@@OLearysBMW Thats correct, from 76mm to 79mm and a 1,5mm washer between caliper and mounting points. On the plus side the T5/T6 zimmermann disc's even with machining are 1/3 of the prize of the M3 disc's
I know that Opel Insignia B have 345 mm rotors that are known to be put on e46 (when the center is machined out to fit bmw hubs) I wonder if maybe they would fit edit, according to my logical point of view, they should with a few mm distance between caliper and hub. The next thing to worry about would be how the pad biting would look like.
Didnt even know that the E9x brakes would be pnp . You could also use M3 calipers which are the same as on the CSL and buy csl carriers( 850 per side ) But that's a lot more expensive.
@DailyDrivenClasssics M3 caliper install onto non M3 knuckle needs removal of material from caliper bracket to make up for offset. Not saying that's a huge deal or anything, just seems unnecessary to source M3 calipers.
went from a 318ti m sport to a 328ci i manual swapped n been learning a lot from what you do for future plans. any recomendations where to go to n52b30 swap an e46
Ich danke dir für diese Information. Ich habe leider die 135i performance bremse gekauft ... mit e92 M3 Bremsscheiben. ... hätte ich es vorher gewusst... vielleicht nicht gekauft
How to use e92 m3 350x24mm discs on e46 m3 with 2 piston caliper? Is disc machined in some way? Is trailing arm mounting modified somehow or there is an adapter?
This 335 calliper would fit on just 330d carrier with 324mm dis , i dont need bigger than 324 , but less weight . Some advice on this please , its a touring m47
@viliussedbaras6544 There are other options, yet would involve hub centric spacers and/or some machine work. The E46 M3 CSL rotor can be expensive, no doubt. I spent a good amount of time searching for a deal.
Most helpful guy in the e46 community. Appreciate you dude.
Brilliant! Truly... I've been wanting to upgrade my 330ci brakes to a big brake kit keeping it OEM without breaking the bank and you figured it out.
Thanks for sharing this, Tyler! 🤙
Great video as always! Definitely going to look into doing this in the future. Thanks Tyler.
F30 calipers are used in combo with VW T5/T6 discs
@MichaDamian666 Yes, need to machine the center larger and do some shimming from what I remember.

Thank you for sharing! In theory these should also bolt to a non M e36.
Awesome upgrade.

You need adapter ... it's 6 poston front
@idokwatcher2062 i don't no .... never do it
wow thanks for these tips ! first i thought it will work only with 18´.... do you know diameters of your 17´ wheels to fit?
So these fit the e46 330i hubs, would they also fit the e36? As i have used the 330i callipers and rotors, on the e36, which fit.
Does it matter which e70 rear calipers? 35i, 48i, 50i? Looks like the 30i and the 35i have a different part number than the 48i and 50i

What other rotors can fit on this setup
I'm not sure at the moment when it comes to all usable rotors, I'll have to do some measuring.
Does e90 front calipers works on e46 with e90 335i rotors? Or just with e46 CSL rotors?

So a single piston on the e9x vs two piston system on the 330i, how is this better besides weight saving?
@irinamartynenko4807 330 E46 doesn't have 2 piston.
