Should have done it in the same location, this would have made a good comparison, but its out of the window due to slope so its just an indicator instead of an exact, but the whole point of using a draggy is to get the exact stuff.
The biggest issue with the VXR is getting that power down. But I don’t think it’s possible without LSD and other bits. My VXR is stage 1 tuned and will be testing the 0-60 this weekend
@@jpkmotors4336 I completely agree about getting the power down, but I have an Astra h VXR and I'm fairly sure they are factory fitted with an LSD. What 'other bits' do you mean? Mine is completely standard and still does 6.3 seconds in the dry after swapping the front and rear tyres around, and 85,000ish miles.
Andy asdf the VXR H does not have a LSD as standard but apparently makes a massive difference. And dropping a second off the 60 times is a lot. I spend £1000 making my Camaro drop 0.2 In the 60ft 😂
@@andyasdf2078 I have a stage 2 290bhp vxr and in the dry can do mybe 5.2-5.4 sec depending on grip and gear change but to hit the 5 I'd say you will be looking a stage 3 maybe 3+ with lsd and some sticky tyres. Like the draggy shows these cars excell but more in 3rd gear up due to getting the power down plus they are limited on boost in 1st +2nd due to the torque being to much for the m32 gearbox.still pretty impressive against a evo
@@darrenmicklewright2008 yeah even at standard power you can easily notice the torque limiter in 1st and 2nd. Is there any way to remove it btw Either way the mk5 Astra is so aerodynamic I reckon if it was 4wd it would beat even a stage 1 evo
@@jpkmotors4336 i will do.. I'm going to get some decent tyres at the start of summer and look for one of them grippy roads so I can see what she does..
very interesting video📽Thanks for sharing
Be safe out there 🙏
Nice one. Been wanting to see an arctic with the maxton design splitter and skirts. Gonna purchase soon. Easy to fit?

A cheap, basic stage 1 remap on that VXR and it would happily do 5 seconds 0-60 in the dry

There is something quite wrong surely... 28 seconds! My evo 6 with 410bhp did dragy 60-130 in 10.3 secs.
Funny enough I’m just messing with the Evo today and we’ll think I found the problem

philevo400 yes and no. There will be a video of part 2 but it’s broken again
Sure that vxr isn’t mapped ?
Why not do 100-200kmh runs? Makes me realise my 5.2 seconds is ridiculously fast 😂
60-130mph is close enough to 100-200kph🤷♂️
@@jpkmotors4336 it is, but 100-200 is the most common one to time, a lot more things to compare to

Very true. Have to let me know what time you get when it’s dry
