I totally agree, we should have open discussions. I respect the mindset you have towards fiqhi matters. I think more needs to be discussed on creed. What aspects of Muhammad Ibn Wahhabs opinions do you disagree with? Do you believe salafis have committed shirk or Bidah since u wouldn't pray behind them
Go to sleep mate. The lion of the ahlassunah shaykh asrar rashid schooled the pseudo salafis in the istigatha debate. They don’t even have a coherent definition of shirk. Abdur rahman Hassan was dumbstruck and couldn’t even answer if shirk is muhaal aqlan or Muhaal shar’an 🤣🤣💀

@@Ilmmm It [Wahhabism*] was a movement that was innovated about 250 years ago by a man named Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab. He and his followers deemed the Muslims in general to be pagans. As a result of that claim, he regarded it an act of worship to kill the Muslims. They sent an army from the region of Najd and occupied Hijaaz (western Arabia). While there, they slaughtered the Muslims in Taa'if, ransacked the Masjid of the Prophet, and terrorized the people of Mecca (this was in the early 1800's). Eventually, the Sunnis repulsed them, but after WW I, with the help of the British, the Wahhabi-Saudi regime came to power. When they found petrol in Saudi in the 1930's, the Wahhabis became very wealthy and spread their fitnah by way of their propaganda and institutions, while pretending to be "Sunni Muslims." *The Wahhabis typically don't call themselves "Wahhabis," but refer to themselves as "Salafis." The SUNNIS don't call these people "Salafis" (nor do we consider them a sect of "Sunnis"). Rather, we know them to be object worshipers who pray to an (imaginary) being located beneath Prophet `Isaa (Jesus). Just as the person who prays to cow, or fire, or Fard Muhammad cannot be regarded as a Muslim--even if he calls his object of worship "Allah" (a`udhu billah)--likewise, the one who prays to an entity in a place or a direction can't be regarded as a "Muslim." Allah is the CREATOR of direction and place, and Allah exists without being inside of, below, above, or adjacent to a direction or place. Chances are if the person denies that there are Wahhabis, then there is a HIGH PROBABILITY that such a person himself is a Wahhabi (or just an ignoramus).
Salaam. Not to cause any Fitnah but isn’t it a bit dangerous to claim that you are the only Sunnis simply because you celebrate Mawlid? In Bradford alone, half of the sunni population do not celebrate mawlid, does this mean all these people and not Sunni? Also, you talk a lot about chains and having chains of narrations, but every group claims this and every group has proven this? I just think Imam Saab is indirectly causing more division even though he means not to. There are Sunni Muslims watching this too who do not celebrate mawlid and hold the same beliefs as Rada Khan, like me. I watch your podcast because even though I do not agree on certain things, we still agree on 95% things which we should focus on and I still learn a lot from Imam Saab, even though I come from a deobandi Sunni family.
U never got his point. Celebrating the mawlid today has became a sign of ahle sunnah . This doesn't necessarily mean that person who doesn't do mawlid is not a sunni rather it is an indication that the person who does mawlid is probably a sunni
@@muslim-g1x ah ok that makes sense. It just comes across that they are indirectly looking at others like they aren’t part of AhlusSunnah simply because a couple of beliefs are different to theirs. The majority of the Sunni world love sheikh Ibn Taymiyyahs work and regard him as a great scholar, even though he was not perfect. Then again no scholar was perfect, even the ones from Sufi backgrounds. So when they are talking bad about Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah, just imagine how many people who love his work must feel.
@@muslim-g1x I dont get it. The ones who celebrate the mawlid from my experience do not even follow the sunnah. Asalamualaikum wrwb I hope you're well. I ascribe to the Atthari school and I follow the Hanbali school of thought. I do not follow Muhammad Ibn Wahab like many Salafis but do ascribe to many teachings of Ibn Taymiyyah I have listened to your full podcast and previous lectures however I am not convinced by everything which has been said by yourselves. As Muslims shouldn't we all strive to follow the Quran and Sunnah as practised by the Prophet SAW, the Khulafa and the Salaf? I have studied under deobandis, barelvis and Salafis but I have never seen any convincing evidence for Mawlid and Istigatha. I have not found any evidence of the Salaf celebrating Mawlid, having a peer or using Istigatha (calling upon the dead) The evidences you have provided previously I feel is being misinterpreted and the interpretation you have is far fetched and it is difficult to follow your usool. Based on your previous lectures you talk much but there is no substance to your evidences. Please provide a consice explanation of these matters if possible. May Allah guide us all.
The main dispute with us regarding the followers of ibn taymiyah is that ibn taymiyah took a literal interpretation of the mutshabiat verses and started to liken Allah to his creation
Regarding mawlid this is a lafzi dispute as all people agree having a gathering discussing life of prophet in particular his birth is good . A peer is just a spiritual guide. Istighasa is only problem if u consider it shirk akbar
@@muslim-g1x Ibn Taymiyyahs followers are accused of anthropomorphism but its untrue. When Allah says he has a hand and face we do not liken it to the creation. Rather we accept what the verse states and we don't do taweel of certain verses as only Allah knows there true reality.
@@Ilmmm regarding your question about "hand" NONE of the Salaf spoke English. So NONE of the Salaf said Allah has a H-A-N-D. This is an innovation. What the Salaf typically did is affirm the Attributes of Allah, such as, `Ayn, Wajh, Yad, etc.--IN THE ARABIC LANGUAGE--understanding that these ARABIC terms have multiple meanings, AND they understood that Allah REALLY does not need or resemble the creations. Hence, Allah isn't some sort of entity occupying space or dwelling in a direction. It is absurd to claim that Allah has a LITERAL H-A-N-D--and then claim that this literal h-a-n-d is not a body part (i.e., organ of grasping). If the person means Allah has a body part, then he has committed tajseem (the belief Allah is a body--this is kufr). If he does not mean Allah has a literal organ of grasping, then he is not taking the literal meaning of "hand." He must mean something else. If he means something else, but does not know the appropriate meaning of Yad (not, hand) in reference to Allah, then he should just be silent. If he means for Yad a befitting meaning for Allah (which could not possibly mean the "organ of grasping--because Allah is not some sort of body and does not resemble the creations), then he has (rightfully) made ta'weel.
