Also the SOS has different start times and intensities.
For example, in Medoh, the SOS doesn't start immediately, but when it does, it's *Panicked.* Because Revali was prideful, and tried to fend the blight off on his own. But when he couldn't, he grew desperate, and called.
There's also a secondary morse code. SAD. Seek and Destroy. This one always starts immediately, with the same intensity.
The Blights appeared, and are aiming to kill.
I like the idea that morse code is canon to the Zelda universe.
It also eventually goes to D, which is just Destroy..
@@Shadonicus0652 they found them
Also Mipha’s SOS morse code occurs almost immediately. Cause she knew she needed Link’s help and was scared faster than anyone else
@@Shadonicus0652🤨
I just now realize how dark this game is. The fact the champions tried to call for help makes me feel something I've never felt before, sad can't even describe that
Wanna know something even darker? Mipha didn’t even get to fight Waterblight Ganon. The sos call came quickly and all Mipha did was stay in fear and freezed (Not ice freeze. Fear freeze) and stand as Waterblight’s spear go through her.
@@Elden-Bearrewatching the AoC cutscene, she did fight for a while
I feel you, it’s full despair
Same. It’s a weird feeling. I feel kind of sadness, but more like fear… idk why tho…
@@supranova1AoC isn’t canon
It’s so hard to hear medoh’s because of how fast it goes, showing how fucking mortified revali was when he wasn’t better than his enemy
when you understand this hidden meaning you can just *hear* the desperation. its amazing and unsettling at the same time
And Also, because the personality of Revali, Medoh's S.O.S message is the one who takes more time to appear, but when Revali realizes that he can't do anything, but ANYTHING, the S.O.S appears but faster, because he is desperated.
revali probably also sent it so rapidly is because he knew that he WAS going to die if link didn't come and it hurts to think about.....
@@strwberriem5306 yeah, I hated him in all his scene appearence, but when I saw the meaning of that Morse Code S.O.S and the desperation that he had, I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him.
Why did I laugh at the mortified part XD
I don't know why, but I find this kind of haunting. It's like even the Sheikah knew this Divine Beasts weren't unstoppable, and perhaps added this SOS to communicate with the Guardians and other Sheikah constructs. But their call will go unanswered.
Vah Ruta’s is heartbreaking because Mipha is so unsure of herself that the SOS itself is steady slow and faint and as the danger increases you can hear her desperation in the steady speed up of her SOS becoming faster😢
sadly the game outright says mipha died to waterblight and never even got to FIGHT water blight
Yeah, she was at a disadvantage as well. There wasn’t any water when she was fighting, and Waterblight was intercepting her SOS signal, so no reinforcements were able to arrive even when she was desperately calling.
Unfortunately, she was pummeled to death by Waterblight’s cryonis attacks before she was able to fight back.
On the right ear there's a different signal. It plays SAD
So sad!😢
Poor girl...
Ruta told me all about it once we got to our new non-hyrule home, and we shared our experiences
I noticed something. The SAD signal keeps cancelling Revalis SOS signal.
This is likely due to communication being cut of by other champions and the SAD signal. So thats one way to lose horrendously.
Probably because Revali was the last to die, so there was no one to respond to his call
Also another code that never gets mentioned but plays throughout the entire theme in every Beast is S.A.D. or “Seek/Search And Destroy” which is most likely the commands that the Blights intercept from Calamity Ganon. Unnervingly, both broadcasts will match each other when the SOS signal ceases from the Champions. My theory is that, since the Blights are so much similar to the Champions, they *are* the Champions. Or rather the empty husks of them. The souls of the Champions are freed from their flesh, we actually hear their disembodied voices in Breath of the Wild while inside and conquering the Divine Beasts, but what happened to their bodies? Personally, everything points to their mortal bodies being consumed by Ganon and corrupted by malice, just like the Divine Beasts they once reigned, so he could recycle them, like Stalkoblins, to defend the Divine Beasts from Link until Ganon’s full form was achieved.
