Divine Beast Vah Ruta still scares me man. Idk why I can't quite explain it. Being in the middle of the lake. The sound it makes. Just gives me the heebie geebies.
It could be the story implication too, i think if i remember correctly, this was the divine beast that if left unchecked would flood the world with the constant rain.
I was gonna say that. When I played, I had to turn down the volume because the sound it made every time I moved its trunk left me with irrational fear.
I really wish we could have gotten to explore like ruined versions of the divine beasts in totk, covered in gloom, Sheika tech destroyed, a few barely functioning guardian systems struggling to even swing their broken down weapons at you, the last of the true guardians, technically on your side as they attempt to fight of gloom hands that easily tear them apart. Genuinely the worst part of totk is they got rid of all sheika tech and just pretended it didn’t exist
That was definitely a part of TotK I didn't like. Which was weird, because you'd think the game would benefit from some connectivity to BotW, but for some reason, they feel like two totally different worlds. Sad.
is it weird how Vah ruta only has a barrier that sends you flying, maybe its cuz they never thought anyone would reach the others, but you can reach ruta by jumping off of polymous mountain so, maybe thats why? Idk
@@lokotro019if you use rubber armor to gain shock immunity, the lightning still wrecks you. I haven't tried reaching Vah Rudonia while fireproof though.

I remember trying to get to ruta on my own when the game first came out, as my first divine beast Jesus christ that scared me so bad I didn’t deviate from the plot path until I was sure it was fine
I remember a few years ago when I enter the Gerudo Desert, I decided to check that dusty are to the right were the Divine Beast Vah Naboris was, thinking to myself "You can find it here? No way.", but then the mere moment that the Divine Beast Vah Naboris came up and started charging its lighting strike, I was like "Crap!" and immediately teleported away. While The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is not one of the best Zelda games out there, I really do like the since of atmosphere and power these Divine Beast have, it's a shame that we don't have anything like that in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
I hope that in the next Zelda game, you don't need to activate the dungeons, it would be much more cool if you could just find it and go there, even o TOTK you can't access the dungeons before you do a few side quests.
