What you have is a B61 MACK that has a 6 Cylinder Thermodine with the Quadroplex 5x4 gearbox in a unitary housing. A quick suggestion for you is to look for the Airstart that you got as standard on the heavier MACKS . The suspension is a standard Tandem axle suspension known as the MACK Camel Back . Just to keep you entertained the MACK has 5 forward gears with reverse in the quad box giving you 5 Reverse gears.
I used to work construction, our haul trucks were 2 old B61 Mack's. I spent so much time in those trucks. Love seeing old B model Mack's. Love the Pete cab over. That is a sweet rig.
My Dad had a demolition business back in the 70's and the Mack B Model was his choice of Truck. This brings back some memories going to work with him and driving in the side seat ( which was a small bench ) the entire day. Thank you for bringing back some really good memories.
Man I love b series Macks. First thing I thought was get it sorted mechanically but not paint it. Glad you said that. It looks so cool. New Interior and mechanical systems and preservation of the exterior. My 2 cents. Leave the dent in my humble opinion. This truck did work and should be back in service, even if just as a fun daily driver, showing off it's battle scars. Or fully restored. I don't know. That would be awesome too.
My wife and I are excited as hell to get a chance to win that absolutely beautiful 352! We love old iron! I've been driving old trucks for 27 years and love seeing people taking pride in and saving the ones that can be saved! The wife said if you end up not selling enough merch we can pay you what you lost if our name was pulled to keep you from taking a loss! We're looking for another working show truck that we can take to the truck show on Saturday and to church on Sunday!
I knew a older gentleman that had one of those B- 61's, he completely restored it, and man! Did it look pretty, he was hauling containers from the port of New Jersey and New York. He really had it all deck out! Very shinny, he ship it to Puerto Rico! And I think till this day, it is still running well. He also had a U model mack, and an R model, which he had them there , and is working all three trucks there. Now the B-61model one. He just uses it for parades, But yeah it's still running. Haven't heard from him since Covid, lost contact with him. So don't know if he's ok, or if he has pass, but most likely one of his family has them. It's all I know right now, but that truck was a beast pulling those containers like nothing, people wanted to buy it from him, so don't know if he sold it.
I have an DF 405 1958 International that was an oil field truck it has heavy ring like hitch in the front . It has a 671 for power a 4+4 trans solid rubber walking beam rear suspension and a chain driven Tulsa winch that has 11/2 cable double out rivers also a cage around it like this Mack and I can tell you that when you get 60 to 75 feet of cable pulled out you may want a another pair of hands to pull the other 50 feet or more off the drum
Clean it up good , then Clearcoat it . That things a Beast-O-Matic ! When they couldnt cut it chained up , using deep reduction out in the field , things were of a Dire Situation because they were called upon for help to sometimes. Then its the Calvary for help with Dozers and other HD Items to save the Bulldog. You know Aaron Tippin is an Old Mack Fan and Collector. Mostly Old Dumps and Construction types. Last I seen he had quite a fleet. Drove a couple decent COE when working over the years. That KW is awesome , I hope someone gets it and keep it like it is , to good to do a bunch of mods. Its way cooler as is.
Mack Camel Back suspension on your truck Bruce…..In 1963 I drove a 1958. B-61 hauling New Holland farm Machinery from PA. To Ontario Canada for Sindall Transport out of New Holland PA. Those are called shutters in the grill that open and close on the hills and cold weather.
A lot of the companies from the Northeast, the cab would be one color, and most times the front fenders were gloss black , also… some had diamond plate front fenders!! Cool rig !!
Bruce I grew up around Trucking. My Dad was a Truckdriver for 34yrs and he owned a Cabover Peterbilt I believe it was a 76 as well. Would LOVE TO HAVE IT and pay Homepage to my Dad
FRAC Tank companies use trucks similar to this today. Especially the rear end. Check out a local Rain For Rent location or United Rentals Pumo and Power location that handles Frac tanks. I’m sure the drivers would appreciate this truck. There are a ton of them sitting in the oil fields out west if you need parts. Lots of old trucks just sitting in the old oil fields especially around Bakersfield California North Dakota Montana south Dakota Wyoming Texas etc
Bruce, if you look at the back of the truck right there on each side where the holes are at was actually where Poles were up so they could actually use Poles like a windtruck.
I can't believe that give away truck isn't getting more people to buy merch if I was in the trucking business I would definitely enter. That truck is so nice it's classic American trucking. Baby blue collar did so well because it was such a popular truck of the channel.
