Nagpur is a natural hub for road, rail, and air freight. However there should not be an over-emphesis on centralisation. For some parts of the country, transporting to Nagpur and then to another part of the country may be more expensive than transporting directly between the two points directly using smaller roads. Therefore the smaller roads should not be ignored and will be required to be constructed/maintained to optimise the Indian logistics network.

That's the beauty of MH politicians. What makes MH and south different from rest of India is that...their is political will for development, trade and industries. As you move towards north...things are very different. Except Delhi-NCR there is hardly any big industrial and commercial hub.

I am from nagpur, there is no douth that nagpur has potential to grow in so many fields , no doubt nagpur can also become tier 1 city also , but there so many problem here like very few MNC's are set up here ,there are no jobs people here, people go to mumbai,pune for job. Not only jobs but there are issues like politics state govt major concentrate on mumbai ,navi mumbai and pune . But thanks to gadkari and fadnvis ji to do development here in nagpur ,and now all india know the smart city nagpur in development.
Nagpur climate is another major factor , due to emmense heat very less companies prefer to invest here but I hope nagpur grows like mumbai , pune in future .

When we say the "The West is Hypocrite", it not only applies to the world but to the nation too. Like, the Maharashtra government has been, for so long, neglecting the eastern part of Maha, Vidarbha. If we look at development or progressive approaches by the government, the cities like Mumbai and Pune have always been looked after first. Nagpur is as competitive as Nashik, but it still demeans the fact that Nagpur's development should be given more attention since it is the 2nd capital. But the governmental negligence has always hurdled the development in the Vidarbha region, be it making development, creating jobs, or caring for farmers. The farmers of Vid region have the highest sui.cide rate just because there is no way the rainwater can be stored or harvested. What took so long for the government to build a proper dam and canal system for farming is still a question. I only the government focuses a bit on the region rather than playing politics, the immense potential the city offers or the youth holds will give a really big boost to the national economy. Rather than going to Mum, Pune, and Hyd the youth will help develop here.
