- If your squash, zucchini, or pumpkins bloom but don't make mature fruits, then there may not be enough bees in the area to pollinate them. It only takes a few seconds to hand pollinate them, so you need to visit your garden in the early morning to accomplish this task. This is also necessary if you are growing under insect nets, or in a greenhouse.

Yea, I have a few bees coming, but not like usual. When my first couple of zucchini didn't mature, I started hand pollinating since I only planted 4 zucchini this year.

How do you attract bees
We have these huge chestnut trees that bloom in May. They attract hundreds of bees, that will move into the garden after the blooms fall from the chestnut trees. My wife also has a huge flower garden. Thanks for watching.
Do you have any advice on how to protect young plants after putting in the garden? I have something trying to eat my leaves, I have honey nut squash and zucchini growing but I have to put a net on my container so they will be protected lol .Thank u sir
I had to put up a 7 foot fence to keep the deer out of my back yard. Otherwise you could spray some hot pepper sauce diluted in water that might stop some critters from eating. If it's bugs, then Sevin spray or liquid. Good luck.