this would make sense if they didnt tell you that they died fighting the blights 100 years ago before the boss battles start
@@pepo6249 honestly bro, Nintendo forcefed the main plot in this game unfortunately
The Divine Beasts, unlike the Guardians, need to be piloted. And the only people who knew how to pilot em were the Champions, so the Blights taking over their bodies makes sense. We never see the actual corpses(or a skeleton) of the Champions inside the Divine Beasts. Cuz just look at the Blights themselves. They look so similar to the Champions, i first noticed the similarities between Daruk and Fireblight, and Urbosa and Thunderblight. Then later on, the others too, the way they use their (blight?) powers are so similar to how the Champions attack and stuff.
And i believe Revali had poor nightvision, so he suffered the worst out of them all. He literally couldn't see his enemy properly to fight.
Nah that theory was beaten by age of calamity where you see that the blights already looked like they did 100y later, so there was no further adons to the blights
@@damx5760 was AoC canon though 🤔
I thought it was just like an alternate ending thing
The Vah Ruta theme was the most scary
Yeah
She was probably the most scared one
I find an extra layer of fear in how the 2 different codes in the track interact. The seek and destroy responds to her calls, and gets closer and closer each time until it overpowers her, like it's chased her down 😭
@@maxatlas7786 I would assume so because as much as mipha is a fighter, she’s more of a healer im not downgrading her but her powers are more of the healing type which shows how scared she was😭💕 the champions didn’t deserve that datr
Fate**
There’s a theory that how late in the theme it is is the order the champions died or at least sent the signal
Revali is last as he was the farthest and his pride would not let him ask for help
its not so much a theory but more so proven.
Vah Rudania, the SOS starts before the music. Daruk is first.
Vah Ruta, the SOS starts after an instrumental fade in.
Mipha is second.
Vah Naboris, the SOS starts after a crash.
Urbosa is third.
Vah Medoh, the SOS is the latest, as you mentioned, it starts 16 seconds into Medoh’s theme.
Revali is last.
His pride did not allow him to call sooner, as you also mentioned. But he also was fighting in the darkness, probably arriving at dusk to his Divine Beast. Rito have horrible night vision. He was practically blinded against his enemy.
@@skateboardsquid that makes sense how expert marksman got sh*t on
@@skateboardsquid mipha. she was the most caring champion.
Can't fully make out what is counted as a ding but I think Rudiania is the clearest
Vah Nuboris is the hardest to he probably cause she was the most active in battle 😢
What do you mean
@@anthonywright556the champions have different personalities.
Vah Naboris is urbosas beast. Urbosa was the type to keep fighting and stay active in battle instead of giving or or hiding.
Vah Ruta is Miphas beast. Her personality was very persistent, but needed to pause for a moment. She probably took a second to make the signal and then went back to battle, and the reason hers is so clear is because she took time to make the signal.
Vah rudania is Daruks beast. Daruk had probably distracted fireblight Ganon for a moment to send the signal, so that’s why it’s a little bit clear.
Vah Medoh is Revalis beast. Revali liked to do things alone, so that is why his signal is at the end of the theme, because of pride.
@@scarlett.yuhhhh dont forget that thunderblight is the most persistent constantly danshing in to attack which would make it hard to stop and do a signal meaning Urbosa most likely had to fight while signaling
@@anthonywright556From all blights Thunderblight Ganon was the most active like you have Offensive and Defensive. Thunderblight was more offensive because he was constantly attacking Urbosa while Waterblight was more defensive because he was more waiting for Mipha to attack him. Urbosa most likely struggled because she used all her energy because he was constantly attacking making Thunderblight the hardest. Also alot of players say Thunderblight was the most annoying one because you needed to time dodging him to attack him basically
Yeah, lines up to what she told me
Vah Medoh’s SOS is fast and panicked, and starts later in the song, indicating that Revali was panicking when he sent the distress signal. Vah Ruta’s is slow, which I interpreted as Mipha sent it after being injured by Waterblight. Vah Naboris’s sos starts around the middle of the song and is also quite quick, being barely slower than Revali’s, also indicating panic. And Vah Rudania’s is also quite slow, which could indicate that Daruk had been injured.
