Great video, I really enjoyed the demo. Now I am even less satisfied with my home built press. 😄
Thanks so much John! That's high praise coming from you as we've been big fans of your work and videos. Honestly if you'd ever like a press of ours we'd love to get one into your shop easily! Reach out to us via email at: info@coaliron.com if you'd ever like to pull the trigger. And we'd seriously love to do some sort of collaborative video with you, even if you don't have one of our presses!
David - Good to see you! I hope you have success in this endeavor. To those that do not know, David really is what he appears to be. He is a good man, and a talented and passionate craftsperson. Thanks for introducing me to Benton's work, too.
Nice to see someone else using a single burner! Very underrated, you can forge some large work with only 1 burner, and save fuel costs while doing so!
Awesome tutorial on axe making! I love watching people forge axes
Lucky man that owns that incredible axe!
This is great, guys! Really well laid out, nicely explained and presented. Bravo!
Wow. Great video. Loved seeing the entire process
Great job! It's hard to find step by step! great info! Thank you!
nice clear explanation, appreciate laying out tools needed and why, step by step. already 10 min in learned several key points, like starting the drift from the opposite side of where you started the punch. looking forward to this series. thanks CIW and Benton!
Thanks man! Great video
Wow! Great video! Well done
Go Benton! Very cool
I enjoyed this a ton.
We're glad you're enjoying it! You've also got the rare opportunity to live it! Benton is putting on a 4 day long "Axe Intensive" at the Coal School of Iron this June! Details at coalschool.com
