Paul didn't want us ignorant about what happens to the dead... 1 Thess 4:13-18. The most ignored event of the rapturist is the fact that the dead are coming from the Celestial realm to the terrestrial realm and need their terrestrial bodies resurrected from the dead so that they can now rule and reign with Christ on the physical world for 1000 years without being ghosts or disembodied spirits on Earth. When they died and went to Glory, they received glorified bodies.. Phil 3:19,20...leaving their Earth suits on Earth... 2 Cor 5:8. Paul shows the resurrection of the dead in 1 Cor 15:40-55.... He calls the Earth suit, "terrestrial", "physical" and "flesh and blood"....and tells us that this body does not inherit heaven...vs 50. The rapturist narrative starts in verse 51... in which we are told that Paul revealed this brand new mystery of a rapture... when the mystery that Paul revealed was how people are CHANGED at the event he directly called "the resurrection of the dead"...vs 42. Not only are we then lied to and told of a brand new mystery, we are lied and told that these resurrected Earth suits go to heaven for 7 years...or 3.5 ...in any case... the opposite of what Paul states.
In order to present a rapture event.. the resurrection of the dead must be pushed off until the "second coming"... yet both 1 Cor 15:40-55 and 1 Thess 4:13-18 show that the dead return with Christ...vs 14 from the Celestial realm to and have their physical bodies RISE FIRST from the Earth...vs 15-17. This presents multiple problems... Along with two returns... there are now two resurrections of the dead.
Rev 20:4-6 informs us that those martyred for not taking the mark are resurrected at the FIRST resurrection... the 2nd doesn't occur until after the 1000 year reign of Christ. Amazing how many people's brains leak out when they attempt to suggest that the individual resurrections of Christ and Lazarus, etc. that occured prior to the Book of Revelation being penned... are somehow in this equation. Job first mentions the mass resurrection of the dead in Job 14:12.... it is a singular event that happens when the heavens are destroyed with a great noise.... 2 Peter 3:10, Matt 24:35-42, Mark 13:31,32
We are not called to interpret Scripture but to rightly divide what is already written. If you remove man's speculation, assumption, conjecture, opinion and flat out lies... the rapture concept vanishes...Poof! Amazing the deceptive words coined in order to present the false narrative, "rapture","second coming","tribulation saints", "fig tree generation","church age","age of grace", etc.... so much deception Peter tells us that those who twist Paul's teaching on the matter do so with all of Scripture and then he calls them "wicked" and tells us not to fall from our own steadfastness.... 2 Peter 3:15-17