Edit:
You can also hear a S.A.D (Seek And Destroy) signal in the themes, which are likely being sent to the blights from calamity Ganon. Hauntingly, later in the songs, the S.O.S signals stop for a bit and then start back up again. This probably means that the blights are either mimicking their champions after they have been killed and sending out the S.O.S signals like the champions did. *Or,* (and what I personally believe) the blights may have absorbed their champions (there are several theories that explain this much better than me) and that the S.O.S signals later in the songs are still from the champions, just after they have been absorbed.
What a dark game.
Edit 2 (I’m an idiot) the S.A.D signals start at the very beginning of the themes, not anywhere else.
It's a lot easier to hear in Vah Rudania's theme, because it's incorporated into the entire track.
I never thought of it before and really listened in but now that I have it make so much sense, I always thought it was just techy type beeps to add to atmosphere and now that I’m hearing it it is so sad.
Vah naboris sounds creepy as hell 💀
ikr
Vah Ruta bro 💀
This proves that when times went bad they had to call for help using sos morse code in the cockpit of the beasts before thwy died by the beasts themselves
this is disturbing
Fr bc i cant stop thinking about the fact that there was a point where they realized they are going to die, and in a desperate attempt to not do so they sent out a help message that was left unanswered
the DETAIL that goes into this game always seems to amaze me
This makes me feel like I'm deaf
Lol same
Same I had to put the phone up to my ear to here it lmao
Dude same!!!! I can't hear it at all!!! 😭😭😭
I have been trying 10 times a day for the past week still cant find one
I thought i was the only one
Apparently their is a theory that in the Vah Naboris song when you are getting the things to activate the fight, the random shocks in the music (when the music randomly gets loud) it represents Urbosa getting electrocuted
This game is dark
@@user-fy6tt1uy4v Yup
Yeah but that is why we love it
Vah Ruta is easiest to hear honestly
This is very sad 😢. I couldn't really hear it in Vah Naboris but all of the detail is very appreciated because it makes the game make sense
That is actually sad…
(Yes I left a tear on this)
I think it may be some kind of distress signal from the remaining uncorrupted systems
I think it's the pilot last attempt of sending out SOS before they perished... Zelda is dark sometimes, so that is not tooo far-fetched.
Headphones makes it easier to hear
Yup, this!
I am wearing headphones it really does make it easier
ALL the Zelda games are extremely Dark but the dark tones are subtle and hidden. Nintendo are MASTERS at using the players own age and "innocence" to give the player a completely different experience. As a kid these games are like cool wondrous Studio Ghibli movies yet when played it again as an adult you realise it's super dark in a impactful way that completely changes how you look at each game! It's like you find out you best friend since childhood has been arrested for multiple murders and you refuse to believe it cause their your bestfriend and you know they would never do a thing like that, but then all of a sudden, The story of what they are telling; something seems not quite right with it, you start remembering how all your pets use to go missing when you were a kid and it all fits! You are just traumatised now looking the same face you grew up with that you realised you never actually knew!
And THATS a Zelda Game in a nutshell. ALL of the Zelda games are like this play with you are 6 - 10 and the play them again in your 20s and properly able to pay attention, it might as well be a SoulsBourne game, This is why Zelda games are so damn good!
i've taken music theory classes and classically trained, how can i still not hear it even when it's being pointed out
Welp, sounds like a skill... mishap! I suggest using some headphones, it is easy to miss.
the only one decently easy to hear is ruta's
At this point, I think my hearing is already too far gone to hear musical easter eggs like this...
