My current mileage between regen is currently 485 according to my idash. 22 lm2
You should look at Banks, no hot air sucker. All cold air from inner fender
Banks doesn't make one for these trucks, I do love BANKS!
I’m guessing Banks doesn’t make one because the factory intake is something GM got right and it’s very difficult to improve upon.
Need the K&N cold air scoop.
Not something offered by them for this application.
Too bad you can’t do a mod to the factory box or just buy an lid like that and foam filter for the factory box..these intakes take a while to install
I know I did mine took an hr or so
@@DaveE-b1c they used to be so easy lol, hardest part was getting everything fit, the box down between the coolant tank and wiring harness..intake hose on turbo wasn’t terrible but not fun with the way the turbo is positioned
You can 3D print one
@@chadwick1084 I don’t have a printer, looks like I might have to invest in one, seems like the thing to do when you want to make something no one has or the part is too expensive
@@kivetts04dmax heck yea you can do it brother!
I prefer stock with k&n drop in k&n. Same fuel economy, same sound
I disagree on the same sound, the intake is loud ! I also prefer stock box with K&N filter.
To be honest I didn’t not pay much attention to the sound before, but standing in front of the truck with the hood popped, I agree it’s loud. Keep up the good work bro!
@@caleblewis3463 thanks !
Spend all that coin. Just enlarge cold air pickup on inlet. And u can figure the high pressure area at speed for location for positive press air
So K&N is the route to take ?
Why do anything? I’m getting 35 mpg freeway on my 2023 TrailBoss Duramax
Sometimes it’s ok to have fun 🙃
What are you doing about the excessive use of DEF when pulling a heavy load on a long trip ?
Honestly just after the sound from the cold air intakes, anything I can do to the factory for noise? (Warranty is gone so that’s no factor)
Best sound should come from the upcoming turbo replacement from vse.
Currently, just an intake will improve sound but hurt mpg.
Cant for the life of me see how better airflow can rob mpg's. Unless the intake is pulling in hot air?
Check my longer videos on the intakes. The S&b puts the maf in a bend and I larger diameter pipe, so I’m assuming that has a lot to do with it
Hot air drops fuel mileage
@@MrRadideacorrect, but it’s only hot air at idle. This is the only intake (I’ve tested them all) that produced hand calculated positive results.
Speeding thr air up or making slower than the MAF is designed for causes all kinds of issues. Checknout Banks video on air intakes. I realize they don't make an intake for this application, but it'll help you not waste money.
@@DemonWorks Did you run any dyno comparisons??
Have you tested the S&B on a 6.2? Made mine considerably slower..... As others I know as well
U need a tune for a cold air intake cuh or just put ur stock air filter back on cuh
