Welcome to Peterson Family Farm. On this UA-cam channel, we plan to show viewers what happens on a real life family farm in Kansas. From working with animals, to planting seeds, to harvesting grain, to putting up hay, to fixing equipment, you'll get to see what farming is like! Our farm is a 5th generation farm started in 1882 by our great great grandparents. We grow wheat, corn, soybeans, milo, sunflowers, and forages and we feed about 1,000 head of cattle. To learn more about it, watch our channel intro video here: • Welcome to Our New You...

Great video! I’m able to recycle all my manure on my small homestead.....you’re so right about weed seeds, though. I’ve experimented with different blends of dirt/compost. The manure is by far the greatest producer! All the best!

Thanks for another great video. Know this is a busy time for all of you with the farm and doing shows. Keeps you all busy. Seems takes time to spread and load and scrape manure. Just a time consuming project. Seems when we did it always took longer than planned. interesting how you load from the yard and truck to the field and then load spreaders in the field to spread. We used to load in the yard and go directly to field and then back to the yard. Each to their own on what works best. Sounds like all of you have been busy with speaking engagements. Good for all of you. Chopping corn coming next I guess. Busy time. Thanks for the video and looking forward to the next video. Appreciate your time to do the video so we can follow along. You all take care and be safe. God bless all of you. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.

Load more than one truck at a time to save time and fuel on the loader. Can’t you get more manure from the feedlots. What is composed manure ? The old spreader doesn’t look like it spreads very well.

It might sound odd, but I actually kind of like the smell of cow manure. Growing up on our few acres I remember getting pickup truck loads of manure from a dairy farm and my job was to "throw it out" with a shovel as a child.

When my dad raised hogs we spread manure on the oat ground after harvest and baling. When we didn’t have oats any more we stock piled it and spread it out on the soybean ground after harvest in September or October and worked it in

After watching a great number of your videos, I can say you men are very efficient and swift in the farm chores that you do! I know I'd be looking forward to especially get this one over with as soon as possible, as it's probably as crappy and smelly as they come!! Love the footage anyway!

I don't know I'm pretty good with a loader, especially a skid loader, so I think I'd give your dad a run for his money, lol. Too bad we didn't have a farm Olympics, to test our skills, backing wagons, and semi's thru a course, bale stacking, skid loader skills, and things like that, would be a lot of fun, just finding the time would be a issue, to hold something like that over a span of days, for most of us.

Tell your dad to bring it I move so fast the loader can't keep up 🤣but I bet it would be about the same once you have loaded buckets and bales for over 20yrs years you get better at the loader then walking we have beaten a bale trailer just because I can load and unload faster than they can get loaded so them dropping the bales and then putting them in the barn didn't help any great video