The other beeping you can maybe hear (it’s easier if you have headphones) is … . - - - .. , which stands for SAD, or Search And Destroy. You can literally hear the battle between the champions and the blights in the beeping. It’s the clearest in revali’s, but present in all of them.
It’s hard to hear because it’s sometimes interrupted buy an *SAD* signal
••• •- - ••
Theres also a SAD morse code
Search and destroy
which most likely represents the blight(s) going after their respected champion :
@@strwberriem5306it's probably Calamity Ganon's command to find the Champions.
It amazes me that you not even explore the whole world but also the hidden secret of the songs. Man this blows my mind. This game is a masterpiece. Incredible what brainpower went into the game.
It is incredibly sad/dark that you can hear all these distress signals in the divine beasts. I gotta do them sometime again to hear them. I was heartbroken when I learned this, especially when I heard it for the Vah Ruta one, as Mipha was my favorite individual in all the Zelda series, and she still is.
I just discover this fact like 2 years ago but since I know it it’s give me chills and I’m so scared of the themes I use Morse code sometimes to write down my journals and I felt oppressed by the divine beast themes this is probably bc of that
But no one came to help 😞
Link did

What I love about Medoh's theme is that it tells so much about Revali
All the other champions's SOS's come in right away, and are consistent.
Revali's comes in later, and it's super frantic. It changes pitch and overlaps a bunch, which to me says this:
He was too ambitious. He didn't want to ask for help, he's the best of the best, *THE* Rito warrior. But, then, he realizes it's not going well, and that he's legitimately in danger. And he freaks the fuck out. He has nobody to help him, maybe nobody that *wants* to help him. Maybe by then, he realised all the other champions fell to their blights already, and he was doomed to follow. Maybe he knew, but he still died alone and afraid.
I love Breath of the Wild
I can hear it the best in Ruta and Medoh
I think Mipha Died First, and Revail Died Second, And Daruk Died Third, and Urbosa Died Last, It’s Because of their personality and Urbosa is the strongest out of all of the champions
So that’s why Urbosa Died Last, and Mipha Died First because she is the weakest out of all of the champions that’s why you can hear the SOS signal very early at Mipha’s Divine Beast, So that’s my Theory.
Daruk’s starts before the music! He is the first :]
Then it’s Mipha, the SOS starts after an instrumental fade in.
Then Urbosa, the SOS starts after a crash.
Then Revali, his starts the latest at 16 seconds into the theme. He was however also the last to arrive to his Divine Beast. Though he is also the most prideful, he neglects to send a signal until late. It is dark as he fights, Rito have poor night vision, the fight was tipped in the Blight’s favor from the beginning. He realizes he has no chance at winning which is why even though his signal is the latest, it’s also the most panicked sounding one.
There’s really no way to tell how long they all would have lasted if they started fighting at the exact same time. I honestly think it would probably go similar to what you said but slightly altered.
I think Mipha would have been first, then Daruk, then Urbosa, and still Revali. I may hate the character but he has a reason to be smug. If fighting during the day I can imagine he’d probably last longer against Windblight.
I guess this based on the location they died.
Daruk dies against the wall, Mipha in the side chamber, Urbosa upstairs, and Revali midair.
I read something saying that Daruk was slung into the wall, he used his shield but was still winded from the force, he is killed there.
Mipha is attacked from behind or something, she dies at the controls (if so her body is flung to the side) or in the side chamber.
Urbosa is forced away from the controls during the fight and dies as fatigue sets in.
Revali is shot while in the air.
Where do u get all this information from?
@@buizelmeme6288
it's all just info taken from when all four champions released their s.o.s codes, also, someone did upload an image of the route the champions would take to get back to their divine beasts, and mipha/daruk would've been either the first or one of the first to die. especially since both daruk and mipha start sending out s.o.s signals almost immediately.
revali doesn't send his s.o.s signal till about 15~ seconds into the vah medoh theme, so it's rumored he might very been the last one to die because of it
Vah naboris is the easiest to hear
For me the hardest
@@mrs.random7925 same
I don’t really hear it 😢
Try it with headphones! I've tried to boost it as much as possible. Just listen for dings.