Ive watched your stuff a while now. I dream of owning heavy equipment. My dad ran semis and my favorite was a mac he drove it wasnt a cab over though. I spent alot of my boyhood learning from him and i kept his trucks clean. I do favor cab overs i think they are way cool my father had a beautiful red and chrome KW that he went and bought new when i was about 10 and it stole the show in his fleet. I was sad as can be when he sold it all for economy reasons and poor health. He passed in 2010 and im 38 now. He left in my siblings and me a deep love of roaring engines and earning our way in life. Best believe Im picking up a few items from your shop brother.
Bruce you should offer the winner the option to thanks 20k or 25k cash instead and then if they take that option you could sell the cabover and not be at a loss on your end. Most places won't lease on a truck off that age and it's old enough to cause issues with insurance on a full on commercial rig. I think it would make a cool rv toter.
The Mack deserves to be restored and to be used as it should: as a truck, not a show horse. Besides, the Mack looks like is shows promise in driving and hauling things again. As for the peterbilt cab over, let's be honest Bruce, that truck is just way to cool to be given away. Heck, It would look good with you behind the wheel hauling equipment or parts with it. That would draw attention to your channel by a lot. Just saying my opinion, no hate here man.
Brother I bought a tee shirt and a hat and believe me it's identical to my dead grandfather's cabover Pete that was stolen after he died and cut up and parted out so I definitely want this truck
If u didn’t drive one u just don’t know how bad it could be these units was built before interstate high ways. U had to keep a blanket with u year round n summer to keep the heat off u and n winter to keep from freezing. Just saying be careful what u wish for top speed was 45-50 down hill
I really like old Mack trucks, when I was a kid, there were a lot of Mack F700s with two gearboxes, all over Western Europe where they needed a very long haul (eg from Europe to the Middle East, Iraq, Iran).
Ever think about keeping it looking original but making everything functional as it would have been? Putting he spare tire back on the roller working again and so on?
I would love to have that beautiful Cab over. It’s my dream truck. Only down fall is. I have an Automatic endorsement on my cdls. Only been driving since 9/11/2020
Id say, just make sure it runs good. Sand blast it, while keeping the damage. Paint it the original colors an use it as you see fit. Could put your name on the outside of the doors Bruce Wilson Shop an park it outside lol.
Love the Mack truck. Those trucks just make you think of the ultimate work horse . The drivers would get a work out just driving locally! Keep up the great work! What is the GCWR of the cab over giveaway?
I truly enjoy the videos hopefully you can include your Canadian friends in your next giveaway. I’d bring home the cab over with the biggest smile on my face crossing the border as you did when you were here a few months ago.
I love the cab overs and always have. They are the whole reason I started watching your channel. I just don’t have a CDL so I couldn’t use it for anything.
I would definitely participate to win the cab over if I could, but I guess it would cost a small fortune to ship it to Norway. If you at some point give away something smaller, that can be shipped worldwide, I'll buy myself a couple of t-shirts and hats. I promise! 😊
I would have placed more/bigger orders specifically for the giveaway but there’s just not enough merch on your website. I did see the “Buy Entries” but I’d much rather get something instead of just buying entries. Make stickers of the trucks/projects, more hat designs, more t-shirts. Just give the people some more options to choose from and I’d bet the orders would go better next time around! By no means is this hate just my two cents! Thanks for the truck content!
Your twin stick will be like an old tractor one for low low box mine for low box one for low high and high high then your other stick will be your gears
Doing giveaways is tuff in this economy is tuff. There's people struggling so as it is and can't afford to buy T-shirts or other goodies.. Brutus looks awesome!
Do the mack justice repaint that truck ring it back to its former glory, mack trucks were built to do what other trucks couldn't do and the twin stick in that truck gives it torque and power you can't get from a regular single stick, do it eight paint that mack
Dang "Brutus" just flat lit up!!! Well that stinks about hardly nobody has bought merch for "Easy Money". I call it that because if You remember You named the Red Scalia " Hank" cause You wanted an American Name for a Foreign Truck!!! I'm fixing to put in an order for a T shirt of Easy Money & a Large box!!! Have fun in Finland!!!
I'd like to see you guys put a way hotter engine in that rotator, maybe even something crazy like a scania v8, I know how slow they can be with a truck and trailer on the back!
I wouldn't Evan sand it down give a good wash and spray it with clear coat and that dent I would leave it gives it character and tells it's own unique story.
