiwari898 yes nagpur is well connected with all modes to all major cities. But I was talking about geographical location, Jabalpur is more centrally located than Nagpur. Nagpur's connectivity is way better than Jabalpur.
This is the 21st century ... central location means shit in todays times.... especially when the country is surrounded by the ocean on three sides. These are not medieval times when people used to travel by bullock carts, camels and horses and take a halt at regular intervals... so you needed a central logistical hub. In fact when the freight corridors are complete ..they will be more detrimental than useful for central locations because then trade will happen seamlessly without stoppages. You take global examples like USA , CHINA , RUSSIA , AUSTRALIA and BRAZIL and you will realize that their geographical centers are insignificant and don't really have big cities. My Background : All four grandparents from Nagpur settled in Navi Mumbai. Have a lot of relatives in Nagpur and visit it regularly. Whenever I visit, my cousins are always talking about MIHAN and how Nagpur is going to be the next big thing ( Main dudh ke bottle se daaru ke bottle tak aagaya .. par ab tak MIHAN main kuch nahi hua ) I think Nagpur has some fundamental disadvantages 1. It is surrounded by cities within 400 km distance which are first preference for their respective state governments. Bhopal in MP, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Hyderabad in Telangana. So there is a stronger political will from their governments to attract investments to these cities in the region. Nagpur unfortunately is third preference for the Maharashtra government .. plus with Nashik attracting investments these days it could well become 4 th . The geographical advantage which is being promoted to its citizens is actually a disadvantage for the city. 2. Nagpur has inadequate water resources. It has high dependence on ground water resources which are depleting fast. Heavy industries and manufacturing need a lot of water for its operations. Unless government builds canals in the region , I don't think this problem is going away anytime soon. 3. It has extreme temperatures . People who think their city is hot should visit Nagpur in the summers. The temperatures here rival that of Jaisalmer ( which is in the middle of a goddamn desert ) for a good 3 - 3 and 1/2 months of the year. People die of heatstrokes every year and if you don't cover yourself properly during summers while going outside, you are susceptible to suffer from the Loo (Jhaav for Nagpurkars 😂). I think successive governments have been aware of these things but still give false promises of developing it as a logistical hub for getting votes. Honestly , I really want Nagpur to grow as I have ties to city but this wont happen if the city doesn't get its priorities right. The Logistical Hub thingy is nonsense and should be scrapped. Instead should attract some IT and ITes investments but please don't expect product companies to come to the city as Hyderabad is in the vicinity and companies would rather open office there instead of Nagpur. If the water issue is sorted , it can also attract some manufacturing and heavy industries. Nagpur being the winter capital already has some good government institutions and should strive to attract more government jobs. It has also made good progress in the the education sector ( presence of AIIMS , IIM, VNIT and IIIT ) and strive to make itself an education and research hub ( Wuhan, China is somewhere close to the central location of mainland china if we exclude Tibet and it has managed to become a center of high education with high research output ). In conclusion , Nagpur is a sleepy town with good food , chilled relaxed life and decent infrastructure. The government should stop neglecting it and invest enough so that the youngsters stop emigrating to other cities for better opportunities. But don't expect it to be the next big thing anytime soon.
Exactly my thoughts! I too grew up in Mumbai & my parents & relatives are from Nagpur. I don't think the central location is advantageous today. The dedicated freight corridors too are directly connecting JNPT & other ports with the northern states. The proposed North-South dedicated freight corridor can boost Nagpur for sure but it won't be the logistics capital just like that. Also logistic hubs tend to be near big consumption centres. Like Bhiwandi & Taloja for MMR, Pune & Manesar for NCR. Nagpur is nowhere near to big consumption centres. Raipur & Hyderabad will have their own mini logistic hubs owing to their state govts. The best bet for Nagpur is to become a good logistic hub, manufacturing area, as office hub for IT service companies & education/research centre. But since it was once the capital of Central Provinces hence Nagpurkars think their city should be like Hyderabad or something without realising the challenges

Something which is equidistant from most locations is also equally far from everywhere. You need manufacturing and consumption centers for any kind of warehousing and logistics. Consumers need goods as soon as possible which is only possible when goods are stored close to consumption centers like Bhiwani and Manesar. There is absolutely no reason to have a logistics hub that doesn't have either consumption, manufacturing, or warehousing. Nor does it act as a major transit junction, most domestic shipments move directly among major metros. For Exim, containers move along dedicated freight corridor routes in the north and for peninsular regions to the respective nearest port, later transhipped via Colombo or Singapore to the international maritime routes. Nagpur and the region do decent agri exports and for that infrastructure is being developed but calling Nagpur 'key to India's success' is overstatement.

@@akshaybeedkar950 just look at the bharatmala list... more than mumbai, Chennai Kolkata Delhi.... the list is filled with connecting nagpur to everywhere.... more important projects could have been done. Just reminding over emphasis on nagpur is only because of the Minister
Totally agree nagpur mein rss ka headquarters hai yeh bhi ek Karan hai
@@padhlekyakarrhahaituyahanp1011 no. Every one does this. Gandhi kept winning from places where they never settled because they opened 4 4 PSUs there.... everyone does this
@@yuvrajshikhar3327 so what? All he is building is roads! How is that bad? After all Nagpur is centrally located! Btw Mumbai gets many many projects as compared to any other city in India! This is the first time few projects are given to Nagpur

0:25 There is no Aurangabad. Only #Shambhaji_nagar 🌷
Bro it's chhatrapati sambhaji nagar not Aurangabad 🙏
District ka naam h chamtrapthi sambhaji
City ka naam aurangabad hi h abhi bhi