The poor Champions...
Daruk and Urbosa's SOS seems really proper according to their style, considering both seems like they would ask for help when necessary
Especially Daruk when Rudania's theme is so obviously more SOS than SAD
Ruta's one just gives me the SADs...
That's so haunting
The lore makes this fact HORRIFYING
Help has come.
I didn't realize that but now I do and now I'm even sadder.
So I had to take my headphones out for this but I think I maybe got it: medoh- tiny bit of resonance in the back, ruta- electronic sound that starts right before the dramatic piano, naboris- piano, rudania- again tiny little electronic sounds in the back. I honestly thing ruta's is the easiest to catch on to because it starts distinctly before the more dramatic parts do
(if I'm wrong on any of these please correct me)
I knew there was, but hearing how frantic Vah Ruta’s is playing immediately, makes the moment feel much more impactful.
It's amazing how Zelda games have so many interesting details like these. A wonderful and very well planned game ✨
It’s easiest to hear on Ruta and Medoh, I think
First are we not gonna talk about the people who wrot a 5 paragraph essay
Second: if thats not scary then i don't know what is
I'm already sad as it is about the champions in BOTW this makes it even more heartbreaking
I can't hear it... It almost feels like reaching, because none of them sound like 3, 3, 3. But I could be deaf
Sometimes u can also hear an sad signal
I don't hear anything.
it's the dings, not the pianos
Two things:
1. When the hell did these play? I never heard them and I played that for like 100 hours.
2. Why are they so DAMN CREEPY?! Like, I know why, but listening to these songs makes me scared.
Well now I'm just sad
It’s actually kind of sad
There’s one for search and destroy which is likely radio interference from the blights
If you listen close enough and wait for the sos to end you can hear a sad signal? Its the blights searching for the champions and then if you eait longer you can hear a pure destriy signal?
Sad stands for search and destroy btw
Vah medoh theme absolutely slaps
BotW is such an amazing game.
Vah rudan vah ruta and vah naboris were very creepy
1. I can't hear it
2. omg the themes (especially naboris) are creepy as hell
But think of this: Revalis happened later than all of them and when they sent them was when they were gonna die SO Revali fought of the blight for the longest and all the others died at the start
while it is true his was sent last, he was also the last to arrive to his Divine Beast.
Vah Rudania, the SOS starts before the music. Daruk is the first to call.
Vah Ruta, the SOS starts after an instrumental fade in.
Mipha is the second.
Vah Naboris, the SOS starts after a crash.
Urbosa is the third.
Vah Medoh, the SOS is the latest, as you mentioned, it starts 16 seconds into Medoh’s theme.
Revali is the last.
His pride did not allow him to call sooner. He was also fighting in the darkness, probably arriving at dusk to his Divine Beast. Rito have horrible night vision. He was practically blinded against his enemy. He stood no chance and he realized that, which is why his sounds the most panicked. He was shot midair in his battle, this is proven by him flying down in BOTW after you defeat the WindBlight.
[Daruk dies against the wall, his ghost walks up from behind. Urbosa dies upstairs, her ghost comes down the stairs. Mipha either dies in the side of the chamber or her body is flung that way, her ghost comes in from the side.]
You don’t need night vision bro, sheikah tech and even the blighted version glows, and if Revali can loose arrows as fast as a gale then he could have shot a ton of arrows into Windblight’s eye before it could aim a shot, and the blights can’t just disable the eye glow they aren’t inactive, they are active corruptions of sheikah tech and malice with commands to Seek and Destroy
Vah naboris is so quite 😢
That’s super creepy
Now after hearing this i just want to give my powers back to the.😢