The reason why project blew collar. The cowboy were freightliner did so well because that's one of the trucks that started your UA-cam career. This Peter built a cool truck. Why did this don't have the fallon as the freightliner
Putting that rotater working aint no big deal I was born in a tow heavy wrecker and owned the biggest tow company here for 17yrs. I promise y’all all you gotta do is hire someone like me and move me down there or I’ll come down there for free and you just pay for my hotel and food and I promise I’ll show you how to get a towing company going. No bullshit, I’d bring my tools and my lifts when hired
Bruce, the cab over pete is cool... however, your give a way might of been more interesting if you went the "full" rest-o-mod route with a more updated motor ( pre eld N14 Cummins, Caterpillar or 12.7 Detroit for example ) and higher torque tranny than what it has now, with a fresh paint job , updated interior, etc. Especially seeing how it already has an updated rear cut off section, plus the add ons you've already done. Just an opinion, NOT a complaint Bruce. I remember going for rides in cab overs as a kid seeing how both my grandpa and my dad drove trucks which influenced me into getting into trucking back in 1997. I get the nostalgia of cab overs, save the classic, etc. Blue Collar was more modern, plus for me it was really the show piece truck of your channel in your earlier days which is why perhaps there was more interest in your first give a way. We all got to watch you "build" Blue Collar over the course of that journey in your older videos that included Blue Collar. I was born in 1975, meaning the current give a way truck is pushing that 50 year mark. She's more a of show truck or a collectors truck vs someone who'd be willing to work it everyday... not saying someone would not work that cab over, for example Steve at FSC Trucking working Orwell. Any winner of "Hank" the cab over, they'd have a hard time leasing it on to a company unless they had their own authority, knew someone who'd be willing to put a classic like that to work, or hauled private not for hire.
Love the old trucks, bring them back to life & honestly, I hope you fully restore one of them, one leave the patina & what not, it will make a nice contrast. As to the Peterbilt cabover, I think the other truck giveaway just looked better. The Pete is nice looking, but that color scheme just doesn't make it look as good as the other giveaway truck (sorry, I forgot the names you gave the trucks). Just a suggestion, maybe try a different truck, don't just do a similar style truck back to back. Keep the Pete for now or sell it & try a different style in the next giveaway. Just my 2 cents, hate for you to lose money on an awesome classic.
I love it I wish I could get my cousins fraightliner my uncle used to drive he passed away 3 months ago from a heart attack and the truck is for sale not sure how much he wants
You mist Truck Star Festival Assen. The Netherlands Bruce. The have of Europ was there. More than 50000 people in 1 weekend came to see 2200 Truck from Europe. Greetings from Bunschoten-Spakenburg the Netherlands.
The main reason I think there's issues with doing a semi giveaway Is the fact that most people viewing probably don't have the means to store and insure a vehicle this large or simply dont have a CDL to even drive it. Unless you plan on trucking with it; It's kind of a very large yard ornament at that point. Which is a shame to just have rot away in the hands of someone else. It's just a fact some people are enthusiasts not truck drivers. It's either you do it for a living or not at all. You are a collector Bruce. Which has allowed you to accumulate some very rare pieces of history. Why break up the collection? If us viewers can't keep up financially with these vehicles but you can why get rid of the vehicles you love? Greetings from Brooksville🌴🌴
Head on over to brucewilsonshop.com right away to get entered and snag one of VERY limited quantity MYSTERY BOXES!
What happen to the tractor taxi
Keep it looking as is. Looks awsome just make it run. Maybe get it a bit prettier inside 😂
Watching 👀 your video from The Big Island of Hawaii
Like your stuff your doing
Restoring classic trucks like this Mack B-61 is so important. It’s a beautiful piece of American history that deserves to be preserved 💪
What you have is a B61 MACK that has a 6 Cylinder Thermodine with the Quadroplex 5x4 gearbox in a unitary housing. I remember seeing the Mack Thermodine with the bulldog on the hood. Really nice truck as well.

Leave the dent! It adds character to the truck. BTW, that metal is thick, so it will take a lot to knock out that dent
I have an DF 405 1958 International that was an oil field truck it has heavy ring like hitch in the front . Holland PA by Richboro PA???
Get the vin # call the Mack museum they will give you the build sheet on it when they made it.
That truck deserves a restoration and paint.
A lot of the companies from the Northeast, the cab would be one color, and most times the front fenders were gloss black , also… some had diamond plate front fenders!! Cool rig !!
Fix the dent except for the patina restore as much as possible. All old iron needs resurrected. It's AMERICAN history.

I would love to see trucks like that in the UK
Renault was the first buyer. Now owned by Volvo. Road tractors are built in NC at Volvo plant. Industrial units are still built in PA,

Giveaways make me sad. They are never going to get sent to New Zealand. Canada is as "overseas" as it ever gets

He should keep the Mack original
Brother I bought a tee shirt and a hat and believe me it's identical to my dead grandfather's cabover Pete that was stolen after he died and cut up and parted out so I definitely want this truck
The B61 is one of my all time favourite trucks ,keep it as is, I do not think their is anyone here in Ireland. I might be wrong
So gutted that the ‘win a cabover’ competition isn’t open to your cousins across the pond 🇬🇧 😢😢
But loving the Mack 💪😎 🇺🇸
That truck is cool shame we don't have nothing like that anymore that would be a a brilliant collectors item😮
If u didn’t drive one u just don’t know how bad it could be these units was built before interstate high ways. U had to keep a blanket with u year round n summer to keep the heat off u and n winter to keep from freezing. Just saying be careful what u wish for top speed was 45-50 down hill

How awesome that truck would look painted.
