The Peterson Farm Bros are made up of Greg (33), Nathan (30), and Kendal (27) Peterson. We are 5th generation family farmers who farm together in Kansas with our parents David and Marla and our wives BrookeAnna (Greg's), Riley (Nathan's) and Caelan (Kendal's). This channel is full of videos about our family farm and what we do to take care of animals and grow crops. Our videos range from our entertaining parodies, to our hilarious comedy videos, to our informational vlogs. It is our hope that these videos will give everyone who watches them a better understanding of what a real family farm looks like. We try to be as honest and upfront as possible in our videos and our posts and hope that viewers will realize how much hard work goes into farming. With over 250 million video views on social media, you don't want to miss out! Thanks for taking the time to share this video with us
That is a amazing chopper. That’s a lot of tonnage it’s eating
Great video guys that’s a bummer about hitting metal with your chopper.
Nice shot of the camera showing the clouds moving across the field while you’re chopping
Prayers for rain and safe conditions!
Farmers know how to fix anything
Demoed a 4580 baler, 3 years ago after seeing Bruce demo one for you guys, 3 years later 5000 bales on it no issues at all, and nice square shouldered bales every time and not a loose bale in the field yet, net goes on every time👌
Love it!!
Spent many hours working on those Valley pivots. 20 yrs since I've been in side one of those boxes and knew all the parts you would have to replace.
Awesome video guys.thank you
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO GUY'S 😊
Rain 8:00 Goshen, Ind. ⛈⛈🌧 "Farmer" . Thank you. (Digger)
We got 4.25 inches of rain 🌧 here in Kanopolis on Sunday. Made my daughter's graduation party end quickly with a tornado 🌪 watch issued. I hope you guys got some of that storm to fill your ponds. Great video 📹 👍
Glad to see you're getting some great food for the cows. Are you going to graze the field you chopped clean up some of the stuff that got left.
No it will be planted to soybeans next week.
i iove you guys
All good!
New drinking game.
Every time someone says Triticale, take a shot.
You’re going to be hammered by the end of the video.
Lol, give them props for being specific! 😂🍻
we did wheat harvest
you look good out there
Hi 👋🏻
Have you ever run an analysis of cost/ benefits of custom chopping? That Claas is really making some fast tonnage, and any breakdowns are on the custom operation's $. Doing everything yourself is great, until it's not. Great video, I love your content!
Problem with custom chopping is you operate on their schedule. Most people want to chop at the same time.
@@nikphoenix Yeah, I know. But compared to the $ of a later model used (probably worn out) chopper, and the general maintenance even on the paid for chopper, it's a very close call. I was just curious if they had considered it. Sounds like they might need a fully new set of knives, and that won't be cheap.
We like having our own chopper for the timeliness of it, but you are correct in that you have to factor in time and energy for repairs and maintenance along with cost of owning the machine. What's nice is we already own the trucks and tractor for other reasons, so the chopper is the only added cost. We will likely either upgrade our chopper or switch to having more custom work done for us (as we already have been doing).
@@PetersonFarmBros Going to see a lot of bigger units traded in as more companies produce engines high enough HP to be DEF free.