Not a concourse resto, but a nice consistent eye candy
Ever think about keeping it looking original but making everything functional as it would have been? Putting he spare tire back on the roller working again and so on?
I would love to have that beautiful Cab over. It’s my dream truck. Only down fall is. I have an Automatic endorsement on my cdls. Only been driving since 9/11/2020
Are you coming to Finland Power Truck Show on 9th - 10th of August? Do not miss it.
restore it completly except for the paint clean it and repair all imperfections the clearcoat it. i started on these trucks in the early seventies
I drove a B61 Mack for Texaco in 1969! Brooklyn NY, Double stick 10 speed.
The trailers you are referring to Bruce are called floaters! Have a great trip!
I used to have on them b61 and they work open close all the time while you're driving it
Leave it original. It’s a beauty!!!
It's got battle scars leave it as natural as possible it's got the look ya can't duplicate
Your a great guy ! That cab over is awesome you should get $30,000 minimum for that ride !
I absolutely Love the Cab over Pete.❤💯🇺🇸
I would definitely participate to win the cab over if I could, but I guess it would cost a small fortune to ship it to Norway.
If you at some point give away something smaller, that can be shipped worldwide, I'll buy myself a couple of t-shirts and hats. I promise! 😊
New Zealand is a similar problem. The cash portion is for taxes I think otherwise $5k US would go a long way towards postage😊
I would have placed more/bigger orders specifically for the giveaway but there’s just not enough merch on your website. I did see the “Buy Entries” but I’d much rather get something instead of just buying entries. Make stickers of the trucks/projects, more hat designs, more t-shirts. Love to see you put mack or white on the road do them up nice least a transporter b awsome love see these two at work or on a road trip video
Do the mack justice repaint that truck ring it back to its former glory, mack trucks were built to do what other trucks couldn't do and the twin stick in that truck gives it torque and power you can't get from a regular single stick, do it eight paint that mack
B61 quad box was the first truck I learned to drive.
Friend, I'm in Brazil / Rio de Janeiro, I'm waiting for the videos, this truck is a rarity
Leave truck like it is
Got to say I'd love to win the cab-over but I'm in the UK so nuff said!
Dang "Brutus" just flat lit up!!! Well that stinks about hardly nobody has bought merch for "Easy Money". I call it that because if You remember You named the Red Scalia " Hank" cause You wanted an American Name for a Foreign Truck!!! Awesome video Bruce 👌 can't wait to see the vintage mack truck up & running.😊
BRUCE WILSON SALUDOS CARROS MJ 🇨🇷🖐️ THE MACK 61 BEATIFULL MACK THE POWER AMERICAN 💪🇺🇸
Camel back springs you had to be tough to ride them all day
I wouldn't Evan sand it down give a good wash and spray it with clear coat and that dent I would leave it gives it character and tells it's own unique story.
Leave it as it is there is a lot of history there
Brutus looks awesome, I did put in an order today, man…if I won, this would save me!
I would love to have that ole cab over. That would be all I need to get into driving trucks otr
Bruce vintage trucks are cool this Mac needs to be restored and taken to truck shows just a thought
I think you should add more L.E.D LIGHTS UNDERNEATH THE TRUCK AND SHOW IT AT NIGHT TIME WITH THEM ON ALONG WITH A SET OF L.E.D WHIPS
The reason why project blew collar. The cowboy were freightliner did so well because that's one of the trucks that started your UA-cam career. This Peter built a cool truck. Why did this don't have the fallon as the freightliner
I can't wait to watch you restore this truck! Great content.
Honestly, if you get it running and driving but leave the body the way it is, you can name it MAD MAX
The Mack patina is nice ❤
The cab over peterbilt is a good looking rig.Would love to win it.
WOW Nice lights
My dad taught me to shift a5 x4 transmission he had in all of his trucks.
Love that pete cab over
Just a suggestion redo the inside and turn it into an old style tow truck with modern convenience AC nice seats you could run it in the parades around
I love it I wish I could get my cousins fraightliner my uncle used to drive he passed away 3 months ago from a heart attack and the truck is for sale not sure how much he wants
I love that cubover truck
On that white.. ide buff 100% of that rig .. wash then poppys .. Enjoy your trip man..

Regarding the old Mac why not fix it put in a Scania v8 with gearbox and make a "Hotrod" truck out of it just a cool thought.
